  1. Howarth has done fine so far, last 2 not the best but I expect him to score well at Poole.
  2. Id have taken that before the meeting. Fisher is really struggling at the moment, I think a change wont be to far away.
  3. Wolves to win but Bees to take a losing point back to Brandon.
  4. He has been exactly what SCB describes in the last 3 years. Im still hopeful of an improvement from Bomber, home form is solid enough but he does need better performances away. Starting today would be nice!
  5. Birminghams side has 4 riders who are or would be PL number 1s and Covatti a heat leader, they would walk the PL.
  6. You look at all the riders scores and they are solid and frankly none deserve to be dropped but Larsen is riding very well at the minute and a top 3 of Hans, Larsen and Harris would be one of the best. I think it would also keep Hansen and Howarth as 2nd strings for the whole season.
  7. Id be embarrassed if I wrote a post like this, deary me!
  8. If they can get Artem Laguta over here its brilliant news for Leicester and British Speedway.
  9. I don't see anything other than a close meeting, most if not all of the Bees riders have performed well at Wolves in the past. Its one of Bombers favourite away tracks so we need him to score well.
  10. I have found on the whole meetings and racing are a lot closer than previous years. Heat leaders facing each other more offen is a big plus for me. Problem with Birmingham is even when they were successful the crowds were not there despite countless offers. I really fear for them.
  11. We can certainly gain a point from this after our last performance at Poole. Just need Bomber to improve his last score of 3 and I can see Garrity getting the better of Newman this time as Newman hasnt performed as well since his injury. Edit: didnt realise Newman scored 9 last time out so his battle with Garrity will be key.
  12. Bees should be looking at taking at least a point from this, im assuming we have a full team?
  13. Get the council involved has to be in the thinking, show them what this sport can do and the visitors it can attract and you never know they might even help fund it. For councils its all about tourism and if it will be used by the local community.
  14. Its a slightly different situation as it was Gp qualifiers that Swindon ( and Coventry) were missing riders for. The dates for that were already known in advance, the SEC qualifying dates were announced after the release of fixtures. Not sure about timelines with Bomber and his late gp inclusion. As I said with Coventry last season the home team shouldnt have to cancel a meeting just because the away side can only track a weakened side, its not their fault. Who would cancel when there is a guaranteed 3 points and avoid a fixture pile up at the end of the season where they may have to race on a non race night. Coventry on plenty of occasions have rode home meetings severely depleted, its the planning of the fixtures over the whole of British Speedway that needs looking at.
  15. The main issue is we still do not know who has bought the stadium, is it Sandhu or someone else? No planning application has been put in and MPs and concillors do seem keen to keep Coventry Bees. As for a new stadium if it was to ever happen it won't be like what some are hoping for although I'm holding a little hope for the Ricoh!
  16. Where I work there are collections most weeks for all sorts of reason like a death in the family, having a child or leaving the job. This is no different.
  17. The home team should never have to rearrange if they don't want to. It was bad enough being without Harris and Garrity but with Hans missing too highlights the poor planning. Time to look at the idea of squads?
  18. I suppose R/R will score more than what guests are available.
  19. The Laguta brothers usually have issues in gaining visas in Britain.
  20. I'd also go for Steve Worrall at 1, riding well and beaten 2nd strings often. Does seem poor that they can't swap the Cov and Swindon meetings around or swap Hans and Kildemand in the qualifiers.
  21. Yep it was announced after the fixture calender was agreed. As Blayne said we stick to the rules so will do as the rulebook says. Any news on guests?
  22. Harris paid 18 and Hansen 9 in the last 2 home meetings, Hansen having much easier heats too. Either the track gets more dirt or we have to replace Hansen, scoring 4 and 5 at home as a 2nd string isnt good enough. How many more does Howarth miss at home, hopefully not too many more.
  23. Last nights score of 8 was average expect a little more at home but other riders scores deserve more criticism than Bombers.
  24. Why all the doom and gloom? I predicted we will lose a few at home but perform well away and that is what is happening so far, I think we are still on course for a play off spot. It seems there was a meeting last night with the promotion, riders and track staff, the track certainly needs to be prepared for our riders strengths. Our track is neutral enough as it is.
  25. Horton has requested more dirt on the track, he says so on press releases and also Blayne has commented on it. I wasnt there last night but it seems it was very dull.
