  1. I wouldn't be surprised to see other clubs make similar signings now we have set race days. To think some say the Premiership wouldn't be stronger in 2018. He's certainly a talent. Looking at those stats I guess he would be higher than 4!
  2. Manzares rode pretty well at Kings Lynn in the SWC.
  3. Riders like Tai gained their average while using the old format which heat leaders didn't face reserves. This is why the league has the potential to be stronger as they are leaving the averages alone it seems.
  4. Money! Can't seeing him adding a 3rd league to his schedule.
  5. Hancock has already said he won't be riding in Britain this year. He also now has a spot in Poland.
  6. I think Swindon would've done anyway to be honest.
  7. The only ones over 8 I can think of that didn't ride here last year are Hancock Pedersen Janowski Iversen Jonsson Sayfutdinov Zmarzlik and Dudek assessed over 8? The rest I think would be under 8. Only Iversen on that list would be likely to ride here next year anyway.
  8. I think they have plenty to go on not giving Horton a licence! Whoever has the licence has the right to run Speedway. Doesn't matter who 'owns' a club name, you just set up a new company, get a bspa licence and your good to go, happened at Leicester last year.
  9. Or you can set up a new company and the bspa give you the licence instead of Horton. Accounts to Nov 30 2016 are late, they were due in August.
  10. Probably because future projects are more important at the minute? There is no guarantee that Horton will get a licence anyway, no point paying more for something when it can/will be cheaper in future.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if the Premiership was stronger than last year. Vaculik already in and Zagar wanting to come back.
  12. Only Iversen and Jonsson are the only 2 riders currently not riding here who could be interested to return with an average over 8. The rest have zero interest in riding here. The one over 8 rule is daft as it just wasn't needed and not sure UK would tempt more than eight 8+ riders here anyway!
  13. I wonder who is covering this for Bees at Leicester?
  14. Tai Woffinden final Green Sheet average in 2016 was 7.03 and they used that figure to convert his average for the start of 2017. He's 7.03
  15. Meetings will be on Sunday afternoons. Coventry Observer are currently doing a poll. Will you travel to support Coventry Bees at Leicester speedway if the club were to run in the National League: Yes 44 No 161
  16. But it won't be the rule fault it would be because no one signs him.
  17. I think Rosco would've had to let go of either Doyle or Morris anyway.
  18. Use a championship rider. Yes if your number one is the injured rider you'd be screwed but most of the time your screwed anyway.
  19. To be honest the 1 over 8 rule shouldn't stop the League improving its quality. There are 7 riders over 8 who rode here last season and the ones over 8 that didnt wouldnt ride here next season anyway. There are a few quality riders under 8 who didn't ride here last season: Woffinden Pawlicki x2 Kildemand Lindback Zagar Milik Przedpelski Jepsen Jensen Lebedevs Sundstrom And others. The problem with the rule is that it didn't need to be made anyway. Fans now think it's stopping the top coming over when the reality is Polish rules would stop most.
  20. But they can gain one. A few of the so called superstars average under 8!
