  1. Pretty much about not enjoying the sport as he had some things going on privately and it's now been sorted. Had help with depression too but he feels he is now ready to race. His original decision to retire wasn't about money as some seem to claim.
  2. Still half the field to be announced. I'd expect a few big names will be added.
  3. If people read what Bridger has posted over the last few days on twitter people might understand why he took the decision to retire at that time. He had only retired once before, he isn't the first nor the last sportsman to retire and then change his mind. Of course it could backfire but it could with any rider so looking at it Bridger in a 2nd string role is an excellent signing.
  4. I dont think anyone should pay what they cant afford or break the bank. Bridger is the safe option, Pawlicki was obviously everyone's number 1 choice though. Not too sure we will see Pawlicki in Britain this season.
  5. I hope not, Lewis has 8 weeks to get equipment ready hence the need to rush around and borrow. I doubt he has much sponsorship helping him at the minute. I'd say other riders started planning for this season before last season finished so he is way behind.
  6. Think it's more the rush to get equipment together in 8 weeks which needed funds asap.
  7. Lewis Bridger has tweeted that he has had to borrow half his speedway salary to race this season. Fair play to him for that.
  8. Simon Stead next name announced. Loving the British feel so far, hopefully with a sprinkle of top foreign performers.
  9. I can't deny that to be honest but he's has had help over the winter. The fact other clubs were interested shows his value on the average he achieved despite all that and riding as a heat leader half the season. Could go wrong but with who is in our team I think he will fit in well. It will also help him him and King alternating at 3 and 4.
  10. He also had some excellent displays which 6-7 point riders tend to have. He had issues privately which meant he didn't enjoy riding if you read his twitter over the last few days. He says he has now sorted that so let's see what he can do with a hopefully clear mind.
  11. King likely to drop into a 2nd string role occasionally, side looks very good to me.
  12. Nor me. Either him or King will be a 2nd string throughout the season, that's a strong side.
  13. Andy Warren the Swindon journalist tweeted he is hearing Bridger to Coventry. That will upset a few.
  14. Good to see Howarth named. I hope it's a mix of young Brits and top names in the field. Jason Garrity the next rider named.
  15. I'd say Pawlicki would be everyone's number one choice and would probably make us favourites in the EL. Bridger, Mads and Kylmakorpi are 2nd choice no doubt but i wouldn't be disappointed with any of them. It's good that we have plenty of choices, even MJJ fits.
  16. Bridger would makes us stronger than having Woodward. People may not like him but to suggest otherwise is just plain wrong. Don't think it will be him anyway.
  17. To be fair Bridger would certainly do a good job as a 2nd string rider although he isn't a favourite of mine. Mads Korneliussen is a decent shout.
  18. I thought that before it was announced Woodward would miss the start. Don't think it will be long before an announcement is made.
  19. Pawlicki would be ideal but think it will be someone like Kylmakorpi.
