  1. I really enjoyed last years event and £15 a ticket is brilliant value. Cant make this year but will be watching on the tv.
  2. If you want to go on form Harris is in better form than King Barker and Kennett. His scores on the continent have been decent this year it just his British form thats been a bit off but even thats getting better.
  3. Where is the meeting held? If there is no official practice id guess Zengota would ride for the Bees on the 5th.
  4. Cant believe some people dont want Bomber in the team. Yes he hasnt had a great season but he didnt last year either and didnt let GB down. He was brilliant at KL last year. Worrall HAS to be picked at the KL meeting at least, the guy has beaten plenty of top riders around there this season. Id agree that i might change him for Prague unless he has a stormer. Cook at KL will worry me slightly but should still get points as his gating is impressive. In Prague which is known as gate and go he should do well and get a solid score. Tai is Tai he will get double figure scores anywhere. His scores will keep us in the hunt at the race off but i think we will fall short in the end.
  5. With monster sponsoring the GP's id guess its a real possibility and will do the sport a world of good.
  6. It doesnt help when riders who could easily ride a day before a qualifier chose not to. No wonder Swindon had 4 guests on Friday with that level of commitment. Id try a squad system if it was done correctly.
  7. Worrall has just got a maximum at Kings Lynn, not to pick him would be a wrong decision for me. At another track id probably pick someone else.
  8. The Danes are favourites but i think we can beat Sweden. None of their riders are on great form at the moment.
  9. Id pick Cook and Worrall for the Kings Lynn meeting but pick King for Prague unless Worrall impresses. Home track advantage must surely help Worrall to beat a few more established riders.
  10. The Ricoh almost lost planning permission for traffic issues, it has a dual carrigeway running along side it and M6 motorway a mile away. If CCFC were to move to Brandom a whole new road would have to be built behind the stadium. The plans are to start with a 12k stadium then expand if/when promoted to 20k+. The infrastructure around the whole area will not handle that.
  11. Key word potential. Why would Sandhu sell if he could build houses or improve the stadium? He has failed in his bids so now wants to sell up. They would have to build an entirely new road behind the stadium for any development.
  12. I think whoever buys it will buy it as a motorsport stadium and not land. Its quite well known that the local council are quite adament that the land cannot be used for housing/supermarket. The road access is just to narrow for anything else.
  13. Not going to happen for a number of reasons. 1, The current 'owners' might not own the club in a few weeks as the deadline to place bids to buy the club is tomorrow. Even id their bid was somehow excepted then they will have to pass the FL fit and proper test. I dont think the FL will let them re buy the club. 2, planning permission will surely fail? Sandhu has had plans to build stands and turnstiles rejected by the local council. The main issue is access to the site. Also i doubt local residents would want 12,000 football fans taking over their village every other week.
  14. Erm you can get damp inside anywhere through all sorts of weather not just rain. I agree they should have sorted it before practice.
  15. I arrived last night and the guy at the desk said Newport have had awful weather. The issue seemed to be it got damp while being transported to the stadium. Doesnt matter if the materials were damp before arriving.
  16. Practice is at 10am according to Lindback. With announcing a practice im assuming they are quite confident the changes have improved things.
  17. Do you know if this new shale arrived in time and have they got it down onto the track yet?
  18. The organisers will do everything in their power to get it on. I read that the shale originally bought in was damp therefore didnt settle well. The new shale should sort that so im cautiously hopeful it will go ahead.
  19. Id guess it will be bigger than last year with Tai 2nd and the Football season over.
  20. A few weeks back id have had Kennett ahead of King but Kennetts form has dipped. Its a shame Nicholls has ruled himself out he has certainly picked up form in the last few weeks.
  21. I dont really look at riders form in league speedway but more in the qualifiers and the SWC and i think that is what BSI do to. If a Brit makes the gp challange and does well in the SWC it gives the organisers more of an excuse to get a Brit in. Unfortunetly i dont think there is one yet but i think Cook could surprise a few at Kings Lynn in July.
  22. There are plenty of tracks who rent there stadiums and recieve no income from food and drink sales, Coventry is one.
  23. What i dont like about the T/R is that if a team gets a T/R 2nd and and team mate 3rd they get 5-3. The old tac sub would still be 3-3, for me thats rewarding failure.
  24. Brilliant performance from Tai last night, Cardiff will be even louder than usual!
