Coventry V Leicester 20 March Emb 2nd Leg
Woz01 replied to TMW's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We do look extremely strong at Brandon, I'd say a win around ten but depends on Jamrog's form. Another 0 and it will be close. -
It happened occasionally in the past when Sandhu owned us but I don't think it happens now.
-
He had had a few issues during the winter including someone impersonating him on twitter and causing issues in his private life, his crew allegedly spending his money and general poor work standards and on top of that his testimonial to organise. He has been training he has tweeted about it but not the level he obviously wanted to but as he says he will keep on top of it. It seems he had a good night at King's Lynn so it's not hindered him too much.

Leicester V Coventry Emb 15 03 2015 12:00 Start

This is what I've been saying, no need to panic. Leicester had plenty of track time over the weekend we didn't which showed in a couple of falls and mechanical issues. We got beat at Leicester just before the play offs to but no one panicked then. The 2nd leg will be a different meeting entirely I'm sure. -

Coventry V Leicester 20 March Emb 2nd Leg

Why not? Apart from Jamrog (maybe) we are packed with Brandon specialists or are we just writing them off already because of one away performance? I know which 1-7 I'd have at Brandon. -

We should win the home leg, I'd say by 8-10 -
Chris Harris Testimonial ?
Woz01 replied to greytiger's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I think most of these meetings have struggled to get quality involved this early in the season. I think this line up is decent as already said it has a Coventry feel to it and also has up and coming riders plus a few gp riders past and present. Two more to be named yet, wonder who they are. -
Was it Fords decision?

Chris Harris Testimonial ?

Certainly does. I'm glad Fricke is in the line up, I'm a big fan of his despite that he's an Aussie! -

Rory Schlein, Olly Allen and Max Fricke announced. -
Perhaps the F.I.M don't recognise Poole as champs as they want Darcy points to be removed as per his sentence. That would've made Kings Lynn top. Could've asked the runners up 1st though.
-
This is the thing, in Poland he has beaten top riders in the last few of years but he has no pedigree in Britain. We have to see how he performs at Brandon he deserves that at least. I'm sure if we look at scores in Poland he would have beaten the likes of Walasek and Wozniak on occasions so you'd think at a track like Brandon he can do it too.
-
Just wondered how they came to pick Kings Lynn that's all. Perhaps the Darcy punishment has something to do with it so in F.I.M eyes Kings Lynn finished top.
-
Maybe not but I've written riders off before and been completely wrong. I'd at the very least give him a home challenge meeting before I make my mind up.
-
He had potential his scores in Poland show that but not sure whether he will do it in Britain. Some Poles just don't for whatever reason.
-
That is true one of them a fall but the line up was better than he will face on Friday. I was just pointing out he can do it and he has shown it at Brandon not necessarily that I think he will on a consistent basis.
-
Kings Lynn replace Poole in the World Champions League meeting. I wonder if we were asked or used the league table?
-
New averages come out in May so ideally if changes were needed it would happen before then. I'm clinging on to the hope that Jamrog will do well at Brandon the track isn't new to him and beaten Nicholls Bjarne and KK in of his heats on his last visit. Having said that he will need to improve away to stay in the side.
-
Im not suggesting doing it now but could we even replace Jamrog if he's on an assessed average? Do we have to wait till he has an official one?
-
What the hell is wrong with you? It's a Coventry thread so I thought I'd put his performance on here which was good. If you read the meeting thread you will see I wasn't happy with the performance of most, bomber scored ok in that, not great but ok. I won't insult you back as I won't stoop to your level but if you want to insult me I'd rather you say it to my face. Oh and by the way me and mdmc82 have rarely got on in the past as she will tell you herself. Really don't know why I bother on here. I give out a result of a Bees rider and I get stick for it. No point or need for it but I won't bother anymore.
-
Bomber finishes 3rd behind Bjerre and Iversen in Schleins testimonial at King's Lynn.
-
Pawlicki was always highly unlikely. Harris scored 2,2,3,ef in Schlein testimonial so far. He was leading his 4 ride until he retired.

The rules stops us. Can only have 2 double uppers. I'd also look closer to home if your suggesting we shold have a brit instead of a Pole. -
I'm sure Robbo was signed for his performances at Brandon last season which on the whole were impressive. This is it we have until May when the first set of averages come out, no point in panicking yet. Options are out there if needed.
