Tai and Bomber should be certainties and id pick Cook too. Harris and Cook have performed well at KL recently and Harris never lets GB down. Last place is a tough one, id probably pick King but I wouldnt mind a youngster coming into the side. If Russia qualify for this event then we will need our best side possible, it should be a very good meeting.

I wasnt a fan of Tai a couple of years back but the last 2 years he has been nothing but a model professional. He is good at promoting the sport, the kids love him and the fundraising he is continuing to do is first class.

I believe that was the change of ownership of the club not stadium. Ryan had said his family were actually living here illegally last year. Nothing final has been reported regarding the stadium far as I'm aware.

Get the council involved has to be in the thinking, show them what this sport can do and the visitors it can attract and you never know they might even help fund it. For councils its all about tourism and if it will be used by the local community.

The main issue is we still do not know who has bought the stadium, is it Sandhu or someone else? No planning application has been put in and MPs and concillors do seem keen to keep Coventry Bees. As for a new stadium if it was to ever happen it won't be like what some are hoping for although I'm holding a little hope for the Ricoh!

Where I work there are collections most weeks for all sorts of reason like a death in the family, having a child or leaving the job. This is no different.

Its a good job the World Cup is at the end of July and and not beginning of May. Plenty of time for riders form to change around, a good showing in the race off is the most we should expect. The U21 side looks promising though!

No conspiracy here, I read yesterday that the track in Austria would not be ready for the meeting. I remember looking at pictures of the venue last year and the track was in a right state a few hours before the meeting

That statement applies to almost every rider in the world yet you use it to attack Bomber. Poor.

Bomber is Britains number 3 (number 2 if you don't include Nicholls) so of course he deserves his place in the qualifying rounds. Its upto the youngsters to be above him in a British Final then they will deserve a spot.

I wonder how much rent is a Brandon, it cant be a million miles away from 100k. If this new stadium for BV is 66k rent a year it shouldnt be a problem especially if its similar to what they are paying now.

No contest GP's for me. I can go to a world event in a world class stadium every year, whats not to like? Also much more likely getting the best rider that year being World Champ.

I agree, in Coventry where I live id say most people know what speedway is and know who the Coventry Bees are. Certainly in my place of work the sport is known by most. Tai Woffinden is the perfect role model for my kids, stays out of trouble, talks well and has a determination to succeed. My daughter idolises him and I have no problem with that apart from when she cheers for him against the Bees!

Im struggling to find one in Coventry! The few places I know stock it havent got any left. I suppose if you cant watch speedway because the track is awful you might aswell read about it!
