  1. Newman is certainly the best around Brandon, Sarjeant and Garrity didn't have the best night to be fair. Sarjeant improved as the night went on beat Newman in heat 12 and possibly in heat 8 too if he made that opening lap move stick, unlucky to tangle with Joonas. Garrity also unlucky to get excluded after passing Newman. I thought we would've got more from our reserves and maybe unlucky we didn't but overall Poole just about deserved the win despite our bad luck, the opening 5 heats did the damage. Onto the next one to claim the points back!
  2. The Poole meeting highlighted the fact that when the new averages come out a change will need to be made. Imagine us having a 6pt rider at number 2?
  3. Doesn't help dropping only 1 point the night before when guesting though. His score was the difference in winning and losing unfortunately. Luckily he shouldn't perform that badly again.
  4. I dont respond to him. Just a post to cause a reaction. I must be one of a few that thought is was a decent meeting overall, several passes and dodgy decisions. It did drag on a bit though. Harris looked super quick, only if he could gate. Sarjeant also unlucky when he went down, that would've been a superb opening lap move.
  5. I'd certainly have taken the T/R, what was there to lose? I'd agree that Hans was a huge let down. Scoring anywhere near what he shouldve would have won us the meeting. Newman impressive although very lucky to get another chance in heat 12. From my position I also thought Harris was unlucky in heat 3 although my angle suggested he was slightly ahead but I concede at a different angle it may have looked different. I have no issue with the result in the end, the first 5 heats won it for Poole.
  6. Not that it would change the meeting but a poor decision to exclude Garrity from where I'm standing.
  7. What a complete shambles, surely different opposition should be riding on this date instead. It's not that hard is it?
  8. It will be my dad's first meeting since he moved back to Britain so hopefully brings that bit of extra luck.
  9. I think Newman will have to beat Garrity and Sarjeant pretty much every heat for Poole to win by that score. The way Sarjeant in particular is riding at Brandon I don't see it happening. It will be a good test for the reserve pairings and it's them heats I'm looking forward to most actually.
  10. Tractors have been going around tracks since i started watching in the 80s, it's not exactly a new phenomenon. More needs to be done while they are grading the track, a bit more fan interaction would be a start. Ice Hockey do that well in between intervals.
  11. In Wyken where I live the rain was minimal I very much doubt the track will be affected.
  12. Sun is back out. Local weather guy called it a "rogue shower" as it wasn't expected at all.
  13. Bizarrely it's just starting raining in Coventry. Doubt it will amount to much.
  14. I'd go along with that. Not much between the teams at Brandon but it's not exactly Holders favourite venue. Poole missing Starke just swings it our way I feel.
  15. It's a very good start from Lawson but remember we are still in April, things change as a season progresses.
  16. Should be a good close meeting and hopefully a good crowd.
  17. To be fair that's very ignorant and total rubbish aswell.
  18. If Robson was close to riding last week I'd guess he will ride this week. Think we will win this but it will be close. I believe it's Holders first meeting at Brandon since that awful crash?
  19. Yes, no way could they afford 4 speedway meetings and a stox meeting all in one month.
  20. I know several that go to both. The difference is they go to stocks every time which is monthly yet they also go to speedway once a month when there can be upto 4 meetings in that month.
  21. There are plenty of kids that do go to watch speedway but the issue is keeping them interested during their teenage years then as adults. My daughter has just turned 13 but still seems interested in going. I had a gap between 18-24 when I rarely attended (mainly because of money) but I got back into going regularly after that.
