  1. I agree with you he should ride in Britain as other gp riders do but to drop him from the GB team is just the wrong way to go. He wants to ride in it and as a fan I want him to ride in it too. We can make a final here, that would be good for the sport in this country.
  2. Have they announced admission prices yet?
  3. But the meeting coordinator who decides said an inspection after heat 9, he never delivered! He even had the gall to think rider safety wasn't his concern. All he was bothered about was getting to Heat 10. Disgusting attitude to not even look at the track!
  4. There was no inspection of the track after heat 9 as promised. We all heard it on the Sky broadcast. Not doing that leaves them open.
  5. I've read on more that one occasion on different sites that Watt didn't want to ride heat 10 either and was threatened with a fine, that obviously could just be hearsay. As for Holder he has already said it shouldn't have started as it was raining in heat 1. Didn't think of it like that.
  6. Anyone else think GB have a great chance of getting straight to the final again? Even if we went to the race off I'd fancy our chances now Russia have no Emil.
  7. I don't think for one second it will be re staged but let's not forget the club were hit very hard financially because it was made to run. I can understand why they want it re run but thats not really fair on Poole. Let's remember the actual argument here, that the staging club wasn't allowed to postpone a meeting or have the track they wanted. Also the meeting coordinator said they will inspect the track after heat 9, they didn't follow it up. This could've happened at any track, it's an issue that needs resolving for the sport in general and I applaud the Bees promotion making a stand. We can't just let GoSpeed make decisions which will hit a club financially just so they can get paid.

  9. What if the did contact Horton, I can guess what he would've said at the suggestion of cancelling a meeting over 48 hours before it starts.
  10. Postponing 48 hours in advance, ridiculous, You'd never get a season finished. They were happy to postpone 48 before based on forecast but not in the hours leading to the meeting? Ridiculous. It basically says no postponement because Sky were committed to it. Sod riders safety!
  11. Heat 1 was 62 seconds and heat 10 was 66 seconds. It's usually around the 59-60 seconds mark at Brandon.
  12. Then if that's the case it's one rule for one and a rule for the rest. Go Speed do the tracks when on tv especially with a dodgy forecast. If Horton did call it off earlier a fine and or points would been deducted no doubt! GoSpeed sort the deal with Sky don't they. I don't think promoters are involved but could be wrong
  13. He wasn't allowed as it was fine in the morning, he would've called it based on forecast. That would be the same at any track. Sky and GoSpeed call the shots in a tv meeting, even track prep. Remember the promotion has lost thousands of pounds because of this.
  14. Holder tweeted to Kylmakorpi the meeting shouldn't have started. As Horton stated during the podcast he wasn't allowed to call it off in the morning, he would have given the choice. Holder in heat 10 showed it shouldn't have continued they were lucky there wasn't 4 men out on track.
  15. A year ago I'd have disagreed with that but now I'm all for it.
  16. But they were promised an inspection after heat 9 and that didn't happen so had every right not to go out on the grounds of safety. They didn't give a toss what the riders thoughts were the only thing in the officials mind was "get to heat 10"
  17. It seems crazy to me that the Bees promotion had no say whatsoever over anything yesterday. From not allowed to call it off early to not even allowed to prepare the track and now because of it the promotion has lost thousands of pounds and the manager and riders fined. It's just a ridiculous situation.
  18. Chris Harris missus has just said as well as Havvy the RIDERS were also fined. Absolute joke.
  19. He also said if it was his call he would've called it off this morning. Are we the only sport where circumstances differ when on tv? Sky don't determine when cricketers leave the field when it's raining and Sky don't decide how a wicket is prepared. Time to get rid of Sky. Horton also stated he will lose tens of thousands because of being forced to run tonight.
  20. It's the heat 10 rule that's the farce! If the losing team knows it's going to get called off after heat 10 then of course they would ask for an earlier abandonment. Why wait till heat 10 if it isn't safe before that? If the the track is the same after heat 10 than it was in heat 9 then do heat 11 and so on. Remember before heat 10 Bees were still very much in the meeting but they knew it would be called after heat 10 as it wasn't safe before that.
  21. Rain has hit Coventry already. Last time I checked the forecast no rain was due till later in the afternoon.
  22. Shame Kyle just missed out, I'd think he'd give a good account of himself in that field. Fair play to Stefan for qualifying.
