  1. We all know Bees can pull a result of at Poole we've done it often enough. Hopefully a Bees win but head says Poole to win by 6.
  2. Would it be shown on the speedway.gp website? I think its shown live to countries that dont have a host broadcaster?
  3. Denmark Australia Poland Sweden That's my prediction.
  4. Denmark Pedersen Kildemand Sweden Jonsson Lindgren Poland Janowski Pawlicki Australia Holder Doyle Thanks for running this. Enjoyed it.
  5. If I remember correctly the wind was recorded at 45mph in Coventry that night. It must've been windy as Tatum was nearly knocked over by it. The first heat was 2-3 seconds slower than usual and the race times steadily got slower. When you get race times slower than what Dwyer and Knuckey get at NL level then you know you have a problem.
  6. USA Hancock Manzares Poland Janowski Pawlicki Russia Belousov Kudriashov GB Woffinden Harris
  7. Poor from the Laguta brothers. A two horse race now with USA a comfortable 3rd.
  8. I think it will be fairly tight with 3 teams challenging but it looks to me GB will fall a little short. Hopefully I'm wrong!
  9. Horton would have budgeted for the season and would expect decent cash flow coming in for a Poole match. That didn't happen. So more than likely we will be running at a loss for the season unless a big crowd we usually get for Poole turns up for another fixture (doubtful).
  10. Do we know who's likely to replace Hampel?
  11. Keep the same 4 riders for me. Might aswell give it a go.
  12. Any loss like that over a season is bad enough but for one meeting it's a disaster. If it is around that ball park figure then they will do well to get that back.
  13. I'm not going deny he has failed elsewhere he has. Also at Coventry he has done some ridiculous things too which wasn't necessary. I'm going to be very interested in what he has to say tonight.
  14. He wasnt allowed too! The forecast was terrible on the day, people would decided very early on not to go. Yes you'd get a slightly bigger crowd but not to the extend of covering the 8 quid reduction per admission. Would I have gone if I wasn't working? Maybe, but im one who usually goes regardless and there isn't many like us anymore. If they did something like Swindon did with Sky tickets then maybe people would've gone anyway as they've already paid. Even so it didn't show the sport in a great light did it and those newbies wouldn't have returned. The whole thing was a shambles any way you look at it.
  15. If it was cheaper prices it wouldve been more of a financial disater. Do you really think many more would have attended in that weather? Especially to recoup the loss per entrance fee? Poole usually draws good crowds but it had no chance with the forecast as it was. I'd get dropping prices for the likes of Lakeside that makes sense. Why pay for something when it was almost certain to be called off at heat 10. Who said it was 10,000, Horton was quoted as saying as tens of thousands. Be interesting to see what he says tonight regarding it all. Think its more of a threat to the BSPA than anything else though, they will be in a tough situation with only 7 EL clubs. The only issue I have with it is we are looking for a new stadium the whole situation probably doesnt help regarding investors and planning etc.
  16. If he has indeed lost thousands which suspect he has then I don't blame him. Who would want to throw money away at something you have no control over. Crowds have been decent enough this season but last week meeting will now likely mean we will be running at a big loss for the season. That cannot be right or good for the sport.
  17. The staff was under instruction from GoSpeed on the track prep. So yes the track staff worked on the track but was told how to do it.
  18. No he basically said that after the meeting. When you know it will get to 10 heats max then why should fans show up? I for one was not surprised by the low crowd given the shocking forecast for that evening. The fact that Horton was not allowed to protect his own business is just not right, Poole is usually Bees biggest crowd so it was a financial disaster.
  19. Mick doesn't say he will pull out, just the club will pull out of the EL. Don't blame him if he's losing money through no fault of anyone at the club.
  20. Mick Horton announces Bees may not be in EL next year after the farce of last week, losing thousands of pounds from the meeting. " Financially it was a huge loss for the club. It's not right".
