  1. The officials would be in a hell of a lot of trouble if Bees sent riders out in heat 10 and an accident occured due to conditions after promising an inspection. Havvy was absolutely right covering his, the promotion and his riders arses by not sending them out until a promised inspection took place.
  2. That's was the referees decision, Belle Vue probably wasn't allowed to call it off either.
  3. Redcar get let off using an illegal rider yet when the Bees manager was worried about rider safety he, 2 riders and the promotion are fined. What about an investigation into what happens for a sky meeting with a poor forecast? It cannot be right that a promotion doesn't have an option to call it off in the morning because it's on Sky, Wolves and Lakeside (?) did because they had the option the Bees didn't have the same option. Why can a promotion only call a meeting off 48 hours before the start of a meeting, it's just scandalous. Just to add the statement made no mention of the word safety. Was there an investigation over the meeting coordinator stating he will inspect the track after heat 9? Once that didn't happen whoever the manager was would have had every right not to send riders out. It's just basic health and safety, someone raises an issue you inspect it. If the inspection had happened then I'd agree Bees riders should have rode but it just did not happen. Safety wasn't the officials 1st priority when it should be everytime.
  4. All 4 back for me. You see it in virtually every heat in different gates riders coming across the line. If there are going to be exclusions for this the riders who don't make the gate can easily not try to avoid a collision but take it and then get another go with possibly an opponent less.
  5. There was small threat of light rain in the evening in Swindon while for the Cov meeting storms and high winds were forecast, plus rain during the day. It was never gonna go beyond 10 heats and maybe shouldn't have reached that. It's a bit different to the forecast and weather Swindon had yesterday!
  6. Coventry have been putting heat results out over their twitter feed during most home meetings and even some away ones which is good. They've also started tweeting a build up towards the meeting with photos and asked to share the meeting preview in Facebook. It's all basically free advertising that fans like ourselves can help with by just pressing a button. Some other clubs have already been doing things like this and others now catching up. Oh and Coventry let dogs in....
  7. It shouldn't have started as the promotion wanted to call it off the morning but wasn't allowed to. That's the issue. If it wasn't on Sky it would've been postponed, there shouldn't be different policies for tv and non tv meetings.
  8. Nick Morris missing is a big blow for Swindon especially for tonight. Usually does well round Leicester.
  9. Far too reserved! Always read his updates on the way home. Always worth reading 😂
  10. Possibly hear something tonight? Horton is usually interviewed during the meeting.
  11. Just updates for me tonight unfortunately, hope Silverbee is on form.
  12. We should get over 50 points. We are stronger all over and I can't see Karlsson getting 20 points like last time.
  13. Long as a rider doesn't touch the tapes they should let it go. You get far to many good starts punished.
  14. It shouldn't be about re running the meeting but about making sure a promoters right to call off a meeting on the day is protected. It's their money and the sports credibility on the line. As we all know absolutely nothing will come out of it.
  15. No it shouldn't. A promoter should always have a right to call off a meeting until a referee or official arrives who is then in charge. It's farcical that a promoter cannot postpone on the day because Sky are in town.
  16. Think Bomber issue this year is actually having too many engines to choose from. The GTR engines do look quick in the odd race I've seen him ride it but to be fair he would've been mad not to ride his UK bikes after his performance v Belle Vue and Wolves.
  17. For someone who was there I thought it was a decent GP. Plenty of passing and Tai ride from last to first was almost worth the admission money on its own. Only thing letting it down was the starting gates it was known after the test event but seemingly couldn't rectify. Decent crowd too I thought.
  18. After his form on Friday and Monday I've had Bomber each way, he was actually making gates on Monday. Also have Holder each way as he is also a former winner and seems to have improved his form for Poole.
  19. Probably because it was Poole as the away side. I don't think it's a coincidence that two matches that haven't had a reduction have been v Poole. Usually Coventry and Kings Lynn biggest crowds of the season? I can understand why they didn't. Any other side then I'm sure Coventry in particular a reduction would have happened. Coventry usually run a couple of cheaper matches a season.
  20. So if Ward does come in who can come in to replace Zengota/Howarth? Not sure the change would make you any stronger as Zengi and Kyle are dialled in at Swindon. Think Swindon might be better off with bringing in someone like Pawlicki and that will be a good solid 1-5. If Swindon do make the change as a Cov fan I'd be happy enough if we took on either of them.
  21. What Harris got to do with it? A bit of silly comment considering he got a paid maximum with some superb team riding on Monday and did a similar move to Lambert at Brandon on Friday.
  22. Did many people go in before 4 o clock anyway? Football grounds with sell out grounds usually only open 1 and a half hours before kickoff, the GP will have around 45,000 in at 75,000 seater stadium. It has the turnstiles and staff to cope I'm sure. Having said that I do think a 3.30 opening would be fair enough.
