  1. I didn't attend as I was at a funeral in the day but with the weather as it was at 6pm I wasn't at all surprised the crowd was low. As I said after the Cov v Poole debacle the crowd would still be low at £10 if the weather forecast was awful and om Sky, looks like i was right. Generally Cov get excellent crowds so not concerned about that.
  2. I did say earlier on in the thread we've been wrong before about guests but as i also said before on here i enjoy watching Fricke, he's a talent. Good effort to win in the end after heat 12 I was convinced we'd lose. If Poole didnt pick Cov id be shocked
  3. Have you not seen previous meetings v Swindon on a wet/heavy track. They usually hate it more than anyone. See last years semi final.
  4. Depends what website you look at. I use accuweather and they have occasional showers but doesn't seem it'll be anything significant. Much will depend how bad the track was after last night deluge. Edited to add the local weatherman tweeted he is expecting thunderstorms this afternoon....
  5. If Belle Vue dont get 4th now id be astonished. That changed at the start of the season. Its now just 3 points for a home win but an away side can still claim a point if defeated by less than 6
  6. Exactly how I see it plus Bees have Garrity back for this meeting and he is capable of beating Swindons top 5 occasionally.
  7. It'll be on. Whatever rain is due is apparently light and brief which could actually help preparation if that is the case. I'm at a funeral today so might not make this evening but hopeful of a big crowd. Prediction: 47-43, we are obviously stronger than the 1st meeting and Swindon are of course now without Darcy which now pushes Zengota up to heat leader so cant see him scoring as heavily.
  8. I can only assume they want to use Nicholls and Cook in the next week so picked Fricke for tomorrow otherwise doesn't make much sense. R/R would probably be stronger but it wouldn't be the first time we have been wrong and the guest does well. Doolan at Poole a good example.
  9. I like Fricke but its a big ask for him to step up. Nicholls to guest Friday instead maybe?
  10. Nicholls scored 2 in his last meeting at Brandon but then again Summers scored 1 in his previous meeting then look what he did the other week!
  11. Wouldn't mind Cook guesting just for the novelty value, think I've only ever seen him once at Brandon. In real terms i don't think there will be much difference between Cook, Nicholls and R/R.
  12. I was at the Ricoh last night it was chucking it down. I assume it was similar weather at Brandon. Absolutely correct decision.
  13. Bees have a much better side out for this than the previous meeting v Swindon now that practically all injuries have cleared up. Need to make a statement that we can win the playoffs by getting a victory here. Key is Garrity as always. Swindon full strength? Good move.
  14. They'll give this meeting every chance to go ahead with the backlog of fixtures. A dry afternoon is forecast and if it did go ahead it won't be pretty.
  15. If its a poor crowd today and then Wednesday will be a poor crowd too. Very few will pay £18 for a meeting on Sky, it should be £10 for all.
  16. Wolverhampton v Belle Vue Should be a comfortable win for the Bees tomorrow evening.
  17. Even I would like to see a Holder win tonight after what he has done for his best mate this week. It'll be tough for him to be 100% ready though
  18. Should be £10 for everybody especially with 3 meetings in a week and on Sky. I will now be watching on Sky, I cant make Mondays meeting.
  19. Don't the clubs have to give permission for riders to guest?
  20. Come on Neil, you must see how it looks like? It feels like the promotion have given up and in turn makes supporters feel like giving up this season too. If you make a change or 2 then the fans will feel upbeat again. I don't think fans are asking much. Just look at what it's done for Swindon. Fans just want to see a successful club and season.
  21. Yep I agree but it's although we know where one change is needed it's difficult to know who else can be replaced and with whom.
  22. And the previous meeting at Brandon he scored 1. It's what he does, some high scores but also woeful sometimes. Howarth was scoring highly at 2 last season too so imagine a 6.5 rider in that position?
  23. Answer to 1 is yes when we have 6.5 available to replace Robbo. Summers won't score much away at the likes of Poole or Kings Lynn Answer to 2. If they don't then they either have no ambition or are just blind.
