  1. Yep and they've added travel direction and public transport links from Leicester City Centre onto the website.
  2. Well the other PL matches won't matter will they. The semi final might be a concern although the riders involved might be in the other one.
  3. First meeting on BT is Belle Vue v Swindon May 14th going by Nigel Pearsons tweet.
  4. There is now a concession price for the 2018 season for OAPs and students at £10.
  5. At Coventry I believe riders bought them but they were reimbursed when they gave them back to the club.
  6. Brandon Estates have caused the rift, they are the reason we are in this position going into the 2018 season. Now about the team! Good to see Danny Phillips getting a championship place at Scunthorpe.
  7. The SCS group have said continually that if you want to go to Leicester then go as they don't see it will have an effect on what they are trying to do. Jeff expressed an opinion that he thinks the team at Leicester isnt Coventry Bees as we are at NL level, he hasn't said to fans don't go. I do differ from his opinion on this, Coventry Bees shouldnt be at NL level but unfortunately we are, a league doesn't define what a club is. I say again the fight is to Brandon Estates now.
  8. As Jeff Davies said on a Facebook post the fight is with Brandon Estates what's happened in the past is done and we can't change that. We are all passionate and sometimes go overboard but Brandon Estates wants this infighting. I myself am very guilty of this at times. Do what you want to do go to Leicester or not but the fight should really be against Brandon Estates.
  9. This is frustrating for me, whether we like It or not Horton is owner of Coventry Speedway and the group and Horton need to work together. Both Horton and the SCS say we need to look forward let's do that!
  10. To be fair to the BSPA they've done well to get a deal to 2020. Now they need to get product spot on, big opportunity.
  11. He was challenged at the NSSC when he personally asked to talk. He's been to forums where the other have been invited but theyve not shown up, Mick has. Why not show up if they've got nothing to hide? Look I'm not defending Mick as I think he should've handled it all a lot better and couldve possibly done more (the question about that at the top of the broadcast was from me). Others involved are seemingly getting away with it as they refuse to talk to fans, I find it bizarre. Who introduced Brandon Estates to Natwest? Why wasn't it an open sale so speedway and/or stox people could bid? What happened to the long lease announced in 2013? Was there even one? Why do Brandon Estates and Sandhu not get on? All of this has been in action before any of us knew it was even happening.
  12. Horton attended SCS meetings in the past and also spoke at the NSSC. It's a shame that others also involved in this sorry saga have totally hid from fans despite being invited to fans forums. Horton said during this evening he is more than willing to have a fans event along with SCS, Sandhu and BE. However i doubt you'll get the last two accepting.
  13. Coventry Bees and Coventry City need their own stadiums.... won't happen but would make some sense.
  14. Save Coventry Speedway: STATEMENT: BEES AT LEICESTER Whatever fans decide to do they are not the ones killing the club. I refer to the fantastic statement above from the group saying fans should feel free to do whatever they decide. Also says we should focus our questions and frustrations at John Downer and BE which I agree with. No one wants us to be in this situation. This is what BE want, fans to be split.
  15. Planning officers will be fully aware that Leicester is currently a one year deal ( temporary) and we have to run in the NL (bottom division). Planning officers will also be aware that fans want to return at Brandon (even those that do decide to go Leicester), over 100 tradespeople willing to get it back into condition shows that. Planning officers will also know that Brandon held speedway AND Stox, there is no substitute for a stadium that can hold both for miles. All this will no doubt be in the document that the group gave to Rugby Council and also from hundreds of fans that have emailed their objection. If Coventry Bees were to be no more it will be becasue of Brandon Estates. They are the ones who won't let us use the stadium, they are the ones who inadequately secured the site letting it get vandalised. They are the ones putting a planning application in for housing. They are the ones who haven't even bothered talking to SCS&S group. They are the ones who dont care about fans or local residents, they are the ones who dont care about the history of the stadium. It will be their fault.
  16. The points is BE are trying to saying it's not viable to pay to get the stadium in shape to run. Having these people say they will help out shows that what BE are saying is wrong.
  17. Absolutely! Over 100 trademen and women have put their names forward to help get the stadium back in working order. Fantastic response including replacing Windows, doors, armco, safety fence and air fence.
  18. Politics involving my football club meant i decided for a couple of years to not bother going, looking back I believe the only person it hurt was me. I was boycotting due to owners.
  19. Some feel that not going to Leicester can help Bees long term. Its tough for Bees fans and i think we all should respect whatever choices we all make. I know some Bees fans that are planning on going to some away matches. I'll be there on the 28th.
  20. Brandon Estates will spin any situation to try get houses on Brandon. The whole planning application and financial document shows that. That's been there tactic ever since they've bought the place.
  21. Number 3. We already had Coventry Bees to support and if Coventry Bees for whatever reason had to run at Brandon as an NL club then I think that would've been supported easily enough. Differing race nights/days didn't help the Storm either. Just been announced that 'home' meetings will now start at 3PM.
  22. To be honest I understand fans frustrations. It's 30 miles from Coventry, it's not the league fans are used to and fans don't trust anyone involved in the situation at Brandon. However for me the name Coventry Bees must try and live on, no matter what division no matter what situation. I feel it's very important further down the line that the name can run as long as possible. We have a huge opportunity here to have a constant place for peaceful protest about our situation, we should make the most of that as it would make the press and social media and continue to highlight the issue on a regular basis.
  23. Glad someone said this. I admire Bomber hugely (my son is called Harris) but although many fans have similar feeling towards Horton we have to remember the club Coventry Bees is far bigger than any individual.
  24. According to the article in the speedway star accounts suggest Coventry Speedway made profit in some seasons, remarkable I know!
