  1. They couldve just asked SCB if they could use his formula which used actual figures and facts......
  2. The answer is who knows! With the way the format is and the tier 1 draft rider being able to move up and the 1-5 to reserve is going to be a bit of a lottery. For my club id have said Garrity would be one but he would find himself as heat leader on occasion this season and Sarj on a 3 would to as he averaged nearly 5 in 2015, depends if he is actually tier one or tier 2 too how much of a jump his average would be.
  3. As I put on the Coventry 2016 thread Rugby council leader confirmed talk have indeed taken place. We were told we would get and update around Christmas hopefully they will. Wouldn't be surprised if the site was near Brandon or along the A46 at least. The track share was to be with Leicester if its needed.
  4. Jamie Halder takes the last remaining spot.
  5. Adam Roynon has a coaching/mentor role with the Storm although that is just team based.
  6. Doesn't say that is gone beyond that but its good to read that talks have actually taken place, I think we all had some doubts. Now lets hope we do actually hear something more concrete by Christmas.
  7. I cant see him being as poor as he was towards the end of the season. He should have the beating of most of the draft riders and will have stints in the top 5 in 2016.
  8. Leader of Rugby council has confirmed talks regarding a site for a new stadium for the Bees.
  9. Yeah looking forward to him mixing it with heat leaders, should make him a better rider.
  10. It's because i dont rate the Swindon team as highly as some even though I did say they will finish higher than us. Dont know how thats biased. Wright 6th tier one and Nielsen 4th in tier 2 last season suggests Swindon do have weak reserves compared to others. Poole, Leicester and Belle Vue have far superior draft pairings plus Wolves with Howarth his scoring power should give them an advantage over Swindons pairing.
  11. I was referring to Garrity if my post to Deanr1 wasn't clear.
  12. Just going by what he averages in the PL and compare with riders who have an EL average he'll be looking to get around a 6pt average.
  13. Has Starman hacked your account? How is it biased? Its not like I've said Coventry are going to win the league, I dont even think they'll finish above Swindon in fact im not sure we will finish above anyone. Ive even said you may squeeze into the playoffs!
  14. I meant that he wouldn't have got offers, of course he would have! There is no way no one would offer him a deal for 2016 throughout Europe and the UK.
  15. Morris as 2nd heatleader along with North/Josh G as 3rd heatleader it look quite weak. Swindon will do well at 2nd string, Sedgeman will do ok but even then i think there are a few more stronger 5th average riders around (Mads, Masters, Garrity, Kurtz). I think Swindon have one of the weaker draft pairings too. Might squeeze into 4th but Poole and Belle Vue are so far ahead of the rest
  16. You have to love the spin that comes out of Poole sometimes. So North was going to stay in Australia if he didnt get offers? That was never going to happen was it?
  17. Leicester would have priority on Barker as he's an asset if an EL club.
  18. Apart from Poole and Belle Vue all the sides look pants. Dont know why people are rating Swindon so highly and King Lynn will need a top signing at number 1 for them to look good too. I agree our side looks pants too!
  19. No. Just that independent representation to be on the committee. Anybody who has never been involved in the sport. Your last sentence is probably true but shows what the sport has become due to self interest and poor management/planning.
  20. Yes the clubs get a vote but they vote what the board presents them! PL board has independent members as well as 3 or 4 club owners. No one can tell me that someone with a bit of intelligence can not assume the position as an independent head of the BSPA along with some others. Other sports do it easily enough, by all means have 2-3 promoters on the board but it needs independent people to make it credible.
  21. Last couple of visits to Coventry he's been garbage but was excellent before that round there.
  22. Riders are available but for us it was severely limited when we signed Danny King as a d/u rider. We had pretty much no option but to go abroad and even then riders would wait for a Swedish and Polish spot before committing to Britain.
  23. Rubbish! Someone else should be running the sport. You don't get the Man City's owner being chairman of the FA. The system British Speedway has is geared up for self interest and not for the best of the sport.
