It would be brilliant if Russia did name a full side to compete.

The greyhounds shut down regularly, they did this time last year too. We need some firm news from the owners. To be honest I wouldnt be surprised if we were at Brandon next season but as I said above we need some news asap. The only positive so far is that Rugby Council have confirmed talks have taken place for a new site.

A few Polish people I work with are speedway fans but don't attend regularly at Brandon. A couple have said they may attend a bit more with 2 poles in the side but they find it expensive compared to Poland.

Josh Bates misses a few meetings early season, not looked further ahead. Surely we could ride at Swindon and Kings Lynn when Sheffield dont have a home meeting.

I don't know how its Coventry's fault as it seems obvious Leicester are being difficult and want to keep to Saturday night. For me IF Leicester did want to change to Friday id say let them as Coventry have probably one season left anyway. You can see why Leicester are insisting on Saturdays, it'll make the other sides weaker so would give a poor Leicester side a bit more of a chance.

Exactly. Clubs could put a highlights package on you tube a day or two after a meeting, its pretty much free advertising. Its ridiculous that it isn't happening.

Blame the BSPA for not adapting, how many years has the GP series been running? Why is there only talk now of set race nights, it shouldve happened years ago!

You should've seen him at Brandon last year. In his rides im not sure he completed a full lap combined!

I pay £18 to watch CCFC and Wasps at the Ricoh Arena, £18 at Brandon would seem steep to a general sports fan compared to that.

With some on the heatleader list averaging under and just over 6 it wont take much for them to drop a little more and some reserves averaging over 6 after 4 meetings. Garrity and Newman averaged over 7 at reserve last season I believe.

Horton has a plan! Suggested this would be the case a couple of months back regarding the heatleader list and the Woryna signing.

Larsen may be involved in the SGP and SEC qualifiers? Would almost certainly miss a few home meetings if that's the case. Having said that id still sign him if there was any chance.

Larsen should've been a priority for Coventry too, I get the feeling he isn't keen on a full British season.

Maybe Sweden? In Britain he'd be classed as one if he had rode here recently. I just scan results from abroad and always seems to score well in Poland and Sweden. No surprise he is doing well but those names show how well he actually did last season. Just checked he was number one at the end of the season.

I think Larsen should be considered a number 1, he's a much better rider than he was when he was last riding here. King's Lynn will have a decent side if they sign him.

There is a real possibility that someone like Danny King can drop into a reserve role after a few matches using this system. You cant tell me that he wouldnt clean up and score double figures, the points and wage compared to him and Bates would be huge. You could say the same with Lindgren even in a 2nd string role. Surely if they were saving money they'd keep the draft rider in the reserve positions? The previous format would stop this and make it more difficult for draft rider to move up, top 5 to move down and if one did move down would have a much more difficult set of heats than is the case now. Some draft riders will average 7+ while at reserve and we've seen heatleaders average 5 with this format. It will happen.
