  1. Wonder if Coventry were asked in the last two years? Finished 2nd last year but Belle Vue get the spot and Coventry were finalists in 2014 but Kings Lynn got the spot finishing 2nd. Why doesn't Poole want to do it? They were one of the ones that originally pushed this.
  2. One for the Bees promotion, was we asked to compete in the World Speedway League event in Berlin? The reason I ask is we were losing finalists in 2014 and Kings Lynn got the spot for finishing 2nd yet in 2015 we finished 2nd but Belle Vue got the spot? Wasn't this pushed forward by Matt Ford and now doesn't even want to compete in it?
  3. Its on the Swindon website, dont why there is bickering. Its quite obvious that after his dads 2nd injury Dakota decided to stay behind.
  4. Norths Dad went back to work after his accident had a fall and did himself quite a bit of damage. Thats when North decided to stay behind.
  5. Shouldn't be a problem as there will be 2 nights. Leicester will obviously get the choice.
  6. Horton seems to have the impression of getting a track down and put a temporary stand or two up while they work on other areas of the stadium. Me personally id rather they take there time and get it right and if that means going to Leicester for half or a full season then so be it.
  7. According to the Telegraph Investin Brandon Limited are the company. Sandhu isnt listed in that company, never has been and none of his family either.
  8. Yes the new stadium is being funded by him it seems. We only learned yesterday he did in fact sold the stadium in 2014 with a promise that Bees and Stox can run at Brandon until 2016. Now it seems fairly certain the new owners/developers want us out by November so they are now pressing ahead with the new site. I'm sure they've known the site for a while as it seems plans have been drawn up, next for them is to announce where exactly it is and show us the plans. As we know there is a long way to go but at least it seems there is a will to get a stadium built.
  9. Sandhu no longer has anything to do with the stadium, he sold it in 2014. One condition of the sale was for the stadium to continue until November 2016. All sports are getting kicked out then by the new owners/developers. The rail issue was down to London Midland saying they didnt have the carriages but now all of a sudden they've found some now Wasps have stumped up cash to help run a Matchday service. The new site it seems cant have houses built on it. The last point about a Somerset type stadium, it could be but doubt it. They want a stadium that can hold crowds for the big stock car meetings and Heaver has already spoken about needing better facilities for sponsorship and regular fans. It won't be a Belle Vue thats for sure! Would be interested to know how much Sandhu sold Brandon for.
  10. Just had a look but cant find it. I must be wrong!
  11. Some of the Thurs/Fri PL clubs could possibly be enticed to move up? Somerset, Edinburgh, Sheffield and Ipswich? I just don't see how moving 6 out of the 8 clubs race night will work. Thats a big risk to take and I would doubt many EL clubs would want to be in the EL if it was Monday and Wednesday.
  12. Surely its obvious to Rugby Council that Speedway and Stox cant use Brandon next year so local need must be there. I believe houses at Brandon is included in Rugbys local plan. If the developers put in a planning application for Brandon that'll probably help the case for a new stadium.
  13. Heaver and I think Sandhu too have a contract to run Stock Cars so its in their interests to have a stadium. Its a money spinner for them.
  14. Jeremy Heaver confirmed Sandhu sold the site and has no say regarding Brandon. Part of the sale agreement was the stadium to be in use until the end of 2016.
  15. If Sandhu finances the new stadium on his own then fair play.
  16. The question I have is how will it be financed. Sandhu? Cov and Rugby Council? private investor?
  17. Telegraph reveals a bit more. The land is owned by Coventry City Council but its under Rugby Council jurisdiction and they understand the land is between Binley Woods and Tollbar island. Horton also thinks that if the deal is done within 6 months they can get a track down and have temporary stand(s)so we can race in Coventry next season. Im assuming thats while the build other parts of the stadium which might not be possible to do?
  18. Just listened to it and Jeremy Heaver sounds quite positive. Only 6 houses within a mile of the site and wants it eco friendly, solar panels, reuse water LED lights etc. He wants us fans to soon write to Rugby Council to show that it's wanted by both Coventry and Rugby locals. Both councils have both been involved. Plans have also already been drawn up.
  19. Cheers for that i will have a listen to it later.
  20. Its in the comments about the group talking to Rugby Council about the local plan. Sorry its on the Coventry Speedway facebook page not the Save Cov Speedway one.
  21. You cannot be serious! Pre booking tickets should be a given at every club but only a select few do it including Belle Vue. Belle Vue is now a training centre is Poole? Belle Vue has an NL side has Poole? Belle Vue have a brand new modern stadium has Poole? Has anyone? Belle Vue will get revenue daily, Poole rent their stadium. Belle Vue are now the benchmark to what can be achieved. Its not just about trophies you know.
  22. A post on the Save Cov Speedway facebook group suggests we could hear something this week. Good or bad who knows.
  23. Maybe the chairman will announce this during his Q&A on twitter this afternoon..... or maybe not.
  24. Jealousy that there is a more professional outfit than Poole now.
