Interesting then in the discussion about the price of sport. This seems as you say an extremely cheap sport to watch, yet still doesn't have packed stadia!! You might expect some walk in,walk out custom over the length of a meeting, so people might come for a couple of hours. Even I was thinking of going to my local Horse + Trap race track because it is mainly a betting sport and very cheap to get in, but haven't made it so far......

Aren't some also continental style sports clubs? So it is not only speedway that runs, but they have other sports within the club as well ? And like you say, supported by local government

Don’t they also run junior meetings etc ? Like the Danish tracks, they might only run 7 or so top league meetings, but at least the same minor league meetings. Plus practice sessions etc. The tracks get a lot of use

No.You brought it up moaning how a sporting event had negative effects on business etc, but can’t see how others might see our sport in a negative light or even football. Trouble is when you start moaning about how one thing negatively effects you then it is hard to stop. That is the world we live in
