Do collectors want pristine programmes or a few autographs as well ? I often see on tv that only perfect examples are worth much. But obviously that isn't speedway and speedway is something different to the rest of the world

Err, Olympics.......probably more people attend one day of the Olympics than attend a season of speedway? No idea really, but given all the various events. Plus more people watch the Olympics on tv in one day than watch a decade of speedway on tv,at a guess

As o said it was a rumour before the SON started. But there has been a Team Europe in the FIM world ice speedway team final. There has also been one or two strange teams in FIM U21 or UEM U21 or U19 quails. No, but they could be put in qualifiers. It was even talked about before the SON started about making up a team so the likes of Vakulic could compete. Plus there are so many previous examples in FIM events of made up Team Europe etc competing

No chance. Plus what I heard was that even the athletes could continue competing in the Olympics etc, just not as a Russian team. So even if it really really did under the most unbelievable of circumstance affect speedway, all it would mean is Emil etc would compete as Rest of the World riders.

You can’t rely on the slogan ‘use it or lose it’ to help your club. Just look at how many fans have walked away or hardly go and how many clubs have closed because they couldn’t attract enough through the gate. You need more than a campaign of trying to make people feel guilty in order to survive. Quite frankly a lot of clubs don’t have anything other than that though

I don’t think so. Vojens is Vojens in the UK. I think the place is only called Woyens in Germany. Same as Haderslev is Hadersleben in Germany. As it is next year is the 100 anniversary of the border and some of the Danish towns are asking for dual Danish/German town signs

Tbh, they don't seem to have had great success with their Rally X efforts . The series went from 13 rounds to just 10 last year. Possible 11 next year but the contract is yet to be signed etc

Well the one thing mentioned was making it available on Eurosport rather than pay tv. Remains to be seen really whether they can put new life into the series and bring new venues and new sponsors in.
