Doesn't just matter about a couple of tracks. As i said previously you need a couple of countries. Poland is never going to support this sort of thing without their own country racing. You get a crowd like a junior meeting. And basically add the fact that there would be a fair few journalists from around the world boosting the pathetic crowd there was If the first couple of meetings were held in Germany or Latvia you'd be sure of a few 1000 at least. Fans would be glad to see some of the top riders -

Bit disrespectful of the Finnish manager to pronounce his riders names properly, rather than the mangled Tatum pronounciations -

They would have got a much better crowd by hosting last nights meeting over the border in Germany for instance. Hardly a big deal for logistics etc. Tonights meeting in Denmark , then move to Poland for the last two meetings. 4 meetings in a week in one country is never going to work for crowds or the track -

Absolutely. Format is the problem. FIM are the problem Surely the tv companies and sponsors can't be happy with this ? Fans obviously aren't happy. Someone travels half way round the world and prefers to sit in the hotel -

Rubbish racing and terrible crowd. Shows exactly what health speedway is in -
Seems the German motorsport association have had a study done and found up to 80% of CO2 is caused by the fans. So speedway having very few fans are emmiting far less CO2 than other motorsports. Which is nice https://www.dmsb.de/de/ueber-uns/leitbild-und-werte/nachhaltigkeit/file/288080

They could, but seeing as they are after causing chaos and even more, publicity, it doesn't seem likely that it is high on the agenda

Medications prescribed by a doctor or bought directly over the counter may contain prohibited substances. It is an athlete’s responsibility to check their medication before using it even if they have used it before. It is also important to note that medications bought abroad may contain different substances to those bought in the UK. Key Points to Remember A user can refer to the FAQ section within Global DRO to make sure they understand the search results correctly. Annual changes to the Prohibited List come into effect each year on 1 January. Therefore, it is important for an athlete to re-check the status of any medications they continue to use at the start of each year on Global DRO. If the medication is prohibited, athletes should use our TUE Wizard to find out if they need a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) and how to apply. Unsure what a TUE is? Visit the Medicine and TUE Hub. If an athlete is unable to find the medication they are looking for, they should contact UKAD with the medication name and list of active ingredients via email to substance@ukad.org.uk. https://www.ukad.org.uk/checking-medications

I seem to remember Ivan associated with Ricard. Also Egon Müller with Eco and Barum

I always remember Barry Sheene and Suzuki. It seems he went to Suzuki just around the time of Barrow and Peter Shilton's personalised top. But motorsport were one of the front runners in sponsorship. But jut after the German Worms example One of the first sponsorships in the history of Formula 1 most likely dates back to 1968 when, during the South African Grand Prix, a team Brabham’s private race car driven by John Love took to the track in the colors of the Gunston cigarette brand. Always remember the JPS special driven by Ronnie Peterson. Which seems to be 1974

By coincidence or maybe not, on the net, just stumbled across Shiltons top for the 1973 season. Different from the rest of the team !! https://www.lcfc.com/news/2287503/links-with-the-past-shiltons-white-goalkeepers-shirt?lang=EN

I think it might have been the Paul Breitner story, where i saw the piece about the sponsorship. Braunschweig had this sponsorship and signed Breitner from Real Madrid when he was at or approaching the peak of his career. Although an extremely talented player, he was outspoken and hard to get on with. The other players seemed to take exception to him and in the end he found they hardly even passed the ball to him. He left after the one season Later on he was announced as German team manager, but people at the German association protested, and a day later the job was taken off of him From what i saw on the programme though he is a very charitable person who does a lot for homeless people

Quite interesting. Barrow must be one of the front runners in sponsored sporting teams. Just a few months ago saw a programme on sponsorship in German football 1967 was the first time a team wore a sponsors name on their shirts. But in a low league and it took a few years and lots of arguing before Braunschweig wore the jägermeister logo on their shirts. Also 1972 i think Wormatia Worms with 'Cat' short for Caterpillar

They have had about 25 winters and not even fixed one.......but who knows, maybe the appointment of some bloke last winter might keep that Eternal hope spring flowing ?

Personally i thought they passed through turmoil about a decade ago and after speeding through crisis have put the foot down to get to oblivion before the 2030 deadline

These ideas always look good, but lack standing in reality If Pardu don't want a GP, then they don't want it Not too sure about the current situation at Wittstock, but don't think it is that good. As i said many years back there is a problem with the Promoter. Unstability i think it is safe to say. Reports of him physically attacking riders. And of course he seemed to have a bust up not only with the German authorities, but the polish also. I doubt he is someone who could work peacefully with the FIM for long The main problem is it isn't down to us fans to accept any of that. It is down to those who run the show to accept those proposals..........not as easy as it was to write all that out, i think -
More on the Milne's and their contemporaries. Also interesting what happened to some after their racing career https://magazine.cycleworld.com/article/1969/1/1/when-americas-milne-brothers-beat-the-worlds-best

Not sure if this is the first 'speedway'. But maybe the first link between motorbike racing and a speedway. 1904 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_Fairgrounds_Speedway
