    Name the rider

Click on the pic and it takes you to the comments. Easy My good deed done for the day, nice and early The thing is, if you knew who it was why didn't you help out on the thread you copied the pic from ? Strange indeed
  2. Causing some discussion here as to why football can start up, but not schools or restaurants....

    Name the rider

Wasn't he team mates with a couple of your pals, Al Sparrey and Jim Chalkley ? Surprised you don't remember him

    Mighty Mick!

Well it seems he accused andout of holding a grudge from a while back(years) on a Canadian speedway thread, before he hid the post, then the whole thread about his Dons group.
  5. I have no idea what the other group was called. But it was formed by some guy who goes around dressed like a walking Wimbledon mascot and calls himself womble. Think I saw him in a photo at the Celebration of Speedway event. No idea why you upset him and others. It really is a mystery and surprise that someone with your service at the SLP could ever upset anyone
  6. I didn't call your group 'the breakaway'. I was referring to the people who were fed up with you and formed a group you were also blocked from. It seems there were two Wimbledon groups that didn't want you........I didn't even know about your group until a day or so ago.....
  7. Well it doesn’t make sense if people are miffed at your antics, to then ask you to start up a group so they can get away from you. Does it ? Unless they were trying to get rid of you sneakily....
  8. Not sure what the point of going through it all is. But the fact is your antics meant people were p'd off with you and set up another Wimbledon group. So the people who were shocked must have missed all of that. Not sure if that group still exists, but I guess seeing as you are blocked from the original there is no real need for the breakaway any more.....
  9. And ? No doubt he was one of the top riders, so shouldn't have had problems getting through in the top 16. That is a totally different thing to winning on his home track......apples and pears
  10. Thought the thread was started because you wanted to know their names ? As a mod on a Dons group you now have the info you wanted, I think .
  11. Sure a few know who is meant. If you know the Dons teams of the day, then you would know......
  12. Bundesliga given the go-ahead, but behind closed doors. Speedway practice can also start, but I think only for club members and nobody else allowed as spectators....
  13. A piece linked to on that thread and I quote A champion of no mean repute, a veteran of many races abroad and now at home in Portland, Oregon, is Ray Tauser. Ray started his career in the Pacific Northwest. Hearing of the activities of other American riders who were abroad he went to England in January, 1929. In one of his early appearances he broke the track record at Wembley Stadium. To establish a name for himself Ray had to beat such famous riders as Vic Huxley, Frank Arthur, Ron Johnson, Sig Schlam, Roger Frogley, Jack Barker, Collin Watson and Jim Kempster. On one or two occasions early in his career Ray raced against “Sprouts” Elder

But there was a shorter version Plus a slightly longer, middling version And we also had a nice chat about the New Zealand Hall of fame
  15. An interesting piece, that might help http://www.speedwayplus.com/
  16. Bet it's on that new small speedway group you started, eh ?

    Name the rider

Indeed. Here is the article that has appeared on here already that the photo has been half inched from. You can see the Stamp bottom right https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/too-much-speed-on-speedway/ and the thread
  18. Bit late on this, but Max didn't join the 'Aces of Manchester in 1930'...he joined Manchester White City. He joined the Aces a year later
  19. Guess they have to say he is innocent until proven guilty. But how does it work if he is found guilty with his points? Can't remember, but didn't they want someone elses points deducted? Dudek maybe. Can't remember how that worked out....
  20. Phil is hopeful they can get the hospital out, a track laid and a meeting done, before they even notice
  21. Sorry you didn’t like my post, but it actually showed he was still doing grass track up until a year or so ago. Never mind....
  22. Hamburg seem to have given the green light to individual sport like cycling , horse jumping/ racing or tennis as long as the distance is kept. Team sports still not allowed and no mention of spectators Bit of trouble with the football. Hertha player Kalou live-streamed a video in the changing rooms of the players shaking hands and not keeping to the strict rules laid out. Just as the Bundesliga are hoping to get the go ahead to start...,. Suspended !!
  23. Even without you ? How?
  24. That's right. I was only pulling John's leg anyway. I knew what he was referring to. But you are right and I don't think it was free either. Also see the Guardian has changed it's name to Wimbledon Times now
  25. The benchmark of 'prestige' is if the Wimbledon Guardian does a report !!! Hold yer head in shame Chunky
