  1. Don't you think at least another polish rider, seeing as it is going to be 100% in Poland ?
  2. Didn't some of the Wimbledon riders and possibly others also ride for Shelbourne in Dublin ?
  3. Yes that works. Great. I’ll have a gander
  4. Only thing I remember is I think he looked like one of the Bee Gee’s
  5. Probably, but first came to my attention going on about scb.......and was thinking of posting something along those lines the past few days jokingly But as you say, Bila Hora was found out fairly quickly as Subedei and Speedibee/Adonis was as well
  6. Someone who is always right and obsessed with stats......hmmm, who might that be?
  7. Thought there were a few French League meetings, before it all went quiet
  8. Doesn't really. All I get is a photo of I guess him and his wife in a sidecar (liked by terry Mussett, I see), another photo of a rider in a Dons body colour and then the date he was born. Not really that interesting, but thought I would post, as either you have done something wrong or there isn't much there, or it is just for friends to look at, and as such, they will have looked, I guess
  9. I think I met him once on the London tube. At least some guy said he was him, and I wouldn’t have a clue. But not the sort of person someone goes around imitating
  10. Yes, I was thinking Terry Mussett. Apparently his career is shrouded in mystery, but I see he did ride for a couple of teams other than Wimbledon
  11. Miny Waln, Benny Kaufman, and Alfred Rumrich and Pee Wee Cullum
  12. Ronnie supposedly rode a couple of meetings for Coventry, although I really don’t remember it
  13. Think we have done this one before Steve. Internationally from memory was it Swist in Poland ? Matten Kröger was over 25 years i think with Brokstedt
  14. Something I did find interesting, was a get together of motorcycle racers in Caifornia in 1963. The Milne brothers attended and it stated flowers were sent to a very ill Lammy(who sadly died not long after). But it was said that some film was shown of flat track, plus night speedway and of the Milne's and the world final where the US took all the podium spots. Being in California I would have thought there would be a good bit of footage of speedway, but nothing seems to be online
  15. Home of Sprouts Elder. But when I looked on wiki for the famous sons and daughters of Fresno, his name wasn't amongst them
  16. Great stuff . I did a few days ago come across a speedway meeting in Fresno in the 80s. But it was in Selland Arena on ice
  17. You've let yourself down badly over the past week Sid. I said to Steve Roberts I thought you should stay, after the last problem, but you just don't let things go. Enough from me Sid. You can stay or go, but I am not getting into another debate with you
  18. I was being polite. Not sure why you bring this back up after days have gone by. If you want a barney, I think Norbold started a thread just for us
  19. We've moved on, why can't you ? Just let us get on with the topic. If you have nothing to contribute, go to another
  20. One FIM meeting for junior riders in August in Germany was also cancelled yesterday Going to be neigh on impossible to get a proper season done. So much for Mr Rising talking about May, June, July or August
  21. No apology needed. I do also have one. San Diego won 41-Loyola 28 and Long Beach 5 pts from October 1933
  22. Although I also have a preview from 29 September 1933 San Diego Loyola Lions v Long Beach Pirates San Diego team Miny Waln, Mark Porter (C), Byrd McKinney, Rusty Roberts Mark being a San Diego boy was a unanimous choice as captain The Pirates have won 3 in a row v Loyola at home and hope to make it 4 I guess this might be a US style that the home team is listed last ?
  23. Not sure. Just a note I made. Just have the date October 1933. And you are right with Mark Porter, my dodgy writing I know in 1934 Emeryville entered as well as the Red Devils and Sam Arena was riding for them. Also have a recollection that one team entered whilst the league was already underway around that time
  24. One thing I found a while back are the teams for season 1933 Loyola Milne brothers, Lammy and Burton Albrecht Long Beach Bo Lisman, Earl Farrand, Shorty Campbell,George Lannon San Diego Mark Porter, Kenny Schofield, Miny Waln, Byrd McKinney If that remained constant, then as they say, i'll eat my hat if Loyola didn't win
  25. What about the Luckhurst brothers when they rode for Edinburgh ? Were they based in Kent ?
