  1. agreed (within reason!) between the two promotions in those days that neither would worry too much about what one said about the other - afterall it was all about pre-match build up. Sadly, in modern times thanks to the "football mentality" of some, I doubt you could do it. I remember Cyril Maidment getting worked up on a number of occasions by something in the Hackney programme. Not sure if he was a football fan though
  2. Don't even think he is the most naturally talented Polish rider
  3. Thing was,you edited it.So what was it like at first?
  4. Yes, mate, it will...... However, the dates I was given for next year were : Sept 23 - Junior Golden Helmet (1900 hours) Sept 24 - World Under 21 Team Cup Final (1230 hours) Sept 25 - Golden Helmet (1230 hours) Sept 26 - Tomicek Memorial (1900 hours) However, now that the 2005 GP dates have been announced, it seems like the Golden Helmet weekend will be put back a week...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dates here? Czech dates
  5. No chance http://sport.onet.pl/1020839,0,0,wia,998114,dyscyplina.html
  6. A couple of photo's in Briggo's World of Speedway, from these events. One is captioned as a 650cc Yamaha with the 70t number plate
  7. I reckon when the BSI site gets up to date it will probably read as announced in Poland. With only the G.P on the 10th to be confirmed Just hope its somewhere near Hamburg
  8. well according to the dates mentioned in Poland there is no G.P on 9th july .The last G.P is 24th september in Poland,Probably Bydgoszcz, but at the mo has a question mark against it.But the so does Krsko for Slowenia
  9. On Polish T.V,G.P line up as follows Poland(Wroklaw?) Sweden Slowenia Cardiff Danmark Czech Sweden Holland or Germany Poland(Bydgoszcz?)
  10. Think it has now been confirmed England and Sweden host semi's,Poland hosts Race-off and Final Fixtures

Come on Jim Boy keep up,been there done it Jim Boy
  12. Try to help someone out and they don't even have the decency to pretend they ain't heard Jeffster,as your a bit up on things Czech, have a butchers here,as apart from Vandirek the Czechs mean nothing to me?Any good Stralsund
  13. Results from Diedenbergen as Lubos was riding thought you might ask Jeffster
  14. Can add Mirko to the list And Matej Ferjan is Hungarian Champ
  15. Can't see Mark Loram being included next year, which is a pity to some extent as he was probably worth more than the points he got.But in the GP's he has been overtaken by the youngsters now.Give the ones with a hunger to reach the top a chance.
  16. Thought it has been changed and the Semi's are in Denmark and England with only the Final in Poland. Not all in one country this time
  17. If the points are added up through the meeting as in the Long Track final, you are going to get riding for a safe second (or even third) in the actual final if it's enough to take the GP title. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is only true if the points are awarded like this season. If the points you score are your GP points then even if you have won the meeting you still have the chance to extend your lead or catch up on your rivals by winning the final heat.If you go into the final knowing you already have 25 points no matter what then nothing is gained from winning.
  18. Must try that internet feed, was it any good? All i want for xmas is a Dukla Prague away kit
  19. Agree with you both.To the casual viewer the winner must win the final.Just if the points scored are the GP points then the German system fits.As i said i don't have Sky and don't have an awful lot of interest in the GP's.Might go to Denmark next year though
  20. The highest scorer wins the meeting ,he's necesarillynot the rider who wins the final race. That is how it worked here. But like SS said every point throughout the meeting counts. Not just one or two heats Here is a link to the meeting results to see how it worked.Like i say ,don't know if this is the format but from what SS said it sounds like it.You can see at Brokstedt for instance a rider fell and another had an e.f in the semi but still went forward to the final.Junior DM format
