  5. Looking on one of the German sites it has the line up for Abensberg as England,Germany,Sweden,USA i guess its an error.anyone know for defo its wrong, even pressuming that England is wrong and it is Britain
  6. You are all forgetting Uncle Lens idea the Champions Chase Knockout.Rather like a forerunner of the GPs.32 rider lineup won by Banger Jansson the first year,1973
  7. Admission is no problem, normally 10 euros, its the train thats going to cost 80 euros. To get a cheaper ticket i need to wait around for a few hours, change 3 times and get home with enough time for about 3 hours sleep before i get up for work
  8. Was rumoured that we were going to get some Ice Speedway here in Hamburg. Were trials done last winter.Just seen that the Freezers Ice Hockey Team(crowds av 12,000) are looking at the possibility of playing one match in the AOL Arena.Apparently Edmonton played a match vs Montreal in an outdoor stadium and got a crowd of 56,000.Maybe in conjunction with an Ice speedway meeting the costs could be shared
  9. Thanks Jeffster Hope the weather holds out.Hope i can make it,as my daughter locked us out, cost 60 odd quid for the locksmith and that was the money i was gonna spend on Stralsund

  15. Can't pretend i know Walthamstow well. But my mum had a couple of uncles who lived there and she was born there. So we did make regular visits when i was young. As they lived in adjoining streets that was all i ever saw of the place
  16. Reckon it's the "fly" syndrome.Hackney fans forget they have already had a look and go"oh,that looks interesting ".
  17. Always wondered who bought them Not quite as bad as the face mask for fans that was advertised though.Never saw anyone with one of those
  18. Ronnie was truely an amazing talent and even after more than 20 years what was his average(something like 10 point).Says something about him that C.O at Coventry was trying desperatly to sign him in '74(?). Briggo as well, not really much needed to be said about his speedway talent but he was a media mans dream. There was always a story to be had from Briggo,he knew how important the media was and he was willing do put the work in.Someone like that is what the sport desperatly needs
  19. More info on places available for each country here
  20. Good to see speedway is still going in NZ.Thought it was all but gone.Remember seeing Ronnie,Briggo,Graeme Stapleton and Larry Ross riding for the Dons Hope all goes well.Thanx for the link Cablehogue, will look in to keep up to date with developments
