  1. I'd say defo no to Anders from the examples i have.He just wrote Anders, and it finished with a definite "s" end and didn't tail off.Thing is i'm sure iv'e seen this one before...
  2. here is one from John Davis from that period Was going to say John Louis or Chris Pusey, but having a look at their sigs probably not.can't find one of Alan Molyneux
  3. Thats funny.Bila Hora always went in November. You should team up with him for a bit of company
  4. Is that slang for something I'll try anything once
  5. Just to warn you.I'm an old man and desperate too
  6. Yeah.Never been to Copenhagen before though,so you would have to tell me where and give directions
  7. Should be there for about 4 days, maybe more
  8. Also if anyone is there for the weekend, there are two 80cc test matches between Denmark and Sweden. One on the 25th at Amager(12:00),the other before the Slangerup v Holsted match on sunday(10:00)

Yes,i was listening on Radio Oxford,so can't say how it looked, but it was unreal to hear he made the start a few times and was overtaken.Anyway, thinking about it,if it was possible with a time-machine.A match race series with Gollob,Collins ,Craven and Morton...with the first race on 50's era bikes, then 70's and then todays bikes.Would be worth a few quid of anyones money

On his current bike he would be lapped
  11. Was 6,000 quid all that was paid out to the riders?I bet even a tribute band get somewhere near that alone
  12. Results from round 2 of the Eastern group here and current table
  13. Tickets sold, don't always correlate with the final attendance. Is a bit funny though that figures for other finals have been stated as higher but 38,000 is now being reported as a record

Just read that a few riders(S.Katt,M.Kröger...) had a trial at the trotting track here in Hamburg. If they go ahead with plans to hold a meeting the track length is 1300m
  15. Saw that on Speedway.org.Any idea why that was,if the meeting was abandoned after 15
  16. No probs Steve.I was wondering the same myself.I asked for details of the Swedish guys, but got no reply on another thread.I only know the majority were in the 2 tests last year when GB got thrashed in Sweden and a few have qualified from the Nordic U19's.It's always a bit of a problem trying to work out how good riders are if you don't know much about them.Last year another forumer saw a meeting here in Germany and we were both impressed with a guy.Only later did i find out that he was about 4 years older than the rest and when he was riding against his own age group he didn't look half as impressive. The other week i saw a 2nd Division 80cc match at Holsted. There were anumber of good riders there. When i looked at the 80cc ratings, they were around the number 50 or lower in Denmark As it is though, with the current riders both teams have, they only have to get one good rider every 2 or 3 years coming through and the Danish/Swedish side remains too strong for most.If we say Risager is the one in the 17-19 age, then they need one rider in the 14-16 range.Like i say Hougaard has looked good when i have seen him,but the opposition in the German meeting was average. They also have a few younger such as Barrett,Raun,Teglers. It would be good to get them over for a couple of meetings against the young Brits.
  17. Puszakowski getting a fine points total this week
  18. Result from todays meeting in Holstebro taken from www.speedwaynet.dk Sweden 50 E.Andersson 13+1 R.Kling 6+1 S.Bengtsson 2 R.Pettersson 11+1 R.Törnqvist 6+2 S.Aldén 10 V.Bergström 2 Denmark 46 L.Madsen 10+1 J.Graversen 10 H.Moller 9+1 P.Hougaard 8+2 K.Jakobsen 4 C.Wortmann 3+1 S.Andersen 2

I only went the once, but was lucky enough to see PC,Mort and Smudger all get a max or paid max,as they thrashed King's Lynn.Great place
  20. Be fair,i think a number are just 16.Patrick Hougaard has impressed the couple of times i've seen him this year and he has only just had his 16th birthday.Bit early to write him off. Also may i add that A.Messing missed the meeting because he was stranded in England. So? Anyway the conditions made it hard to tell one way or the other.Just who was the better gater. Edit:A quick bit of research finds that at least Jakobsen Hougaard Klindt Madsen Andersen(i think) don't know about Kristiansen are all 16 years old so fall outside the 17-19 range. Have no idea about the swedish riders.
  21. Power failure and heavy rain stopped it.Or was it a power failure because of the rain.
  22. Looks to me like it has been there a long time. It's all part of a motorsports complex. The first place i went to was a MotoX track.Luckily i found the speedway track next so didn't have to explore any further And would you believe it,it was free to get in.Was expecting something like 500 people maybe a bit less because of the weather, but there was 50 and most of them were family and friends It has to be about the most basic track i have been too, including A.Essex and Mildenhall, just a big grass bank surrounding the track ala Holsted but without the clubhouse etc at Holsted. The refs box looked like on of those sheds you buy from B&Q/Bauhaus. Was someone next to me filming the meeting.I asked if it was going to be on t.v.She said it was for a local station, but it wasn't about the meeting. It was something on the chairman of the club. Then she added,"It's boring speedway, isn't it!"
  23. A doddle then, once they put their first team out
  24. Yeah, seems the meeting has been cut short because of a power failure and bad weather.Don't know who they will meet.Is there a draw for the next round?
