Yes, and Dave is Australian

I did start a thread with this some months back. Didn't get much response though.....

Dave Yiannari ?

Think she was more than a supporter and sponsor. Sure she was President of South London Rangers C.S.C

Anyway, so far it seems like the top 10 or so are Football Horse racing Rugby Union Cricket Rugby League Greyhounds !! Motorsports...... Tennis Golf Ice Hockey Equestrian (?) This from 2015 about the main sporting events that year The top-10 for 2016 are as follows: Wimbledon — 494,000 Formula 1 (Silverstone) — 327,000 Royal Ascot — 295,000 Cheltenham Festival — 261,000 ATP World Tour Finals — 252,000 The Open [golf] — 173,000 Badminton Horse Trials — 160,000 MotoGP (Silverstone) — 156,000 Burghley Horse Trials — 155,000 Epsom Derby Festival — 154,000 Think both Wimbledon and Silverstone have upped that number in the past couple of years

See that is what you are reduced to

More importantly , did you see the post from Rob I was replying to using unpleasant terms in regards people who have a different opinion to him. He is a serial offender calling people names on the forum Now, I have tried to supply some factual evidence, have you got any to add or are you just going to waffle on and be rude ?
-
I have provided actual figures and you didn't, so I guess you haven't actually done what the OP asked, and I have. Yet you try and target me. So again, point out what is false with my posts, as it is easy to point out your errors
-
Sorry, but I fail to see how posting facts is 'targeting you' . Is what I posted wrong ? If so please point out which part......
-
Yes. That is why I have provided some actual numbers . Good eh ? You didn't so far, just a wishy washy link which mentions some sports I doubt get many spectators, unless the UK is hosting a world championships.....
-
Maybe, but fairly irrelevant in this topic, as you could say Formula 1 is one of the least popular sports in the country as only about 3 people participate
-
I thought gustix stated popularity as a spectator sport, not participant sport ?
-
You seem to have missed the stats provided, but hey ho...... Also just Wimbledon alone https://www.statista.com/statistics/957232/wimbledon-championships-aggregate-attendance/ But I do remember a similar thread a few years back and it was claimed that Cowes week has around 100,000 but how do you count people just watching from a beach or as with cycling, just standing at the roadside ? Ice Hockey at least the top league https://www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/748-attendances-up-over-2019-20-season
-
https://www.statista.com/statistics/686971/highest-attended-types-of-sport-in-the-uk/ 2017 And this just mentions the top 3 from 2019 Football was the biggest contributor, accounting for 50.5 million of UK attendances, or 67.2 per cent of the 75 million annual figure. Horse racing came second, accounting for 5.9 million live spectators (7.9 per cent) while Rugby Union came third, hosting 4.3 million live spectators (5.7 per cent).

That is weird though......not sure it really relates to your conditions. Although Athletics and Swimming etc might be popular, I don't think they really attract great crowds apart from the odd event. Especially swimming, but even athletics. I went to a couple of meetings at Crystal Palace, but unless it is an international event like European, World championships etc attandances are fairly poor. I'd say speedway does attract more than a lot in the list you provided
