Ruslan Mustafin, conkers. Not too sure on that one. Seems this one is the MFR Cup.At the same time at Kamensk-Uralsk,the Cup of Russia will be held.Pressumably by the other authority vieing for control of Russian speedway

Here is a pic of the track.Think it is a horse riding hall,so....dirt

Line up for the meeting at the weekend.Cup of Russia(?)Not too sure of the name as there appears to have been a battle for control of Russian Ice speedway, between 2 motorbike federations. The FIM and UEM seem to have backed the MFR.The word "crisis" has been used, which isn't something you would expect in Russian Ice speedway!Seems also the Saransk meeting the following weekend(Russian semi)has been cancelled due to bad weather.not enough snow! 1.N.Krasnikov 2.J.Kryskin 3.M.Bogdanov 4.D.Karpuhin 5.S.Baltachev 6.S.Kasakov 7.E.Dydykin 8.J.Polikarpov 9.D.Bulankin 10.V.Chapalov 11.A.Arkhipov 12.A.Gavrilkin 13.I.Drozdov 14.I.Kononov 15.A.Selifonov 16.A.Shishegov 17.R.Mustafin 18.E.Kamalov

I'm hoping to be there, despite what i have seen described as a "pornoshow" as off track entertainment Or is that because of the show There was some concern shown because of the 50cc riders from Denmark being in close proximity to the topless women

Good news on Günther Bauer. He had a succesful operation last week.Just before, he was back on an Ice bike at his own track, his son as well!More here -
Have to agree.Taking all things into account some very good results from the "western" riders.Tschatschin as well. And you can only be amazed at Posa.Every year you think he must pack up now, surely he can't keep up with these young guns, but the guy keeps coming out and stays among the elite.Respect Results from the quali meeting 10.12(points were 2,1,0 until finals) D.Tschatschin(2,2,2,2)+3 E.Krysov(1,2,2,2)+2 S.Koltakov(2,1,2,1)+1 A.Noskov(1,1,1,1)+0 S.Ardrjukov(2,0,0,2)+3 D.Koltakov(1,1,1,0)+2 M.Koltakov(0,2,0,0)+1 A.Rodin(0,0,0,1)+0 M.Zelepukin(0,0,1,-)

Wonder what went on with Antti as it seemed he only came out for 3 rides and completed only the one with second place Krasnikov as well won the 3 heats he finished, but fell once at least Interesting interview with Stefan Pletschacher this month where he mentions problems with riding in Russia.Amongst them problems for western riders with local police whenever something is stolen and fined for mysterious things!

Have to agree with you there. How much does a speedway track weigh considering it is spread out around the pitch.Add a few tractors, etc

If anyone fancies taking in the final rounds at Erfurt the promoters have what looks like a fantastic deal.A seat for both days+ programme and one night in the Radisson SAS+ breakfast, all for just 95€(double room) or 109€(single) -
Germany have announced the riders for the quali's M.Schultz and C.Hefenbrock ride at Tarnow T.Stange and M.Smolinski at Miskolc Good to see that they didn't go for some of the oldies
-
I would assume they won't all be used at once Henry.Risager,Moller and Pettersson are all juniors. What with Polish juniors as well, can't see them getting in unless the opposition is very poor.Maybe hardly used in the first team at all, just in junior competitions for Henrik and Robert.Morten is a different class.
-
There was also the case of Alois Wiesbock, who was banned for riding in a World Championship qualifier for his brother.I imagine like those marathon runners who go to the toilet and someone else comes out in their kit to complete the race.Alis brother goes to the loo and his Alois came out with the leathers and helmet on....

Yes,one of a number of surprises there. What a difference from Blago for Tschajka,Ivanov and Khomitsevitch.Pretty solid from the Swedes to finish above them. Also according to the russian report a very good result from Bulankin who injured his hip in the summer and is still recovering(i think )

As Subedei says,a lot of riders this season. How are they all going to fit in tommy?Seems a lot of juniors what with Kevin in as well
-
Just heard that Kevin Wölbert has also signed for Zielona Gora
-
Risky though. If they finish down the list and some of the others down there with them qualify will BSI go with basically the same riders next year or will they feel a need to change at least 1 or 2.Would be hard to justify 2 Brits getting 2 out of 3 wildcards.Might be even harder for BSI if a Brit qualifies.Or what happens if Zagar fails to get any higher than 13th or 14th in the GP's and fails to qualify. Will they give "their" rider a second chance over one of the Brits.Very tricky.I would rather they took no chances and got through the quali, along with Andersen, who must be favourite. In fact i would rather they finished right up the top of the GP rankings,but......

Surprised that Tschatschin isn't in the U21 thing, but maybe it's a bit below his standard.Sven Holstein is 19(?) year old sidecar rider.Partner and boyfriend of Crazy Daisy. Nothing much on that page Conkers.Just saying if the meeting on the natural tracks have to be cancelled and if the new date is a date clashing with the GP.So if a rider is also in the GP,then the worst result of the riders that ride in all meetings will be cancelled out.Don't see anything explaining the U21 thing. -
Star has it wrong i guess. From what i have seen Britain,Denmark,Sweden,Germany all have 4 riders in.For some reason Poland have the most with 5.Others like France have 2,etc.Just isn't enough places with only 3 quali's for Britain to have 6.Also does Britain really have 6 riders that have a chance of bringing anything to the GP's.O.k how many have Germany or France.... Really i guess Nicholls and Richardson will have to enter, just incase.Which as Kevin suggests only leaves 2 places up for grabs Maybe if one is doing really well in the early GP's that leaves another place free, but would they risk not entering You can see how it pans out here.Rather strange IMO that what looks the weakest quali in Hungary has 6 qualifiers, while only 5 go through from the 2 hardest(without any riders yet being named). Also 3 Hungarian riders all at home????

No,i got the info from www.speedwaynet.dk.This site gives a run down of which countries riders are riding at what venue, etc

If i've got this right it looks like reserves for the GP's have been announced 19.H.Andersen 20.R.Sullivan 21.T.Chrzanowski 22.K.Bjerre 23.R.Holta 24.S.Andersson No Brit,i see
