    Autographs

Blimey, you only found them the other day and you've already lost them.I ain't seen them
  3. Kevin Your aving a larf! You don't know "Jimmy" Ogisu's nationality.
  4. Must admit i was disappointed with my visit to the Bergring(speedway track next door is also my least favourite in North Germany).Reading Wiggy's book,it's obviously a track he loved, but maybe it is more a track for the rider than the spectator. It is certainly spectacular to see those guys come round the giant banked curve before the finish line. But to then see them speed off into the distance and disappear into the woods with only the sound of the bikes for a minute or so,see a glimpse then lose them again......Not really my thing! To me it seemed more a "Volksfest",a place for the youth of the ex-DDR to have a big weekend piss-up.Birds,beer,music and burn ups on their own bikes and the actual racing was just a side-show.
  5. Thanks for that tommy. Thought Luxo Stars were riding in Poland on the 26th March! From what i have seen the full squad are coming to germany for a training camp 24th and 25th having a practice meeting against locals before going to Poland.Hope it hasn't been cancelled,i was looking forward to that
  6. iris123

    65 - 13

Especially considering what great riders Poland had in that line-up
  7. Like that here as well, tommy Still quite interested in that Gorzow - Tarnow fixture
  8. iris123

    65 - 13

I was at Hackney for the England - Poland meeting when England got a 5-1 in every heat apart from the last when it was 3-2,due to Ray Wilson and Plech? getting excluded.
  9. According to BSA the wild cards for Erfurt are M.Sacharov and Marian Kreklau. There will also be sidecar races as well as a race between Günther Bauer and Robert Barth mmmmm not too sure about that one!
  10. I've heard there are a few extrovert fans at Coventry Gemini!Wouldn't mind betting a few have flares as well, knowing that fashion in the midlands isn't what it is in London
  11. Thanks Jim Not really on thread, but i did read recently that an ex-Reading Racer (think it was P.Wurtele,if he is married to Gerd Riss's sister)has a son and daughter doing quite well in junior Moto X,here in Germany.Typical me though, can't find the article now
  12. To cut a long story short. At the end of last season Gdansk owed some of the riders,Bajerski,Chrzanowski,Kosciecha among others about €21,000.It was then discovered that the top man at the club was being investigated for money laundering. The sponsors obviously didn't want to be associated with bad publicity and said they wouldn't work with him.Another club was set up to take the place of the old one,but when it was found out that money from the "top man's" wife was used to help form the new club Lotus pulled out because of the link to possible scandal. taken from the german speedway mag
  13. There is an awful lot of truth in that,Norbold.I get the impression a lot of fans love to have their own little area reserved, spread out, bring the dog, have a little chat with the person who always occupies the neighbouring "space",not too much mind! They wouldn't like the football style atmosphere and crowds that attend Polish speedway, with their banners and smoke flares.Last year when i pointed out Cardiff was planned the same night as a big football match the response was "we don't get media coverage anyway!".Speedway in Britain needs Wembley regardless as to whether it stays at Cardiff
  14. Think Austria were dropped after last year, pulling out and then having to enter Team Europe.Pity!
  15. Might then be easier to get the contact from conkers or Tomaz,as they have had contact, while i will have to ask
  16. Egon Müller was also a very good youth rider, before he turned to the speedway and longtrack.Although as i'm not sure what the difference between trials and MotoX is, i'm not 100% sure which one it was
  17. You can pre-purchase tickets(www.eisspeedway-berlin.de),although without Bauer and Austria and Zorn i don't think the crowd will be so big that it is necessary. The saturday in particular as we have the Aces on Ice in Unna(Sven Holstein is listed for the sidecar comp) as well as indoor speedway in Schwerin competing for fans It is very exposed on the bends and it is blinking cold at the mo,and predicted to stay so for the next week at least with snow every day
  18. If your interested TMGracing, the guy was on the German forum last year asking about the availability of riders!Maybe Tomaz Pozrl, contacted him, because he was asking about Slovenian riders,Zagar or Kolenko,if i remember Can get the contact address if wanted
  19. Think that is down to the manager, really. The Russians with 3 top riders will probably give them all a fair crack, while teams with only 1 or 2 good riders wanting to fight for a place on the rostrum will probably stick with the "better" riders(managers opinion on that). But really the top 2 are the ones programmed for the rides Also have seen something that Posa will give it another go next season and hopefully qualify for the GP's,then he is planning some motorbike trek across Europe(ending up in Siberia or China, not sure) with Olle Nygren and Ove Fundin in 2008
  20. Individual dates 7.may, Grinsted ,Super cup U21 semi 17 june, Outrup,DM semi 30 june ,Outrup,DM Finale 1 1 july,Vojens,Super cup U21 Final 30 july,Brovst,U19/U21 semi 4 aug,Holsted,DM Finale 2 12 aug,Holstebro,U19/U21 Final 3 sep,Holsted,Tjaereborg Super cup Final 2 part final this year
  21. I promise to buy you a drink or hot dog if we bump into each other this season
  22. Sorry garf,i don't mean to offend a nation and it's language.Just to my ear there are a few what i can only describe as back-of-the-throat-acrobatics going on with the Danish language, that i would find hard to copy! And the surname Vad just surprised me as i thought when i looked at the list of riders that i knew how to pronounce that one. Good to hear the news on KB
  23. I have no chance garf.I think you have to grow up with Danish to speak it!It starts off o.k then the words get mangled and mixed at the back of the throat.I remember the announcer at Holsted saying what i thought would be a quite simple name i.e Anders Vad! It sounded as if he was being sick when he pronounced that surname Anyway,i couldn't understand it all.I wasn't sure, has Charlie travelled with the Danish squad for the training or has he pulled out over this problem?
  24. More to my post about being surprised that Jesper was chosen before Charlie....seems Gjedde isn't very happy about it,and with some valid reason. If my Danish is any good seems the DMU rules were that choice for such things go by the results from the Danish Championship.Charlie finished 4th behind Nicki,Puk and Hans! Jesper finished 12th! Maybe it's because of the European Champ win? But rules are rules. Can one of our Danish speaking members confirm?
  25. Maybe no surprise they would dominate, but certainly Bulankins performance over the weekend is a big surprise to me.haven't had time to look at any Russian sites to see if there is a particular reason for that.
