  1. No i won't be going to Berlin.Vojens saturday then Brokstedt monday is enough! Will be interesting to see how Joonas gets on monday as he found the track extremly slick last year.
  2. I see Lehtinen has been nominated for one of the Longtrack qualifiers as well. How good is this guy?
  3. I was going to ask if you knew the riders for Holsted! I see the swedish qualifier is this weekend and would naturally expect Lindbäck,Lindgren and Aldén to get through..Messing as well.Looks like a battle between the Swedes and the Danes for the top at Holsted. Can't wait
  4. Hey Peter, Not a bad start.Looks like a hard season ahead for you Keep us updated on Simon's progress.News from Denmark is very sparse after the sad death of Kjeld. I am hoping to get to Holsted and Vojens as much as possible,as well as a few trips to some of the other tracks..Glumsø,Outrup,Holstebro(Jubilee meeting),Slangerup,Grinsted,Skaerbaek regards Doug
  5. Can someone in the Dorset area please put Shovs toys back in his pram, thanks
  6. Results can be seen here.Great result from Kevin Wölbert, even beat Walasek
  7. Apparently the GP highlights can be seen on TV3 Wroclaw tonight at 23:05.Which is a free channel to be found on Astra. Hope it all went well today Peter(Not sure what happened today in Denmark, chaos?).Hoping to be able to see a few 80cc meetings this season if the blooming weather gets better.Next weekend Vojens though for a 500cc meeting.Good luck to Simon for the season anyway
  8. Hope it's not the same sort of feeling you had about Pietraszko Gollob to struggle into top 8 imo
  9. Do you honestly think our Polish members give a #### who he rides for in England?
  10. Must say i am a bit surprised he was used more than Bjerre at the weekend. Is this due to some new rule or just team choice? Can't see KB being too happy travelling for one ride!
  11. What is it about the Kasprzak family that seems to upset people?I had the feeling last year from another Polish fan that they were not too popular
  12. Like you tommy i have been impressed with Nikolai. At first it was Patrick Hougaard who impressed me,but he does seem more of a gater. But Nikolai and Leon Madsen(who i have only seen a couple of times because he was injured)do seem more exciting.Kevin Wölbert did beat Nikolai in Denmark when i saw them race each other though Very much the same sort of rider and i do rate Kevin as potentially the best rider from Germany(early days yet). Will be interesting to see how they all get on this season
  13. Shovlar still can't work that out! He is still wondering why Boyce or one of the Davidsson bros are not track reserves!!!
  14. Don't know how to spell his name though....it's Jonas
  15. Henry, not sure where you saw the teams, but i would trust the sportowefakty teams about as much as you trust subedei It lists both Smoli and Hefenbrock.Think Smoli won't be riding anywhere for a few days after his crash yesterday and Hefe.....will he be riding for Wolves tonight? I do know the Russian league starts in 2 days time.If they have anything else on at the moment, not sure
  16. Can i just quote from a book i have just finished reading.. "Quite often,if it was anything important and the sky started to get dark,i would more or less say,"Please God let it rain so i can get away and i don't have to ride" And that was said by arguably the best rider ever, one who you have listed. I do though remember numerous meetings at Plough Lane in the 70s when sawdust was dumped on the track and the meeting went ahead. Also saw a Denmark v Sweden U21 meeting last year that was a mud fest and the pics i took recieved comments along the lines of "you wouldn't see a meeting run in Britain in those conditions"!(Steve Dixon)
  17. Must say that it does seem investment in proper kit seems a problem at lots of tracks around Europe. Here it seems the same as at lots of British tracks.Ask local farmers to come with tractors. It does the job most of the time. The recent Ice Final in Berlin was a case in point as well. They had 2 tractors to take the top layer of broken ice off.One was great, the other skidded all over the place as soon as it had half a shovel full of ice in front of it.
  18. Maybe they had specific data for Poole rather than the UK? As i said, rainfall in isolation doesn't give the whole picture.Heavy rainfall in the middle of summer disappears much quicker than rainfall in winter or spring
  19. You are the expert of course ......but i would have thought even if the rain fall was the same the temperature difference would mean rain later in the year would have less effect due to quicker evaporation,or not?
  20. It would be easier for you to ask Steve if he is there in the field with you
  21. Well there they have the advantage over most of us.Or is it folk from East Anglia who have more choice of fingers?
  22. Well they can't wait around for ever. They have flights to catch before the important meetings in Poland tomorrow
  23. Think Joonas is missing because he is/was riding today in the Bundesliga, which i think has been rained-off.Glad i seem to have made the right decision and stayed at home
  24. Looks like speedway.org have the Brokstedt team wrong as on the brokstedt homepage the team is: M.Kröger J.Kylmäkorpi - N.Klingberg R.Stanek Still looking for a German rider to complete the line-up.Still time for a lot of changes as well
  25. Line-up announced for the season opener in the Bundesliga(weather permitting) Neuenknick R.Schäfer K.Wölbert L.Jankowski R.Okoniewski M.Bartz Diedenbergen R.Miskowiak T.Kroner T.Stange A.Dryml R.Deddens Wolfslake M.Sekula K.Puodzuks M.Diener G.Klopot E.Pudel Brokstedt M.Kröger - - C.Gjedde R.Stanek Not sure who completes the Brokstedt line-up.Is Katt riding for Somerset(looks like he is at Newport )?Sönke Petersen is still out injured.Maybe Kylmäkorpi or Henning Bager fills one place, but if Stephan is missing he will be hard to replace as only 2 foreign riders are allowed.Diedenbergen look strong again. Will be looking forward to seeing Kevin Wölbert in the U21's in the morning and in the main meeting
