  1. Err,i think you have listed why And that is a very big if Nicki Pedersen Bjarne Pedersen Niels Kristian Iversen Hans Andersen Jesper .B Jensen Charlie Gjedde Kenneth Bjerre Man for man that is a good squad even if Bjerre and Gjedde aren't going well at the mo
  2. Don't think it is quite so easy to judge comaprative strengths by looking at how certain riders do in both leagues. If all tracks were similar then ok,but just because Dryml or Miedzinski do better in Poland, doesn't mean the league is weaker, maybe just the track suits them better.Still,if you have enough time on your hands you can go through the leagues and compare all riders, work it all out and come up with statistics to prove something or other.I still like the look of the Swedish and Polish line-ups far more than the most Elite teams
  3. Ya gotta laugh. If there was a wrong end of the stick grasping competition,i know who i would like on my side
  4. Was a little surprised that Kling got through.Thought Tomicek would make it.Hope Seb Aldén isn't as disappointed as he was in Holsted.Again top scorer in the main meeting, only to miss out in the Final.Great stuff from Daniel and following it on sportowefakty,Holder always looked to be a favourite to qualify.
  5. Think they said 53 less than expected Not really....only 32 less. Some that signed had second thought come the day!
  6. I won't pretend to know exactly how all this works,but........can't Norway enter anyone who rides on one of their licences while only someone who holds a passport can be fielded in their national team.Just from previous examples Simon Wigg entered the Longtrack World Championship on a (Dutch?)foreign licence but wasn't a citizen of that country. This year i think both Stephan Katt and Matten Kröger thought about entering on French licences because they were not nominated by Germany. They were told the had to enter the French Championship last year to geta nomination. Not sure what the status of Pijper is on this.He seems to enter through France From previous examples i would think it quite possible that Holta could enter the GP quali's through Norway and still line up for Poland in the SWC,if all parties are willing.Sadly just another issue that makes the sport an oddity to the outside world.
  7. Thought he broke his hand in a crash at Abensberg.Would have thought it was definite, but have not seen any info since the meeting
  8. Don't think Stange will be there.Thought he was injured last week in the Team U21.
  9. Think you can add Nicolai Klindt to the line-up.Will be riding in the Young Guns meeting as well
  10. Outrup 47 C.Gjedde (3,1,2*,1*,2,0)9+2 N.Klindt (1,3,2,2,2*,3,1)14+1 P.Paluch (2,F.0,3,2,1,6,0)14 J.Lukaszewski (0,3,0,1*)4+1 P.Nørgaard (F.X,3,0,0)3 S.Andersen (1,F,2*,0)3+1 Holsted 52 N-K.Iversen (2,2*,2,3,2*,2*)13+3 H.Møller (Ret,1,1*,0,1*)3+2 N.Pedersen (3,3,3,3,3,3)18 P.Hougaard (1,1*,0,3,1)6+1 C.Wortmann (3,0,1,0)4 J.Raun (2*,2,F.X,1,1,2)8+1) Outrup slightly weakened as Andreas Messing couldn't make it and Patrick Nørgaard was a last minute relacement(i think ) Staerke Partner Heat N.Klindt bt P.Hougaard Best Fighter J.Raun(i think?) A few pics here
  11. About as much chance of that as Ferjan had of getting a Hungarian passport last year I was thinking the same.Anyway the good burghers of Togliatti ain't too happy with a GP being held in some far flung outpost on the edge of Europe called Cardiff
  12. Nothing to do with Wroclaw apart from the fact it was there that a new venue was discussed.Big-wigs from Togliatti met with Postlethwaite in Wroclaw to discuss the staging of a GP at the new stadium they are going to build.Interesting
  13. Well i think Sweden will qualify no problem.Just hope Finland,Czecho and Russia take enough points off each other to enable Germany to get through
  14. Puts him under tremendous pressure to do well though.Do think Iversen will do well, based on what i saw last year.
  15. Well he did ride one or two meetings last year.He was listed in the pre-publicity and he did make one of few appearances there a couple of years back,so i thought he might be there. Funnily enough just seen this which if they don't change it before anyone reads it has Ronni instead of Hansen Have seen from an un-official source that the attendance was 9,000+
  16. I still think they should have some sort of quali on the day or maybe the day before.Say the 2 riders who finished in the last two places from the previous GP and 6 outsiders in two or more heats(2 if held on GP day). That way you get a chance to give riders who are in good form a chance.Have a shake up at the bottom of the GP pile.Put Richardson and Pepe, etc in with Hans,Joonas,Kolodziej, etc
  17. 1. S. Andersson 13 2 M. Smolinski 12+3 3 C. Hefenbrock 12+2 4 G. Walasek 11 5 D. Ruud 10 6 R.Dobrucki 9 7 D. Howe 8 8 M. Wolter 7 9 N. Klingberg 7 10 C. Gjedde 6 11 B. Brhel 6 12 L. 18. Not sure on that.I do know that both Ronni Pedersen(which would fit with the flag) and Joe Screen were announced in the line-up a week or so ago.Could be either of them or someone else
  19. Yeehaaa! Congratulations to Kevin Wölbert on making it through to the Final
  20. Result from Final 1.B.Hamill 2.S.Ulamek 3.N.Klingberg 4.C.Louis 5.C.Gjedde 6.S.Drabik Full heat results here Due to bad weather there was no action on the Bergring grass track yesterday. The riders were worried naturally that the track was too soft for an ambulance to reach them if an accident occured.
  21. Pity we don't get to see these guys too often up here. Was quite impressed with Facher when he rode in the U21 Final at Teterow a few years back.
  22. Whon are these "young talented german riders"? Any info on Germany 2?
  23. Yes,it was on speedway.org that i thought they said France were not going.Must be a mis-translation Oh no,i see what i have done now.I went through the link and then scrolled down.It is the U19s in Hungary.Sorry
