Not so close.Nicki looked to be in control, then Hans,Bjarne and a very fast Kenneth were pretty much equal behind him.Puk had to work hard for his points.Patrick Hougaard almost beat him,and if garf or Peter S can explain what happened in heat 12 Jonas Raun was laeding Puk and Gjedde for 3 laps before the red light came on and the heat was re-run.Jonas was as can be expected not happy.Couldn't understand the explanation. Nicolai Klindt had a nasty looking crash.Broke the wooden fence with his back.He seemed to hit the top of the fence with the middle of his back and bent over the fence backwards. When they called on the ambulance i thought that was the end of his night, but after a few minutes he was up and carried on Not sure how fit he was after that. The one rider i expected more from was Charlie. The format being used is a GP system of points,so Nicki has 22pts,Hans 20,18,17,16....... Looked on the bends for someone in a yellow shirt.3rd and 4th bend saw no-one apart from the track staff in flourecent jackets.1st and 2nd bend, well there were about 20 with yellow shirts Some pics here

It's either 6 or 5 from the third or we end up with 3 reserves -
Just a guess.Bjerre homepage?!?

There was a running battle outside Parken last year.Very strange crowd. Not the usual Danish speedway crowd,i must say.I would rather spend my money going to the 2 Danish Final rounds and a couple of Superliga meetings.Last years programme for the Gp cost as much as a Superliga meeting+programme

There is a mistake somewhere amongst the Holsted scorers, though. They ended up with 51 points but the totals come to 54,i think.Henrik was on 10 points after 5 heats, but ends up with 17 with no joker being used :unsure:Still a good performance though.

Seems to me a very reasonable thing to say, remembering for every rider there is a hard working team behind him.Why not give them a mention?
-
I was wondering if that had anything to do with Subedei's bad mood. The "No more GP's at Parken" post
-
Don't forget this is just the first round, with the second at Holsted. The winner won't be decided on friday.I think you will see a different Nicki in Outrup and maybe he won't win,but he will still be in contention when Holsted comes around. Don't think he will be on the rostrum but Nicolai Klindt on his home track will take a top scalp or two Bring it on

I agree with the sentiment that Slangerup get a bumper crowd.Just a pity that Danish fans get very few chances to see their own top riders.Still, evryone will get a chance to see Leon Madsen,Patrick Hougaard and Jonas Raun on home territory. Very nice offer Peter, unfortunately i won't be going. Not a big fan of GP's(only been to 2 Individual World Finals and 2 GP's in about 40 years of watching speedway),but was thinking of coming up for the Slangerup meeting.Decided a while back not to though.Nothing to do with the line-up.Will be (weather permitting) in Outrup next friday for the Danish Final and might possibly go to Holsted wednesday for what was advertised as a meeting between Holsted-Güstrow-Leszno.Will wait for the line-up first though. -
Good question.Kelvin Tatum, naturally.Roger Johns,of course.Ferreira was a favourite, but to be honest i'm not sure(my memory isn't perfect) if that was pre or post dropping down a league.Just remember him as a great rider.I also took to John Davis, even though he was obviously someone else also more associated with other teams.Like i said, can't really pin-point why

Don't mean to sound negative. It's not that i disliked Simmo,i was more neutral. For some reason there are riders who i didn't/don't take to(something subconcious?could have been the colour of his leathers )and Simmo was one
-
Might get the book, but won't make any special effort.Unlike you,Simmo was never a favourite of mine, even when he rode for the Dons.Always associated him with other clubs rather than Wimbledon.Nothing against him, mind.I would say the same for a number of riders who changed clubs quite often and on their travels passed through Plough Lane. How the speedway world has changed, they pretty well all do it nowadays

But none of the top Danish riders, apart from Niels -
I'd say Nicolai Klindt Kevin Wölbert is also on a par with him and Pavlic followed by René Bach(my tip to win this years 80cc World Championship) and i said last year watch out for Simon Fischer and after seeing him at the weekend again,he still looks good.Maybe there will be 2 Bjerre's also at the top,eh garf
