Does that mean you might buy a few drinks? I might have to get a hotel room, instead of travelling back to hamburg

Ice speedway in Berlin on St.Patrick's day Sounds good

And of course the beer festival will be on

.Taken from my preview of the Euro Champ in Croatia Anders Mellgren won the Nordisk Championship last weekend in Fredericia. The best Swedish rider and could almost have won the YGT.One for the future.Dennis Andersson was also impressive,if inconsistent.Very fast rider.

European Pairs Final, Lendava 5.8.
iris123 replied to tomazpozrl's topic in International World of Speedway
Yes.Plenty of countries not involved that could supply a ref.Crazy situation. But look at what happened last year with the World U21 final.Should have been restaged but the polish guy decided that would interfere with the polish league fixtures,by all accounts -
European Pairs Final, Lendava 5.8.

Are the Slovenian authorities going to take matters further Tomaz. It is about time someone takes a stand. -
I agree there Not sure i agree with that though.Saw the Swedish U21 side twice last year and wasn't that impressed.Anders Mellgren looks good but that is a few years off, yet.

I think it means "got up to mischief" according to subedei
-
Well Lasse went one better than his big brother
-
You are on form tonight Jim.Agree with your posts so far Must add that although Hans has that will to win,he is also very concerned about the safety of his fellow riders. On a number of occasions now he has been quick on the scene when a competitor has had an accident.Says a lot about the guy as well.

It's all a bit expensive.I can get you a Holsted pen or a Steven Andersen hat. They are more in my price range

I was standing by the start,in front of the Nicki P shop, for the first few heats.Did hear a cheer for Kenneth during the presentation from the grass bank by the control tower. That must have been you and a few others. Not 100% sure i can face a third trip to Denmark.Did ask Kenneth on wednesday if you were there and came back later, just before they closed the pits.No luck. How is Kenneth?Should be pleased with the way he raced.
-
They were up on the roof of the control building.Looked to me as if they were filming most of the last heats
-
WOW! What a final. One of the best races i have seen for a long time.Nicki gates and leads into the first bend, loses control, wheelies somehow regains control without going into the fence, but has lost most of his momentum. He is in last place.Hans leads and Kenneth and Bjarne battle it out for second.Nicki gets going and in about a lap takes KB and Bjarne in one move.Hans is a fair bit in the lead at this time, but Nicki powers on.Where he is getting the speed from,i don't know but he is gradually reeling Hans in and goes past as if Hans is slowing down and there is still a lap to go.As he went past i was thinking he is bound to lose it but no.Nicki powers home and what a reception.Someone was filming the meeting.I just hope the video surfaces. A few pics here

Just had a look.Great site.Good to see Kelly Moran is still around What is that for a track though?.Is it permanent?Looks a bit like a car park converted You just can't beat american commentators
-
What happened to Yogi in the first heat garf?.What were his feelings on the track conditions at the start?Anyway, looking in good form for tomorrow

Thanks Peter.Got confused reading the Holsted programme where it says Semi 1 09.08,semi 2 16.08.Thought that meant 2 legs Yeah,Hauzinger looked to me as if he wasn't too interested.Would have thought even Klaus Jakobsen could have scored a few more than 0.But then Outrup can't be happy with the performance from Flis.He only got a point because Paluchs bike packed up.

Outrup 51 K.Buczkowski (2*,2,3,3,2,2)14+1 C.Gjedde (3,3,2*,3,3,1*)15+2 P.Paluch (2*,1*,2,e.f,1*)6+3 N.Klindt (3,3,0,1,3)10 K.Arendt (1,0,1,2*,1)5+1 R.Flis (R,e.f,e.f,1,0)1 Slangerup 48 K.Bjerre (0,3,6,3,3,3)18 M.Korneliussen (1,1*,1,2,2)7+1 M.Hauzinger (R,0,0)0 L.Madsen (1,2,1,1,1*)6+1 K.Hansen (2*,2,3,2*,2,0)11+2 H.Vedel (3,1*,0,2*,0,0,0)6+2 Staerke partner heat Nicola Klindt bt Mads Korneliusen Track seemed a bit dodgy.Graded it for about 25 mins, then gave up and scraped the top surface off. Then took a few heats to settle down.A few riders not very interested at first,so it seemed.Charlie looked good as did Buczkowski(very good gater). After the first heat,KB was very fast out of the gate and gone. Was a good meeting for Kenneth Hansen and Kenny Arendt also done well.Made a great first bend pass on Hauzinger Holsted meet Brovst next week in the semi final first leg.Outrup meet Slangerup, but not sure who hold the first leg.Think it is probably at Slangerup as the Outrup meeting is on the 16th

Schildburgerpokal - Teterow 19/08
iris123 replied to ExiledBee's topic in International World of Speedway
Don't think anything has been announced.Probably be the usual riders. Those that are contracted to Teterow. So you should see Hefenbrock,Walasek,(depends on Mirko Wolters plans....if he has retired that week or making a comeback )etc.Think before they were trying to add a touch of drama into it by only announcing a few riders every week. Keep an eye out at www.bergring-teterow.de -
Janusz Kolodziej Out For The Season?
iris123 replied to Tona's topic in International World of Speedway
Terrible,if true. But best wait for confirmation before going further with this,Or did you see it on tv? -
Would have thought Zagar and Lindbäck were assured. Can't see them only having 1 Swedish rider and Matej has done well in his first year.
-
Well i think Nicki has had to issue a statement praising Olsens contribution to Danish speedway Not that his place is in doubt, but it doesn't pay to make enemies in high places
-
Maybe back under a new name

European 80ccm Championship
iris123 replied to tomazpozrl's topic in International World of Speedway
Wow,and you still manage to produce riders like Zagar and Ferjan Just thought a couple of youngsters might have given it a go.I mean the youngsters from Australia in the YGT had never sat on an 80cc bike before. Are the youngsters coming to speedway from another motorbike sport such as MotorX?
