British Selection For 2007
iris123 replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Maybe you could do a little experiment.Look at one or 2 teams from Sweden and Poland.Work out the total averages for that team using their British ones and see if that team would be able to turn out in the Elite league. Can't be bothered to do it myself, but it might be interesting -
Yes,i know garf. But it is the place where you can ask some questions about Danish speedway(apart from here).Plus they do have a broader agenda than just Holsted. At the moment there is a bit about next years Danish leagues.Which you are welcome to translate for us if you want Looks like the Superliga is going back to a 4tt format?

British Selection For 2007

Well a few riders or people from riders teams have told me they think the Swedish league is the hardest and the Polish the most lucrative. We are only talking 3 or 4 here but they all say the same. As an aside and getting further from the topic here are the worrying attendance figures for the Elitserien.Taken from Holsted web page 2006: 234.138 2005: 272.651 2004: 257.478 2003: 256.261 2002: 241.033 -
I'd say Poland Sweden Denmark(2007 champs was my prediction last year and i stick by that ) Germany

No Tsunami.A 3 man team.I was talking to a friend of his(i think) and he said he was looking terrible the other week with flu. This guy was hoping to come over to Newcastle with Manu for a meeting -

British Selection For 2007
iris123 replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
30 years ago Andy we had 4 out of the top 8 in the world.Just as well there wasn't a GP sytem then as one at least probably wouldn't have been allowed in the competition, given this quota system -
Think if you do a search you might find one or two answers on here.If not give Shazzy a call she is a bit of an expert.

Could be some on the german forum. But they will be sporadic every 4 or so heats. Not sure though -
Sounds about right miro. When he joined Leicester he only had 6 months experience of speedway behind him. Shame he only rode in Britain for one season. I don't suppose anyone has a photo of him do they? From what I remember he had rather a strange looking face and certainly wouldn't have been chosen for a Mr Handsome competition, unlike some of the other past & present charismatic Americans. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I do.Its in one of those speedway pictorial things.I think an Alf Weedon production. And you are right not a pretty picture.Could quite imagine him up in a tree, banjo in hand

Unusually for you Shazzy it does make sense I understand what your saying and no,it doesn't sound patronising.Just don't agree with ya Just wondering if you are taking tranquilizers,as you are very calm these last weeks

Difficult Decisions Ahead............
iris123 replied to Brummie Boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Probably reflects the various countries strengths at the mo.But i very much doubt NKI will be there next year, despite having powerful support. Also think he has proved the doubters wrong and he hasn't struggled like Pepe.If it is given to a Brit( and i would rather Stead or Harris),i hope that they can at least match his performance and maybe really surprise most like Zagar has -
Thats more like it Shazzy. At least it's based on facts.....but.....lets face it ,you probably go to meetings that Mark is riding in or at least to tracks where he is more likely to be popular than the others. If you went further up north, maybe popular opinion would be more towards Stead or Harris. If you went to Swindon, maybe fans would still be saying Lee should be given a chance. And lets face it even someone as talkative as you hasn't managed to talk to 51% of the crowd at every track you visit. And how many tracks have you been to this year? I know your biased, just wanted to point out what i think is an overexageration Btw i have seen Mark recently watching Eliteserien.Think he was beaten by Kim Jansson amongst others.Just like i said,ok he is doing well in england but he can't put those performances in everywher nowadays and imo the GP's would be stretching him too thin

Nevs!Feeling ok?If i point out something that is clearly untrue(just look at the posts here and it is clear that we are not unanimous in wanting Loram in)is that grounds for getting angry? If you get angry everytime someone disagrees with the opinion you hold......well.Lifes a bitch

You can't still be typing out them blooming results, surely -
Now,now Shazzy.Where do you get that from.If i remember rightly even the petition to get him in the British Final got about 50 names on it(after it was extended further than planned).Maybe if you said "most of my speedway mates".That might come to a 30 or 40 .
