Something about that statement doesn't add up.Middlo gets 110% out of his riders, but Lee Richardson was below par -
European 80ccm Championship

Thanks for the kind words garf Well Michael Palm Toft is the new WC.A bit lucky imo.René Bach is a favourite of mine.Seen him a few times for Vojens as well as the YGT.He can gate and pass.If he has recovered from the disappointment of losing the title that he should have won,i can see him at least on the podium.Michael Jepsen Jensen is a name a lot will have heard and for very good reasons. He is a very exciting rider.Wild and unpredictable. He has one aim and that is to get to the front.A little Nicki P.Anders Mellgren won the Nordisk Championship last weekend in Fredericia. The best Swedish rider and could almost have won the YGT.One for the future.Dennis Andersson was also impressive,if inconsistent.Very fast rider.Szymon Wozniak was the best Polish rider.Looks like he would be good when he progresses to 500cc,but won't trouble the Danish and Swedish riders. Not so impressed with ex-WC Simon Nielsen.Even in the Vojens side i would only rate him 4th best, behind Bach,Melchiorsen and Patrick Tarp(who isn't riding).Sjögren and Kasper Lykke Nielsen have impressed, but Steffen Andersen should concentrate more on his riding and less on the wheelies Thats just my opinion though -

To be honest i think Nicki will have to write this GP year off.Good start, but it all went wrong. But he will be going hell-for-leather next week to beat Hans and win the Danish title.I would make him favourite to do so as well, but with it being an A-Final situation anything could happen. Can't wait for it -

But Nicki beat Hans twice in the first leg of the Danish Championship -
Team Gb - Time For A Change?
iris123 replied to FlyinRyan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I only posted on this thread to point out what i thought was a flaw but if you ask.... Well i thought GB could beat Sweden. And they did beat Australia so i guess 2nd place should have been possible. As i said before hand,if Denmark perform to potential they are imo,in a class of their own.Not only with the 5 that were at Reading but also strength in depth. We would have had to have caught them on a very bad day.I do honestly believe with the right people advising him,Nicholls has the potential to be amongst the elite in speedway and the right person could get more out of the others.Richardson can beat pretty well anyone at times. The thing with using a club manager is that he has no interest in helping a rider out of a slump in form for instance as that won't be in his teams interest. Then all of a sudden he has a day or two to try and get a rider in top form.Imo we need a full time manager who spends the season helping the riders I would have also thought that a GB win would be very beneficial to the BSI/Sky relationship and so everything possible would be done to ensure the best possible chance i.e right track, right track conditions, extra practice, etc. -
Team Gb - Time For A Change?

Sorry for the 50+ misquote ,but still............this is speedway where riders performance can change drastically according to the track and it conditions.Take Gollob as an example if all GP's were held in Poland and Bydgoszcz in particular he would be a multiple WC imo.Fact is on the various tracks the GP circuit goes to he has little chance. No point including performances at Swindon when comparing strengths at Reading -
Team Gb - Time For A Change?
iris123 replied to FlyinRyan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Trouble with those figures though is that they are Elite figures, gained over the season at all the various tracks.GB and the rest didn't ride at all the tracks, they rode at Reading. So if you want to give us some figures to show where we stand in the rankings, give us the figures from meetings held at Reading. Then add in the fact that maybe a rider was coming back from injury, loss of form or was in super form, maybe track conditions at the time were not to the riders liking or quite the opposite. Can't see much point in such things, but they are peculiar to certain speedway supporters. Also find it quite pointless to suggest Poland have an average of 50+ based on their performance on Polish tracks. Do all the figures with adjustments for all the various extras and i will be interested to see what you come up with -
Think it is more than twice Norbold.Sure it was on speedway general dscussions as well.Unless it was moved

Must admit i found it a bit strange that this book was out,Jim.Just hope it isn't the case of someone finding out there is a book coming out(well researched by the sound of it)and quickly knocked one out before the other was finished.
-
There is another book on Fay in the pipeline i think.Wasn't there something on here a while ago about a woman who was writing a book on her life. Not just her speedway career.Thought Fascist Fay,as someone named her was also into car racing of some sort.
-
Bad news i'm afraid.By that time a young lad called Michael Jepsen Jensen will possibly be at his peak, and he is very much in the Nicki,Hans mould.Hates losing And i agree with shazzy above. We welcome anyone on here,no matter what country they come from.We are all speedway fans. The only ones not welcome are idiots that write such crap as Felix
