  1. And a very close meeting between Z.G + Wroclaw.Young Wölbert getting the better of Chris Holder.Bit of gossip on the net that Z.G have bought Swiderski.Trying to get some of the money back they wanted to charge 45zl.The natives were a bit restless and manned the barricades. The club reduced the price to 35zl! Whether there is any truth in this we will find out from tommy later,i guess
  2. Yes but Jagus is about 40 years old and doesn't ride in the Elite league
  3. Result from the latest U21 round(South)Neustadt/Donau R.Speiser F.Facher C.Demmel M.Dachs Full details here
  4. I tend to agree.Just because one rider totally dominates one year, doesn't mean he will automatically do the same the year after.I mean in some sports such as tennis a player can dominate a set,win 6-0 then lose the next one by the same amount.Funny things happen when you start from the beginning again.
  5. And how did Nicki look last night?Heard he will be doing 8 of the Holsted meetings and Puk 6.Just forgot to ask if he wil be doing the ones against Hans
  6. Yes.As ever he looked good. Was only beaten by Klaus Jakobsen(finally saw a good meeting from him ) and Brian Lyngsø(also impressive). Was a very dry and dusty track.Think the riders must have had trouble seeing in some heats. They did decide to water the track after 3 heats instead of 4 early on.Can't really remember any passing but it wasn't a bad meeting. The racing was close.Mads looked good as he should and Hauzinger looked better than i have seen him for some time.A bit unlucky,as he was at the gate and his helmet colour wasn't on properly. The start marshall adjusted it and he was ready to go.In the meantime his team manager ran across the infield and got in front of him so Manuel moved back while the guy adjusted it a bit more and he was excluded for time! Not a happy bunny. Then in his next heat a connection to the spark plug broke. I really don't know how the track can host the European Semi though. It as about the most basic track i have seen.Only 1 toilet,no gates of any sort, although they have renewed the track fence. Photos will follow, but they are renovating the upload mode at the mo

  8. You mean me or the league? There is a meeting tonight in Holstebro. If people are interested i think there are live updates on the Holsted forum. Not sure if they are doing them for every meeting.I thought they were only doing them for the meeting they are involved in.But it seems not As for me.Korskro on saturday for Nicolai Klindts return.Tuesday we have a Bundesliga meeting at Brokstedt(Nicolai again there) then next friday an afternoon meeting Esbjerg v Slangerup. Then saturday i am split between the Master of Speedway meeting or the start of the new Eurospeed Cup(Teterow v Stralsund)
  9. With this system it is hard to say really.Last year there was more strength in depth.Holsted had Nicki + Puk together,so the opposition had to face two top riders. This year there is(or yesterday was)one top rider in each team.It was good that they face each other at least 4 times(can't wait for Nicki v Hans ).So he was definitely the second best rider there and looked good.He beat Ryan once when Ryan was left at the gate and finished last.Other than that he was beating Ryan once when his bike packed up,although Ryan looked like he was swooping around the outside at the time. Was that coz Karols bike was slowing? He is definately one i would like to see again in a stronger line-up. Anyway a good start to the new league.Cameras were there although just local tv,but i heard that the Danish channel DK4 will be showing highlights of league meetings during their GP coverage
  10. Result from the opening meeting at Grindsted Grindsted Speedway Klub 45 Ryan Sullivan (3,0,3,3,3,3)15 Peter Juul Larsen (0,2,0,0,2',0)4+1 Jesper Kristiansen (3,2,2,2,1,1)11 Anders Andersen (2',2,2',3,2,1)12+1 Nicki Barrett (F.x,1',1,1')3+2 Brovst Speedway Club 41 Karol Zabik (2,3,e.f,3,e.f,6*,2)16 Robert Mikolajczak (1',3,3,3,0,0)10+1 Lars Hansen (F.x,1,3,1,2,2')9+1 Claes Nedermark (1,1,1,2,1)6 Mike Ebæk (F.inj)0 Zabik a bit let down by bike problems.Man of the meeting for me was Lars Hansen.A few great passes by the youngster A nasty crash involving Nicki Barrett and Mike Ebæk.Not sure what happened but Ebæk took no further part in the meeting.Hope all is well.Spoke briefly to Henning Bager who can't wait to get back racing, friday Photos here
  11. Yes your right.Nordhastedt is a British track abroad. It could fit into the middle of Brokstedt Although Güstrow is about the same length it is almost a circle(the way it is ridden anyway).Nordhastedt was built with a British style track in mind.Saying that,i am hoping to get to Wittstock this year which is totally different and is based on Pardubice. And they will be having 6 rider heats as well
  12. Well there are such things as video recorders nowadays. So no need for those of us without Sky to wait till the end of season for a dvd set Eurosport are showing it on 09.05(09:45-10:45) and then 10.05(08:30-09:30) If they don't decide to change it at the last minute
  13. Result from inspeed.de 1. Chris Holder 14 2. Pawel Hilb 13 3. Martin Vaculik 12 +3 4. Friedrich Wallner 12 +2 5. Adrian Gomolski 11 6.Matej Kus 10 7.Frank Facher 8 8. Richard Speiser 7
  14. No Ales and A.Rymel were seeded. Then the top 4 here.I just think they had a run-off for third place on the rostrum and probably a bit more money Actually looking on the Czech site they have Sam + Lukas at Stralsund,Ales and Adrian in Lvov plus Tomas and Lubos in Togliatti.Whereas the Stralsund site has listed Ales in the line-up for a while now.Still looks like a good line-up Line-up,Stralsund
  15. This was the Czech qualification for the European Championship. The Polish quali was a couple of days back. That isn't bonus points but a run-off.So yes Sam has qualified for the European Championship qualifiers. There will be 2 riders at Stralsund which i will be going to (Ales is already nominated),2 at Lvov and 2 at Togliatti. Not sure who will be at each meeting though.Hope either Lukas or Sam will be the other rider at Stralsund
  16. Of course.Just would mean banning females from spectating as well then

    Igor Plechanov

No that's right.TC and his brother(or brother in law)who's flat parts of the bikes were found at.Maybe someone has clearer knowledge.I did come across an article in one of my old Speedway Stars a while back
  18. I see Antonio is in a bit of bother in Poland. I think he is fairly safe in the GPs.Sweden with 2 of them and only really AJ roubling the top.I said last year that Sweden don't have the talent they did have. With PK not making it in the qualis, will he or Lindgren make it this year?Looks doubtfull at the mo and no-one else on the horizon.

They should have assigned one of the guys to watching the bikes then
  20. Donny can sometimes be seen in deepest South London. There is a Mormon thingymybob(not sure if they call them churches or temples or what)in Mitcham where he has been a visitor.Apparently
  21. I have a feeling Subedei would much rather see some of this Certainly get them flocking in early If i'm not mistaken this is where Reading copied their team suits from
  22. Rob.Seems very working mens club rather than national stadium, big sporting event type performance to me
  23. The faint chance a British rider will win Or is it the cry of "I'm only here for the beer"
  24. Results from the first round of the German U21 qualis,South in Landshut C.Demmel R.Speiser M.Dachs M.Helfer Full results here Plus the line-up for the Master of Speedway,Moorwinkelsdamm 05.05 M.Smolinski T.Kroner K.Wölbert S.Katt L.Jankowski(P) F.Lindgren(S) L.Lindgren(S) H.Bager(Dk) T.Pijper(Nl) J.De Jong(Nl) D.Howe(GB) J.Davidsson(S) Also the first info on-line about the meeting at Wittstock.Heard a bit at Güstrow the other week and it sounds like a great meeting(as long as the line-up matches the hype).Team Germany v Team Scandinavia v Team Europe Wittstock
