  1. Ha,ha,ha Honestly don't know TMW.This is the first time speedway has been held there. From what i have heard it is usually just the freestyle jumps, but they decided to put speedway on as well. Will be going on sunday so i will find out then
  2. I wonder if we had a rider saying "I love the Taleban and their leader and this war seems terribly unfair."Would speedyguy say they were far from being a nasty piece of work?I think not
  3. This weekend we have the 2 day Indoor Speedway/Freestyle MotoX meeting in Kiel.Plenty of action.Looks like 5 hours each day, with an International freestyle tournament, junior speedway, sidecars,a Germany v Denmark match of sorts. The main attraction is a good quality line-up including Smoli,Bager,Skornicki,Møller,British interest in Simon Walker, indoor specialist Stephan Katt plus Night of Speedway winner Tobi Busch More details here
  4. Or here. Some answers on Berlin. As to the format it should be 20 heats then A,B,C and D finals, each day.
  5. And don't forget Marketa Prague are in the Polish 2.Division
  6. Press release from the 3 north east clubs.Here.Seems the only regs for team building are that one of the 6 riders must be a German U21.And it seems like 2 must be foreign, but no GP riders. Not so sure on the competition name though
  7. No Kev.Think i read that Holsted will have their squad ready somewhere around the middle of feb.Maybe that is the date everything will be finalised. But part of the problem could be waiting for the Elite fixtures.Holstebro will have Bjarne as top rider,so can't ride on wednesdays. They need to find dates that won't clash with Poole fixtures.
  8. Oh no!!!!Subedei has got Schumi now.He is slowly brainwashing the forum
  9. Seen a press release from Saalfelden at they think the Penza meeting will be held in Blagowetschensk(sp?)
  10. I don't want to sidetrack you in your debate but is there any evidence to suggest either the exposure from Sky has benefited British speedway or the GPs have benefited British speedway?.Sure some ex-fans have come back to the sport, but in large enough numbers to offset the fans who drift away.Seems from reading on here there are lots of people who only ever go to Cardiff and that is it
  11. It's not easy to predict on form as most non-Russians have hardly had any meetings. Can we assume Bauer will be back to his top form?He said the poor performance in Russia was down to his leg support. He has a new one now and thinks that will make a big difference. I don't know the breakdown of qualifiers from each meeting, but will guess Östersund Ivanov Bros Zorn Bulankin Skabraut Penza Khomitsevitch Bros Aakko Arkhipov Serenius Laguta Inzell Bauer Krasnikov Bogdanov Svensson Tuinstra Just guessing that Penza has more qualifiers as it seems a stronger line-up.So reserves i guess,Flyktman +Simon Seems that the meeting in Saalfelden has now been moved to Östersund.Training 03.02.Meeting 04.02And looking on the Assen site it seems the line-ups have been juggled a bit as well.Franky is now in Inzell. So my qualification guesses are up the spout a bit
  12. Fixtures at Vojens.Here.Seeems like no 80cc team this year Plus René Bach is named in the 500cc team Slangerups home fixtures(still waiting for the Superliga dates). Here And the Danish 80cc Final is in Skærbæk on 02.09
  13. Yes.He has been riding for Daugavpils.Is Russian(i think from Vladivostok) but changed because of riding for Daugavpils.He has been riding for the past couple of years Ice speedway in Russia.I did think he was going for the Latvian nomination as soon as i saw he wasn't entered in the Russian Championship.I can see him qualifying,but he shouldn't bother the top riders results from season opener in Blago Krasnikov 55 I.Ivanov 50 V.Khomitsevitch 48 P.Tschajka 46 Baraboshkin 46 R.Akimenko 38 D.Khomitsevitch 34 Ivankov 25 Laguta 24 D.Ivanov 22 Kaminsky 21 Tschatchin 18 S.Akimenko 16 Logachev 12 V.Tschajka 11 Amazaspyan 5 A.Ivanov 2 or the Gladyshev memorial D.Ivanov 14+14=28 D.Khomitsevitch 13+14=27 P.Tschajka 14+11=25 M.Baraboshkin 10+10=20 D.Bulankin 11+7=18 I.Drozdov 8+11=18 J.Bazeev 8+10=18 G.Laguta 6+7=13 V.Lumpov 4+7=11 M.Zakharov 6+5=11 M.Bogdanov 7+3=10 E.Krysov5+3=8 S.Arkhipov 5+3=8 A.Samorodov 4+4=8 S.Baltachev 3+2=5 N.Kaminsky 0+5=5 J.Polikarpov 2+1+3
  14. Well i have never been there. But at the local HSV stadium they have standing behind the goals(or maybe just one goal) for Bundesliga matches, but they put seats in that area for European matches.Being a modern stadium they have the flexibilty
  15. Certainly looks like we now have Ice speedway weather in Southern Germany. As well as having it pretty cold in the North as well.Forecast looks cold for the next week also.I have seen a prediction of -15° for thursday night
  16. Well why else would they choose him?Surely not because he was sat outside their offices for days on end begging and pleading to be included
  17. Absolutely.BSI are in this mainly for the money.I doubt very much they care about the health and vitality of speedway in general. It matters to them only that enough interest and money is generated. So they are not looking for the top 15 or 16 ridersThey want the best package of riders. That is where Scott fits in as a vital part of their plan.We can support this or not.I choose not to.I would rather 16 qualified riders rather than a hand picked bunch + a couple of qualifiers
  18. To a certain extent i agree with all 3 points I know from when i used to buy the fanzines that Millwall still have a good number of fans who reside just over on the wrong side of the river
  19. That was why i said legendary Parsloes. Also the fact that hardly anyone has ever heard of the London side who played in one of the biggest stadium in the country.Plus you left out the Lions in your list of clubs there Most definitely in the same catchment area
