  1. Yeah and i'm supposed to know that am i?. Still what ever happens in your family has nowt to do with this,so i don't think it is justified Anyway, slightly off topic, but didn't Kenny have a brother that was going well on superbikes or something.Seem to remember him being the next big British talent.Anyone know what happened to his bike career?
  2. Is the downturn in attendance figures continuing? They do seem pretty poor figures.Just wonder how clubs will be affected having all these top stars and maybe paying wages based on 2005 crowd figures and then a big slump
  3. They were both riding last year.Caused me problems as well.
  4. Quote 1 above Quote 2 below also from Shazzy about another riders off track activities:unsure:

  6. Hey,your right to give your opinion Of course speedway isn't in a great state here compared with other countries. But Germany now has 3 riders in the Elite league. And getting established, not just making up the numbers. And i do think Kevin Wölbert is a great prospect. And must say René Deddens really impressed me at the weekend. Then the attendance at Brokstedt the other week(4,000)was also a great upswing.Just a few years ago it was half that. And the guys who promote the Night of Speedway and Wittstock are doing a great job in promoting speedway. There are some pluses amongst all the negatives.I agree though that the Bundesliga seems to get worse year-by-year.And like you i have heard reasons why this year they were stuck with such a low points limit and that is not good
  7. I guess Teterow were not helped as originally they had named Wölbert,Hlib and Johansson in their side.Might have made it a more even contest if two or more of those had turned up.But this is part of the problem we have in Germany. It's either riders pulling out at the last minute.David Howe supposedly dropped out of the Master of Speedway meeting just before midnight friday.Or promoters are advertising riders who haven't even been contacted,as happened to Smoli recently
  8. And yet another top name beaten by Kevin Wölbert yesterday Gollob! Well done maximum man!!!! Ok,it was only Jacek......

  10. Think you have to question the strength of some countries entries here. Why bother entering a competition if you are going to send B or C quality riders.Germany + Sweden for instance couldn't have taken this competition very seriously. At least Austria and Cz Republic did
  11. Just an update on this.It does appear as if Eurosport are showing the GP live this weekend. Here Hope this is true and they show the remaining GPs as well.
  12. It was supposed to be Tobi Kroner + Sönke Petersen for Germany.Sönke is now out for a few months at least. Not sure who comes in for him.The reserves were listed as Demmel,Kurz,Pudel +Stanek.None of them should trouble the top riders Oops.Just seen i put Tobi Kroner instead of Tobi Busch

Good to see Henning Bager and met Matten Kröger at a petrol station on the way to denmark. Both hoping to get back on track soon.Quote of the day goes to Mads, when i asked how tracks in Denmark are compared to England.Well it's a family forum so i can't put his reply on here
  15. Update on DSL results Holstebro 39 (B.Pedersen 23)-Esbjerg 48(K.Bjerre 13+1,M.Korneliussen 13+1) Slangerup 57(Jesper B 17+1)-Holstebro 30(R.Sola 12) Fjelsted 44(K.Jakobsen 16,T.Jedrzejak 15+1)- Grindsted 42(J.Kristiansen 12+1) Today is a holiday in Denmark and there is an afternoon meeting between Esbjerg + Slangerup. Two of the teams who look strong.I am off soon but here are the line-ups Esbjerg K.Bjerre B.Lyngsø M.Korneliussen K.Jacobsen J.Kikkenborg Slangerup G.Walasek D.Jeleniewski S.Aldén H.Vedel J.Kristiansen DSL info On a sad note.Looks like Nicolai had a fall in his meeting for Team Bikab last night and had to pull out.Think he agravated his shoulder injury.Hope it is nothing too bad
  16. Mmmmmm.I guess the Lonigo wildcard was entertaining. Will Ulamek be either entertaining or competetive?Doubt it
  17. I have an idea that the mistake might have come from the meeting programme,as i have seen him down as Paura Leonidis on another site.
  18. You are right.I just cut & paste from the site.Being pushed for time i didn't double check for any mistakes.Spelling or otherwise

Was told that when they held the WTC Final in the 90s they only got 4,500,so shows what a super crowd it was today.Sadly the racing wasn't too good.Patrick Hougaard had a couple of good races.Passing Katt on the last lap and then passing Kevin Wölbert on the line as Wolbert slowed up!Naturally i am biased, but i thought Kevin was the best rider.Just the one poor heat when beaten by very good Hungarian Szatmari + Hougaard.Lack of concentration at the end.The other riders to impress were naturally Nicolai Klindt and this Polish rider Marcin Nowaczyk(not sure of the spelling but he was in Poznan colours?Anyone know who) Was just a pity they nominated Kevin for the B Final as i was wanting to see him up against Nicolai for the second time But Nicolai is struggling still with his shoulder and was in the First Aid room for quite a bit before the meeting. Photos
  22. It was tongue in cheek as you know.Just the photo they seemed to use on sportowefakty last year made him look like he was about 40-50 years old
  23. So the e.f was irrelevent then.Kevin had him well and truly beaten Another big name scalp so far this season Tomorrow he comes up against Nicolai Klindt.Gomolski was also supposed to be riding as was Hlib.I see Pawel has had to drop out(second time so far this season he hasn't been released by Gorzow,so it seems.Although looking at the line-ups he is in Sweden tomorrow,so a mix up with bookings looks likely).Gomolski looks like he picked up an injury yesterday
  24. Well like i said........ tommy or someone else
  25. In my book that is "getting the better of Holder" as you have to go the distance to get any points.Fall,e.f,exclusion are generally all the fault of the rider or his team
