  1. Yes of course. But it is more the issue of, have the ACU decided to enter this competition, seeing as they haven't before. And then you get the issue of youth development. If the ACU have decided to enter, why enter someone (possibly) from a foreign country.See Woffinden in the U21s.The issue here is a bit different to say,Holta entering the GP qualis through Norway,Ferjan and Hungary or some longtrack riders using a french or swiss nomination, where those countries haven't got enough or any riders of a decent standard. If Nicki has approached the ACU and got them to enter him, then as i said good luck to the lad.
  2. Here is another situation that is very similar. Is he entering as a Dane(because we don't seem to enter this) or as a Brit?
  3. He would be a strange entry for the DMU.They enter their riders into the Nordic round, plus they rely on places gained in last years U21/U19 Final. But maybe your right.Maybe he lobbied for his place. If he did fair play to the lad
  4. Line-up I see a bit of progress has been made and we finally decided to enter into this Just wondering though.Nicki Glanz? How did he qualify?Surely we have stronger U19 riders to enter.I did see him last year in Denmark.Where is he riding this year and how is he progressing? Good luck to him.Looks like he will need a fair bit with the opposition. At least it is a start
  5. Been to 3 Longtrack meetings(i thought i'd not just make my mind up after the first meeting was poor)and agree with you.Not my thing. Good to see Nynke do so well, although that is in part due to the strange system(similar to the speedway GPs i guess)where she didn't do well in the quali heats but won her B Final then came second in the A Final.Sadly i have seen that her sister was involved in a bad crash in a short track meeting Also good to see Matten back on track after his bad crash at the indoor meeting in Kiel
  6. Yes,Dennis Andersson seems to be going well with the move up to 500cc. Who is this Matt Browne for Team Bikab? Can't see him lasting long
  7. I imagine it is the same place.A nice Hotel right in the centre of Veendam.About 30 minutes from Assen.Though funnily enough it is the only trip where the Hotel isn't named. They do name the Hotel for Inzell and Berlin,so maybe they are looking at somewhere else. There were a few complaints about the loud music saturday night, though i was at the right end of the place and heard nothing
  8. Or you can just look here after the meetings have finished.Early hours of the morning when you are here they are at the top of the page. Now you have to scroll down a bit
  9. Funnily enough i just got an application form through from the company i went with this year, for next years Ice Speedway meetings
  10. Taken from the Svemo web-site.The Line-ups for the 2 meetings in Järfälla(26th) and Västervik(27th) SVERIGE 1. Anders Mellgren 2. Oliver Berntzon 3. André Hertzberg 4. Victor Palovaara 5. Pontus Aspgren 6. Jacob Thorsell 7. Daniel Henderson(Tobias Nilsson 27th) Lagledare Pierre Gustafson DANMARK 1. Michael Jepsen Jensen 2. Rasmus Jensen 3. Nicklas Porsing 4. Thomas Jørgensen 5. Mikkel B Jensen 6. Mikkel Michelsen 7. Marc Randrup Lagledare Kristian Lund A pretty strong looking Danish side take on a reasonably unknown(to me)Swedish side.Anders Mellgren is definitely a real talent and has to be among the favourites for the World Title going on his showing last season. But the Danish side is packed with some very exciting kids to look out for in years to come.Jepsen Jensen is pretty well known by now,but Mikkel B and Mikkel Michelsen are right behind him.Any of our Swedish members give any info on the other Swedes.Aspgren was at the YGT last year i seem to remember
  11. Seems like Kenneth Bjerre is the WC.With Jesper B and Morten track reserves
  12. 08/09.03.And i guess the day before for whatever they decide.Golden Spike or something else

  14. I thought Sweden only have 6 places in the qualis. And they are the 6 from this meeting. No others from what i know.Sweden only have 3 places in Motala.Unless others have dropped out or the numbers have been changed.Wouldn't be surprised though Oh and slighty off topic.Anyone know when and where the Polish quali is being held?
  15. Antonio thinks he will qualify automatically then? Shame that riders couldn't even be bothered with this meeting.PK also not there.
  16. Line-up.Can't help with the weather though tommy
  17. I agree with you PolskiZuzel.I have stated that on here already. But for me a few mistakes can be forgiven(although he was saying that he rode in the stadium in Warsaw,so he should have recognised it ),but the most annoying thing was that they were talking about "off track" stuff instead of the great action that was going on,i.e Harris going round two riders Still it seems like it was a one-off as the Eskilstuna GP is not being shown live
  18. On the subject of Eddie. On the 16th June Gorzów will be staging the 10th Edward Jancarz Memorial meeting. Some of the riders in the line-up so far J. Crump A. Lindbäck R. Holta L. Adams J. Hampel W. Jagus T. Gollob Ch. Harris R.Sullivan
  19. Think this is the result from the Holsted site A-Final Mads Charlie Ulrich Jesper.B B-Final Leon Madsen ........................ Henning Bager Morten Risager Jesper Kristiansen Lars Hansen Klaus Jakobsen Jonas Raun Krister Jakobsen Casper Wortmann Peter Juul Anders Andersen Dannie Søderholm
  20. Well as one of the "minnows" Germany have selected Smolinski,Hefenbrock,Kroner and Matze Schultz so far.I would expect Kevin Wölbert to be the last one. With maybe Stange as reserve
  21. You would also have to fancy Kenneth Hansen if someone drops out between now and the meeting.
  22. Ah,but you almost had what you wanted in your grasp. It was only this complete mess with Holsted that caused the big problem That is how close success and failure are.I heard the other week that one of the top 80cc riders in Denmark couldn't afford to make the transition up to 500cc.
  23. I guess the thing is there were no really succesful German riders in England as a "Vorbild".I remember all the talk on Inspeed a few years ago when people were saying riders should go to England. There was the answer "look at Robbie. He has spent years in England and isn't a top star".Now that Smoli,Hefe and Tobi are doing quite well, that might act as a new example for the youngsters. It was interesting to see that Kevin Wölbert wants to go over.Just surprising given some of the riders that have gone that he isn't there already.

And as for Matze......well i asked him on a couple of occasions and he said he wasn't thinking about England. But i do agree,he needs to get over to stop his career sliding away Riding in the Polish 2nd division and the Danish 1st is not going to do him much good.A few years back before his injuries and studies i thought he was the second best German rider behind Mirko.Ahead of Smoli and Hefe
  25. Tommy must have enjoyed that.See Kevin beat Lee Richardson Wish i had gone now,but the weather was terrible here tommy and it is moving towards you.So i would have got soaked going and then met the rain on my way back again
