European Gp Riding Order
iris123 replied to full-throttle's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Mmmmmm.I guess the Lonigo wildcard was entertaining. Will Ulamek be either entertaining or competetive?Doubt it -
I have an idea that the mistake might have come from the meeting programme,as i have seen him down as Paura Leonidis on another site.
-
You are right.I just cut & paste from the site.Being pushed for time i didn't double check for any mistakes.Spelling or otherwise

Was told that when they held the WTC Final in the 90s they only got 4,500,so shows what a super crowd it was today.Sadly the racing wasn't too good.Patrick Hougaard had a couple of good races.Passing Katt on the last lap and then passing Kevin Wölbert on the line as Wolbert slowed up!Naturally i am biased, but i thought Kevin was the best rider.Just the one poor heat when beaten by very good Hungarian Szatmari + Hougaard.Lack of concentration at the end.The other riders to impress were naturally Nicolai Klindt and this Polish rider Marcin Nowaczyk(not sure of the spelling but he was in Poznan colours?Anyone know who) Was just a pity they nominated Kevin for the B Final as i was wanting to see him up against Nicolai for the second time But Nicolai is struggling still with his shoulder and was in the First Aid room for quite a bit before the meeting. It was tongue in cheek as you know.Just the photo they seemed to use on sportowefakty last year made him look like he was about 40-50 years old
-
So the e.f was irrelevent then.Kevin had him well and truly beaten Another big name scalp so far this season Tomorrow he comes up against Nicolai Klindt.Gomolski was also supposed to be riding as was Hlib.I see Pawel has had to drop out(second time so far this season he hasn't been released by Gorzow,so it seems.Although looking at the line-ups he is in Sweden tomorrow,so a mix up with bookings looks likely).Gomolski looks like he picked up an injury yesterday

Well like i said........ tommy or someone else
-
In my book that is "getting the better of Holder" as you have to go the distance to get any points.Fall,e.f,exclusion are generally all the fault of the rider or his team
-
And a very close meeting between Z.G + Wroclaw.Young Wölbert getting the better of Chris Holder.Bit of gossip on the net that Z.G have bought Swiderski.Trying to get some of the money back they wanted to charge 45zl.The natives were a bit restless and manned the barricades. The club reduced the price to 35zl! Whether there is any truth in this we will find out from tommy later,i guess

Yes but Jagus is about 40 years old and doesn't ride in the Elite league

Who Will Challenge Nicki In 2007?
iris123 replied to Bonsai Diamond's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I tend to agree.Just because one rider totally dominates one year, doesn't mean he will automatically do the same the year after.I mean in some sports such as tennis a player can dominate a set,win 6-0 then lose the next one by the same amount.Funny things happen when you start from the beginning again. -
And how did Nicki look last night?Heard he will be doing 8 of the Holsted meetings and Puk 6.Just forgot to ask if he wil be doing the ones against Hans
-
Yes.As ever he looked good. Was only beaten by Klaus Jakobsen(finally saw a good meeting from him ) and Brian Lyngsø(also impressive). Was a very dry and dusty track.Think the riders must have had trouble seeing in some heats. They did decide to water the track after 3 heats instead of 4 early on.Can't really remember any passing but it wasn't a bad meeting. The racing was close.Mads looked good as he should and Hauzinger looked better than i have seen him for some time.A bit unlucky,as he was at the gate and his helmet colour wasn't on properly. The start marshall adjusted it and he was ready to go.In the meantime his team manager ran across the infield and got in front of him so Manuel moved back while the guy adjusted it a bit more and he was excluded for time! Not a happy bunny. Then in his next heat a connection to the spark plug broke. I really don't know how the track can host the European Semi though. It as about the most basic track i have seen.Only 1 toilet,no gates of any sort, although they have renewed the track fence. Photos will follow, but they are renovating the upload mode at the mo

You mean me or the league? There is a meeting tonight in Holstebro. If people are interested i think there are live updates on the Holsted forum. Not sure if they are doing them for every meeting.I thought they were only doing them for the meeting they are involved in.But it seems not As for me.Korskro on saturday for Nicolai Klindts return.Tuesday we have a Bundesliga meeting at Brokstedt(Nicolai again there) then next friday an afternoon meeting Esbjerg v Slangerup. Then saturday i am split between the Master of Speedway meeting or the start of the new Eurospeed Cup(Teterow v Stralsund)

With this system it is hard to say really.Last year there was more strength in depth.Holsted had Nicki + Puk together,so the opposition had to face two top riders. This year there is(or yesterday was)one top rider in each team.It was good that they face each other at least 4 times(can't wait for Nicki v Hans ).So he was definitely the second best rider there and looked good.He beat Ryan once when Ryan was left at the gate and finished last.Other than that he was beating Ryan once when his bike packed up,although Ryan looked like he was swooping around the outside at the time. Was that coz Karols bike was slowing? He is definately one i would like to see again in a stronger line-up. Anyway a good start to the new league.Cameras were there although just local tv,but i heard that the Danish channel DK4 will be showing highlights of league meetings during their GP coverage

Yes your right.Nordhastedt is a British track abroad. It could fit into the middle of Brokstedt Although Güstrow is about the same length it is almost a circle(the way it is ridden anyway).Nordhastedt was built with a British style track in mind.Saying that,i am hoping to get to Wittstock this year which is totally different and is based on Pardubice. And they will be having 6 rider heats as well -
