I thought Sweden only have 6 places in the qualis. And they are the 6 from this meeting. No others from what i know.Sweden only have 3 places in Motala.Unless others have dropped out or the numbers have been changed.Wouldn't be surprised though Oh and slighty off topic.Anyone know when and where the Polish quali is being held?
-
Antonio thinks he will qualify automatically then? Shame that riders couldn't even be bothered with this meeting.PK also not there.

Line-up.Can't help with the weather though tommy

I agree with you PolskiZuzel.I have stated that on here already. But for me a few mistakes can be forgiven(although he was saying that he rode in the stadium in Warsaw,so he should have recognised it ),but the most annoying thing was that they were talking about "off track" stuff instead of the great action that was going on,i.e Harris going round two riders Still it seems like it was a one-off as the Eskilstuna GP is not being shown live

On the subject of Eddie. On the 16th June Gorzów will be staging the 10th Edward Jancarz Memorial meeting. Some of the riders in the line-up so far J. Crump A. Lindbäck R. Holta L. Adams J. Hampel W. Jagus T. Gollob Ch. Harris R.Sullivan

2007 Swc - Who's In For Who?

Well as one of the "minnows" Germany have selected Smolinski,Hefenbrock,Kroner and Matze Schultz so far.I would expect Kevin Wölbert to be the last one. With maybe Stange as reserve -

You would also have to fancy Kenneth Hansen if someone drops out between now and the meeting. -
Ah,but you almost had what you wanted in your grasp. It was only this complete mess with Holsted that caused the big problem That is how close success and failure are.I heard the other week that one of the top 80cc riders in Denmark couldn't afford to make the transition up to 500cc.

I guess the thing is there were no really succesful German riders in England as a "Vorbild".I remember all the talk on Inspeed a few years ago when people were saying riders should go to England. There was the answer "look at Robbie. He has spent years in England and isn't a top star".Now that Smoli,Hefe and Tobi are doing quite well, that might act as a new example for the youngsters. It was interesting to see that Kevin Wölbert wants to go over.Just surprising given some of the riders that have gone that he isn't there already.

And as for Matze......well i asked him on a couple of occasions and he said he wasn't thinking about England. But i do agree,he needs to get over to stop his career sliding away Riding in the Polish 2nd division and the Danish 1st is not going to do him much good.A few years back before his injuries and studies i thought he was the second best German rider behind Mirko.Ahead of Smoli and Hefe

Tommy must have enjoyed that.See Kevin beat Lee Richardson Wish i had gone now,but the weather was terrible here tommy and it is moving towards you.So i would have got soaked going and then met the rain on my way back again

How would that be viable?.I mean how would you compensate riders for loss of sponsorship? If you look most foreign riders have foreign sponsors. Not only Nicki Pedersen, but riders below that like Mads Korneliussen,Kenneth Bjerre,Henning Bager,Kenneth Hansen.During the winter the riders had a big shock when they thought the Danish Superliga had been scrapped. The chances were, without a "top" league they would be losing their sponsors. If you sign a foreign rider and then tell him he must be based in the UK and have no other foreign league commitments how do you compensate him for the loss? Then how do you think the foreign clubs and federations will take to losing their top riders(i guess you only want foreign riders of a certain level)for the season? They might find themselves not picked for prestigious International meetings, and further drain their bank balance

Who Should Ride For The Uk In The Wtc?
iris123 replied to bazaar3's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Think the idea is that you then select the top riders at the Final,as they obviously do well at Coventry -
Thanks Peter.I found my line-up on the Outrup site.Yours is very slightly different.I thought Claus Vissing was seeded direct into the Final.Makes no difference. As long as the weather is fine i will be there.Still undecided about tonight though as the weather isn't too good here. Just checked on the DMI site and the weather looks even worse in Vojens/Esbjerg area so i will wait.Friday and maybe Sunday will do

Jensen Klaus Jakobsen Jesper Kristiansen Lars Hansen Casper Wortmann Mads Korneliussen Dannie Søderholm Anders Andersen Morten Risager Henrik Vedel Jonas Raun Kenni Arendt Larsen Charlie Gjedde Ulrich Østergaard Jan Graversen Peter Juul Which looks pretty strong.I guess they must surely have cancelled the grindsted meeting as all the top riders seem to be here

The young kids from Oz had never been on an 80cc bike before they arrived in Denmark last year Steve. They got there early and got a bit of practice in and surprised everyone. One of the Dads was telling me the trainer(i think it was Clausen)was holding his head in his hands telling the kids "No,You are doing it all wrong!" After two had qualified for the Final, one Danish dad came up and said "How did you mange that?We have been trying for a few years to qualify and not made it" And all that with very little official help from Australia. The attitude of the families and the riders was superb and i do feel it tells you something that they are willing to spend so much time, effort and money to get this done, whereas we haven't entered anyone. Last year there was even an entry from the US and that hot bed of speedway France. -

Great line-up in Vojens Can't wait for this one.It will also save me the hassle of going to Teterow to see Kennett(Bridger is also listed as riding but Eastbourne are on the same night).Plus get to see Lewis,Jurica,Holder,Batchelor and young Gustafsson.Pity Sajfutdinov is in the other semi, but you can't have it all.At least Morten and Nicolai and Kevin are there as well -

Next year Dave, when it is back in Denmark Wish everyone good luck.I know they impressed everyone last year and made many friends.Future certainly looks bright from what i saw last year -
Was good coverage on Eurosport.Guess it was the Sky coverage. Not sure.Got to hear Chris being interviewed without the germans talking over him.Did start late(heat 5) but during the track prep they showed the first few heats.Robert Barth was one of the commentators.Did think he was a bit monotone, talking about something other than the track action while Harris was going round the outside of the opposition! .Plenty of ads for the German GP during the breaks as well. And they did keep saying the GP was in Warsaw and pronounce Leigh's name Lai Adams, but you can ignore some mistakes. Not a bad start

You could be onto something there.I have always felt the Polish federation and clubs interfere too much in the career of their talented speedway riders.1 World Champ from all the talent they have produced must point to some problem.
