  1. Results from Pfingstpokal,Güstrow taken from inspeed.de Meeting stopped after 12 heats because of heavy rain and hailstones(result stands) 1. Kylmäkorpi 9 2. Hefenbrock 8 3. Alden 8 4. S.Andersson 8 5. Bager 7 6. Swist 6 7. Howe 6 8. Kroner 5 9. Hauzinger 4 10. Mell 3 11. Hougaard 2 12. Szatmari 2 13. Jablonski 2 14. Tob. Johansson 1 15. Bajerski 1 16. Re. v. Weele 0 Although speedway.org has the final positions somewhat different. Here The meeting was stopped after the first 4 heats as the rain and hailstones were very heavy.Seems around 70% of the crowd left at that stage, but they got the track in race condition(?) and ran a further 8 heats.Somewhere during this(probably in his first heat)it seems Joonas broke the 5 year old track record
  2. My condolences to everyone close to Michal RIP
  3. I agree with the others. There is an obvious difference between head injuries and bruises or broken bones. Not sure if the medics are allowed to give pain killing injections, but a rider will generally know if the pain is too much or not.But with a head injury the chances of a black out while on track are too much of a risk. And if a rider has vision problems then,well.....
  4. I did notice he had a couple of impressive meetings. He was the best Finnish rider at the YGT last year.I remember him and Palmi. He was riding for Smederna(?) in Sweden last year.Is he still doing meetings there?
  5. Well there was a thread doing just that last night, but was merged into this thread. I sort of congratulated him in the International section, where he has a new web-site mentioned. But i will take this opportunity to congratulate him properly.Well done Freddie and of course Leigh. And hope all the sore riders are back on track quickly.Especially and this is for my own selfish reasons Nicki. As i hope he will be riding wednesday for Holsted against Hans and his Fjelsted team. But then the important first leg of the Danish Final is also only days away
  6. Results of last night Auerhahnpokal,Teterow from inspeed.de 1. Ulamek 12 2. Ferjan 10 3. Louis 11 4. Hefenbrock 10 5. Klingberg 10 6. Zabik 13 7. Smolinski 11 8. Gjedde 9 9. Kylmäkorpi 7 10. Walasek 6 11. Howe 5 12. Schultz 5 13. Katt 4 14. Wölbert 4 15. Edberg 3 16. Watson 0 17. Tob. Johansson 0 Heat details Crowd unofficially reported as 7-8,000 Meeting at Güstrow friday cancelled because of bad weather .Just hope the meeting tonight in Güstrow goes ahead, but the weather is supposed to be bad again.Güstrow have spent a lot of money re-doing the stadium.New floodlights and terracing. They would be hard hit if two meetings, especially their big meeting of the season, are cancelled
  7. Nice one tommy. After tonight there should be plenty to put on the site
  8. He can actually .Given the amount of young Danes in Britain now,it can't be long before Leon comes over as well
  9. You might laugh, but i do believe that a few people wanted Leon Madsen as the Wildcard
  10. Yes.Sorry,i meant if he doesn't qualify(which looks likely)he shouldn't just be replaced by another Brit, unless one has qualified. So don't start the topic of "Who should replace Scott?"
  11. But please don't start the discussion about what Brit should replace him.Because unless one actually qualifies then none should
  12. Yes of course. But it is more the issue of, have the ACU decided to enter this competition, seeing as they haven't before. And then you get the issue of youth development. If the ACU have decided to enter, why enter someone (possibly) from a foreign country.See Woffinden in the U21s.The issue here is a bit different to say,Holta entering the GP qualis through Norway,Ferjan and Hungary or some longtrack riders using a french or swiss nomination, where those countries haven't got enough or any riders of a decent standard. If Nicki has approached the ACU and got them to enter him, then as i said good luck to the lad.
  13. He would be a strange entry for the DMU.They enter their riders into the Nordic round, plus they rely on places gained in last years U21/U19 Final. But maybe your right.Maybe he lobbied for his place. If he did fair play to the lad
  14. Line-up I see a bit of progress has been made and we finally decided to enter into this Just wondering though.Nicki Glanz? How did he qualify?Surely we have stronger U19 riders to enter.I did see him last year in Denmark.Where is he riding this year and how is he progressing? Good luck to him.Looks like he will need a fair bit with the opposition. At least it is a start
  15. Been to 3 Longtrack meetings(i thought i'd not just make my mind up after the first meeting was poor)and agree with you.Not my thing. Good to see Nynke do so well, although that is in part due to the strange system(similar to the speedway GPs i guess)where she didn't do well in the quali heats but won her B Final then came second in the A Final.Sadly i have seen that her sister was involved in a bad crash in a short track meeting Also good to see Matten back on track after his bad crash at the indoor meeting in Kiel
  16. Yes,Dennis Andersson seems to be going well with the move up to 500cc. Who is this Matt Browne for Team Bikab? Can't see him lasting long
  17. I imagine it is the same place.A nice Hotel right in the centre of Veendam.About 30 minutes from Assen.Though funnily enough it is the only trip where the Hotel isn't named. They do name the Hotel for Inzell and Berlin,so maybe they are looking at somewhere else. There were a few complaints about the loud music saturday night, though i was at the right end of the place and heard nothing
  18. Or you can just look here after the meetings have finished.Early hours of the morning when you are here they are at the top of the page. Now you have to scroll down a bit
  19. Funnily enough i just got an application form through from the company i went with this year, for next years Ice Speedway meetings
  20. Taken from the Svemo web-site.The Line-ups for the 2 meetings in Järfälla(26th) and Västervik(27th) SVERIGE 1. Anders Mellgren 2. Oliver Berntzon 3. André Hertzberg 4. Victor Palovaara 5. Pontus Aspgren 6. Jacob Thorsell 7. Daniel Henderson(Tobias Nilsson 27th) Lagledare Pierre Gustafson DANMARK 1. Michael Jepsen Jensen 2. Rasmus Jensen 3. Nicklas Porsing 4. Thomas Jørgensen 5. Mikkel B Jensen 6. Mikkel Michelsen 7. Marc Randrup Lagledare Kristian Lund A pretty strong looking Danish side take on a reasonably unknown(to me)Swedish side.Anders Mellgren is definitely a real talent and has to be among the favourites for the World Title going on his showing last season. But the Danish side is packed with some very exciting kids to look out for in years to come.Jepsen Jensen is pretty well known by now,but Mikkel B and Mikkel Michelsen are right behind him.Any of our Swedish members give any info on the other Swedes.Aspgren was at the YGT last year i seem to remember
  21. Seems like Kenneth Bjerre is the WC.With Jesper B and Morten track reserves
