  1. Results taken from Holsted site 1. Michael Li'Glad DK 15 2. Rasmus Jensen DK 11 3. Thomas Jørgensen DK 10 4. Pontus Aspgren S 10 5. Simon Fischer DK 10 6. Kasper L. Nielsen DK 9 7. Taylor Poole AUS 9 8. Oliver Berntzon S 8 And not a bad prediction from me so far.All the riders i mentioned made it apart from Porsing and Thorsell. The only surprise is that Mikkel Salomonsen made it and Porsing or Schmidt didn't
  2. That is what i find great about the 80cc meetings.Just 4 riders wanting to do their very best.None of the other "politics" that gets in the way,no letting someone else win,no Jokers,no falling to try and get the race stopped. If a rider falls he gets back on the bike and starts chasing(if he/she possobly can) At least Lasse has a rest before the Final.Bit hectic for the riders in the other semi, but they will just get on with it as well.
  3. Well this was my prediction/assesment of the competition that i put on another forum a week or so ago 2001 1.L.Madsen 2.M.Bjørn 3.C.Wortmann 2002 1.N.Klindt 2.L.Madsen 3.C.Wortmann 2003 1.K.Hansen 2.P.Hougaard 3.N.Klindt 2004 1.N.Barret 2.J.Raun 3.S.Andersen 2005 1.S.Nielsen 2.T.Jørgensen 3.S.Andersen 2006 1.M.P.Toft 2.R.Bach 3.A.Mellgren(S) All apart from Anders Mellgren last year being Danish. Now to this years competitors. The top 2 from last year have now moved up onto 500cc bikes.I would make the top favourite for the title Michael Jepsen Jensen. He was the fourth rider in the Final last year.A mini Nicki Pedersen in my eyes.He has one aim when he gets on his bike and that is win.He will go for gaps that don't exist, barge others out of his way.In last years Final he clattered into René Bach(for the second time in the meeting)and got himself excluded. He was absolutely devastated at the prize giving. He currently tops the Danish league averages and led Denmark in a two meeting humiliation of Sweden in Sweden.Unless something goes very wrong he has to finish on the rostrum. From Denmark his main threats will i guess come from 2005 runner-up Thomas Jørgensen,Rasmus Jensen and Nicklas Porsing. All made the Final last year but finished down the field. Two to watch out for and they could really make a big impact are Mikkel B.Jensen + Mikkel Michelsen. They were both too young last year, but they should make the final and could quite easily be on the rostrum at the end.Big,big talents. Also worth keeping an eye on Kenneth Bjerres young brother Lasse,Kasper Lykke Nielsen and Simon Fischer. Of the non-Danish riders Anders Mellgren is a good tip to be the first non Dane to win the thing.A great talent and was slightly unlucky not to win the Final last year.Of the other Swedes, only Jacob Thorsell put up much resistance to the Danes in the 2 test matches. But we could see one or two of the others making the Final.Thörnblom,Palovaara,Berntzon or Pontus Aspgren. The Aussie contingent were the big surprise last year. They hadn't even seen an 80cc bike before they arrived in Denmark. They spent a weekend training up before the Championships, where the Danish coach was constantly telling them they were doing everything wrong.Given no chance before the competition started and no help from the Australian Federation, two riders made the Final! The main surprise last year was Sam Masters.Scoring 10 points,he was only 1 point away from making the A Final itself .He is back along with fellow finalist Darcy Ward. This year top talent Taylor Poole(who was injured last year)must also be amongst the favourites.I think all the Aussies have been putting in some practice at home on 80cc bikes,so we really could see a number of them getting to the Final and maybe a major shock. From the host nation the main challenge will probably come from newly crowned Polish Champ Kamil Cieslar, last years top Pole,Simon Wozniak and Marcel Szymko.I imagine a place in the Final will be reserved for one of the Poles if they don't manage to qualify automatically. As for the other competitors.Well the Russians are completely unknown to me.The French youngster was way out of his depth last year.Maybe he has improved. The Finns and Croatians might be lucky to make the semis. I expect the Final to be dominated as ever by Danish riders, but Mellgren and a couple of the kids from down under could really scare the Danes this time

  15. Didn't Ed Kennett enter in 2003? Is he the only one?Do wonder why, when the young Aussie kids can make it and with some success, that a couple of young Brits don't enter.I mean even the french enter
  16. Ha,fallacy.I often have problems if i use trains or underground.Saturdays + Sundays seem to be the time they do the track works.Trains being late and missing the connection, meant i either had to buy another ticket for the train in an hours time or wait 2 hours for the next train i could use on my ticket.I wouldn't say there is much difference between here and back home.Just luck
  17. So,who has been out changing the road signs around eh? Sabotage
