  1. Is that a surprise?I thought Eric was a Blacksmith through and through. But he was left out of the team for one or maybe two meetings.Has something happened behind the scenes or just that he isn't good enough?
  2. Just as well.If he was Danish he wouldn't be riding in the SWC
  3. Thing is,and Hans pointed this out.The teams that are in todays meeting have a good advantage on getting race practice on the track. My personal opinion though is that Denmark not only have the better riders, but also the best team manager
  4. Thanks Anders.Excellent stuff.i thought you had forgotten about the question
  5. Here is the result of Jades Euro debut(i guess)30.06in Austria 1. hauzinger 17 Pk 2. Magosi 16 3. Kolenko 17 4. FACHER 13 5. Wallner 16 6. Doolan 12 7. Maida 15 8. Szewczjkowski 10 9. Tihany 13 10. Tabaka 9 11. Gregnain 7 12. Petrak 7 13. Franchetti 6 14. Kugelmann 5 15. Anrusiv 5 16. Vargek 5 17. Grögler 4 18. Zmarzlik 3 19. Mudgway 1 20. Baroni 0
  6. Well i manged to meet TMW last night,so that is one crossed off the list Won't be at any GPs this year. But will you be at the Danish Final in Fjelsted?
  7. Wasn't that when some of the Kaspzak family and team members got up to a bit of "mischief" as Subedei would say
  8. And just how was that "What speedway is all about"?As opposed to Vojens being the opposite Explain?
  9. Line-up for this weekends Bundesliga meeting at Olching.Olching have a strong looking team with Smoli,Tobi Kroner and British interest Andrew Appleton. Also interesting to see the track return of Michael Hertrich.Going back to his old home track to take on what he scathingly termed MSC Smolinski
  10. Thanks for the info Tomaz.Very interesting as ever.
  11. I agree there is always an element of risk involved in un-tried riders. By the way, because this came up in discussion last night.......how the hell did Matt Browne get a contract????Was it on a recomendation from Hancock?
  12. Lets face it,both Denmark + Poland could probably field a B side stronger than the States
  13. I guess they are not used to having people apply for citizenship in Hungary.Came as a bit of a shock to them
  14. He hasn't ridden for Hungary in the SWC yet.Why he doesn't ride for Slovenia i don't know.Either he doesn't want to or they don't want him.Tomazpozrl didn't know the answer either last time he was asked.Maybe he has more info now?
  15. No he got slated because it was all a con. What is it now?3 years on and he still hasn't got his passport!!!!!
  16. I agree totally with that. Some of the stuff one this thread about great meeting!!! I did say that would be peoples opinion.Unfortunately i got bored of it after 10 heats and stayed to watch another 5 and it did get better, but not enough for me to stay any longer.GB through, which is great.USA should be made to go through the qualis, like i said a few days ago. That is a disgrace that they field a team like that when others with similar or better have to qualify
  17. Interesting that no-one has signed Tobi Kroner or Kevin Wölbert.Kroner having made the GP Grand Final and Kevin having qualified for both the World U21 + Euro U19(third time)
  18. Same as Hamburg, but without the black cloud and rain If anyone wants more updates on the weather i will be here for another hour before heading down to the Glasgow Rangers pub #spit#to meet the guys and girls on the Travel Plus trip to watch the meeting
  19. Makes a football managers job a lot harder in my opinion. All the choice, trying to get the right combination and cover in all areas in case of injury, etc.A speedway manager just has to ask on of the statistical wizards on here who the 5 best riders are,and Bobs your uncle.Job done.Apart from motivating them(which is Middlos strong point,so we are told)and making the right tactical decisions(which is Middlos weak point,so SCB keeps telling us )
  20. My thought entirely Steve. What does it say about the other 2 top teams if they were defeated by a track? I mean,ok the cancelling of practice might have been a bit of gamesmanship(Stekkers?).If Jan had anything to do with either the cancellation or the way the track was prepared then i take my hat off to the man. That is what a manager should do.I would say prepare the track to your advantage and your opponents disadvantage. But the thing is who did Australia and Poland have out in the first heat?Crump + Gollob! Now they should have been straight back in the pits and told their team mates just what the track was like.I mean if top riders like Adams,Gollob and Crump can be beaten by "lightweight" Kenneth Bjerre what does that say about their adaptability? Like i said it was enjoyed by the Danes in the crowd where i was.And if the same thing happens tonight for Britain, many who were complaining will be saying something like "Well it wasn't the best meeting, but the main thing is we are in the Final".
  21. Well this newspaper seems enthusiastic enough about the meeting.Talking about a return of the dominance of the 80s.Denmark in a class of their own, etc.Great crowd, just big queues for beer and hotdogs Ekstrabladet
  22. And there was a team meeting today.Not sure if this is something new on the calendar.Look forward to it next year if it is I. Dania – 46: 13. Mikkel B. Jensen 8 (2,3,3,u,-) 14. Mikkel Michelsen 5 (2,d,-,3,-) 15. Michael Jespen Jensen 15 (3,3,3,3,3) 16. Rasmus Jensen 8 (1,-,2,3,2) 20. Thomas Jørgensen 10 (3,3,3,1) II. Szwecja – 37: 5. Anders Mellgren 10 (3,1,3,2,1) 6. Pontus Aspgren 12 (3,2,2,2,3) 7. Victor Palovaara 6 (3,2,1,d,-) 8. Oliver Berntzon 9 (1,1,2,2,3) 18. Mattias Thörnblom 0 (t) III. Polska – 18: 1. Szymon Woźniak 10 (2,2,1,3,2) 2. Marcel Szymko 4 (2,1,1,d,0) 3. Łukasz Piecha 1 (0,0,-,1,-,1) 4. Marcin Bubel 3 (0,-,1,1,1) 17. Damian Synowiec 0 (0,0,0,) IV. Australia – 17: 9. Taylor Poole 6 (-,1,2,1,2) 10. Sam Masters 2 (0,2,w,w,w) 11. Todd Kurtz 4 (1,3,d,-,0) 12. Alex Davies 3 (1,-,0,w,2) 19. Clinton Dennis 2 (w,w,2)
  23. Congratulations from me too .3 wind from Li´Glad but two exclusions.Said he is a bit wild.As Peter S pointed out it was a Danish ref as well.Great result from the two Mikkels and this in their first year in the comp.A few years to come from them and Lasse.
  24. To be honest i think most of the Danish fans enjoyed it.Those around me anyway.Particularly everytime a Dane beat Gollob for some reason. In fact i enjoyed the meeting as well.Guess it is different being there, meeting people, watching the Danes trounce the rest Good to meet up with KevH,Joanne,Mr Snackette,Peter S +Udo(though Udo is only a member of the live updates).Didn't manage to find garf,TwoMinuteWarning or Lis though
  25. Fans were not allowed to stand up by the boards, but you can get to the fence after a race. The fact that all the press photgraphers were allowed between the fence and the 2m barrier is a bit crazy though. If a bike or rider does come hurtling at them there is no way they would be able to back out quickly enough.
