  1. Holsteds away win last night at Outrup gave them the title. With Niels being out they made a real coup by bringing in ex-Outrup rider Rune Holta.Alan Marcinowski also managed to get there this time. Not quite sure of the score.Holsted site has it 47-43.Nicolai Klindt has it 47-37. Holsted scores R.Holta 15 P.Hougaard 9+2 A.Marcinkowski 13 H.Møller 7+3 S.Nielsen 3+2 Congratulations to Holsted, but also well done to Slangerup and particularly imo Esbjerg(who tried to keep a constant team apart from injuries)for taking it down to the wire.Hope everyone concerned can look back on a successful season.Attendances were pretty good imo, overall.
  2. That is Egon's opinion as well.He was on tv here last week and they showed the clip.He said a couple of centimetres more and he would have been disqualified.
  3. Holsted 40 T.Jedrzejak (F.x,0,1,3,2,3)9 H.Møller (2,2,2,3,2*,2*,ret)13+2 P.Hougaard (3,3,2,1,6,f.x,2)17 T.Pedersen (e.f,f.x)0 S.Nielsen (-,0,0,1,0)1 Esbjerg 47 K.Bjerre (3,1,3,2*,3,3)15+2 B.Lyngsø (1,1,3,0,3,2)10 M.Korneliussen (2,2,1,2,f.inj)7 J.Kikkenborg (1*,1,f.x,0,1)3+1 K.Jakobsen (3,3,2*,1,1,1,1*)12+2 Holsteds chance of winning the title at home went when Marcinowski didn't turn up and they had to give a late call up to Simon Nielsen. The meeting was held up a bit to allow Simon to get there. But then Jedrzejak took a few heats to get going and young Tommy Pedersen was taken to hospital after a fall.Holsted were always going to find it hard and although they battled away,in the end couldn't even get the bonus point.Nasty looking crash on the home straight involving Mads and Patrick Hougaard.Patrick was slowed down suddenly and Mads ran straight into him at the start of the second lap.Mads did walk off the track, but didn't take any further part in the meeting.Hope both are back on track soon. 4. No you got it wrong.I never infered Tomasz could not perform on any other tracks.Just that his performances on other tracks are not good enough to get him into World Championship winning positions. That has been the case for years now .In the past few years how many GPs has he won away from Bydgoszcz? How many times has he been on the rostrum at the end of the GP season in the past 5 or 6 years? That is the thing. No matter how often he wins at Bydgoszcz it doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things as he will more than likely have a GP or 2 where he just can't/won't get it together and score very little. I doubt there are many fans in the world that don't love to see Tomasz in full flow, but your inference that Tomek had somehow got one over on Nicki.....Well i know who was/will be having the last laugh Oh and i agree with Lupus.I thought it should be all 4 back or Jarek excluded, not Hans
  5. I repeat what i heard because it was said and is therefore relevant. And do you actually read what is posted or just make it up in your head?Where did i say "Gollob doesn't perform well on tracks other than tonights"?The man is a true entertainer and has all the track craft in the world.Just he will retire without ever being World Champ and Nicki will be a multiple Champ.Unless next year they host about 5 GPs at Bydgoszcz
  6. I am not advocating anything.Just repeating what i heard. At least that is what i think i heard. As for "Little Nicki",i think you will find him at the top come the end of the season. You need to be more than the master of one track to be World Champ,ya know
  7. Thought it a similar move to the one by Kenneth Bjerre that ended with a broken arm for Kosciecha.Like Nicki said,if it was anywhere else he might have thought about going down
  8. Can't see why Nicki will be upset with that performance.Couldn't have been much better for him
  9. Pretty boring GP,but that is par for the course. At least Nicki is doing the business yet again But it isn't dangerous,so i wouldn't call it appalling
  10. Aah,glad you liked my suggestion.Much better than a Michanek book, imo As for your opinion on Anders This is Olles opinion "I've always thought you are a mean b######,the meanest b###### i've ever met" Must say that i did like the interview with Anders in Backtrack. He did come across as almost likeable So i would also buy a book on Olle Nygren's career.Great man
  11. Like Matty says,Stralsund and Güstrow are about as far away from Munich as you can get. You'd be better off travelling to Austria or Slovenia But yes,the German speedway season always runs until October. You might be lucky next season. As the German Championship and the U21 Finals are in the north this year they should be in the south next. When and where though, it is far too early to say
  12. Danish 80 cc Final,Skærbæk T.Jørgensen (3,3,3,2,f.x)11 M.Salomonsen (2,1,1,0,3)7 E.Grøndal (R,1,1,2,1)5 J.Bukhave (R,f.x,2,2,0)4 L.Bjerre (3,2,3,1,2)11 A.Nielsen (f.0,R,2,-,-)2 N.Jakobsen (1,0,1,0,2)4 N.Porsing (2,3,3,1,1)10 R.Jensen (3,0,0,1,f.1)5 L.Kragh (f,2,f.x,0,2)4 J.Schmidt (2,2,0,2,1)7 S.Fischer (f,1,0,1,2)4 M.J.Jensen (2,1,3,3,3)12 M.B.Jensen (R,3,2,3,3)11 M.Michelsen (3,3,2,3,3,)14 M.Vissing (1,2,1,3,ex)7 M.Randrup (0)0 E.Nørret (0)0 Can't vouch 100% for the accuracy of the results.Got a bit confused at one point at least.But then so did the woman next to me A-Final M.Michelsen M.B.Jensen T.Jørgensen M.J.Jensen f.ex B-Final L.Bjerre M.Salomonsen N.Porsing f.1 J.Schmidt f.ex C-Final M.Vissing E.Grøndal R.Jensen J.Bukhave Thoroughly deserved win for Mikkel Michelsen.Was a bit lucky though as Mikkel B.Jensen was looking like the winner when Li glad and Thomas Jørgensen clashed and the A Final was stopped.Steady drizzle spoilt it a bit.The best heat for me was heat 5.Jepsen Jensen was leading then Lasse Bjerre passed him.Thomas Jørgensen came hard under Li glad and then chased after Lasse.Must have been inches in it but Jørgensen took Lasse on the line.Was impressed with Jørgensen.Disappointed in Jepsen Jensen Photos
  13. I remember Bob as a bit wacky.Probably only saw him the once(at least i only remember the one time)must have been 73/74.I was waiting in the pits outside the changing room with a mate getting autographs when he came out.Wasn't sure who he was(our plan was ,if they had wet hair, get an autograph )when he,for no apparent reason started calling me "the wizard".He even signed my book "To the wizard",which i still have. One of the riders and one of the incidents that will stay with me.
  14. Will be interesting to see how the youngsters get on.Will the EL boys dominate or will one of the others like Jonasson or maybe even Gustafsson win. Will be following Forsberg,Gustafsson and Dennis Andersson's scores closely. And what about the almost forgotten young star,Andreas Messing? Will he be on the rostrum.Has his progress slowed to an almost standstill? And when is the 80cc final.I see it is on the link, but no-one has mentioned it.Some of are interested in the 80cc guys as well Hopefully,if the weather is ok,i will be at the Danish 80cc final on sunday
  15. I am a member of both forums and also a Nicholls fan He is a exciting rider and we need as many as possible in speedway.I am though not a big fan of the GPs.I would much rather proper qualification rounds every year before the World Title is decided. If 6 or 7 riders from Poland or Denmark qualify then so be it.I don't like quotas. My opinions are not the same as those that run the Weird World, just as they are not the same as the people who run this forum.
  16. Not that hard.I would say Gollob,Jancarz and Plech are all better than Jerzy S
  17. Much rather read a book about Varg Olle Now i am sure he really has a few stories to tell. Was right there at the start of Swedish Speedway and is still involved in the sport today.Truly great rider/sportsman and one of the wildmen from Sweden
  18. Result ofyesterdays Ostseepokal in Stralsund from inspeed.de Final 1. Ferjan 2. Staszewski 3. Klingberg 4. Busch 5. Hougaard 6. Aldén (f.ex)
  19. K-P.Gerdeman won't be there f-s-p.The promoters are expecting him to pay for the travel costs out of his own pocket. While Matten will get his costs payed. So he has decided not to go That is what he has posted on inspeed anyway
  20. Good that he sticks to his principles and doesn't take any crap.If you have a succesful coach with the experience he has you should listen to what he says, not ignore it Remember seeing Marek riding for White City and Poland.was a good little rider
  21. Wasn't(isn't)Peter involved in tuning bikes? Would like to know how they are all doing.Especially Roger, who was a great rider and Dons servant. One of the best club riders i have seen
  22. He was injured before and wanted to see if he could ride in this meeting.Guess he didn't feel 100% after two heats
