  1. Yes i saw that Tomaz.Maybe Sirg Schützbach?Or another German riding on a Swiss licence????
  2. And here is a breakdown of which countries are sending riders/teams where. 2 from the US + NZ in the U21 quali in Norden 1 from Denmark and 2 from Poland though. The quali in Güstrow looks better.2 from GB,2 from Oz,1 from Russia(please Sajfutdinov or Vodiakov-bet he is in Z.G )1 from Poland and 1 from Sweden And only 1 American trying to gain a place in the GPs!!!!!!!
  3. In all honesty i can only see two team that can win at the mo.Poland can win at home. The other likely venues(Denmark,GB + Sweden) would probably see Denmark win.
  4. There won't be room for many others as if they are in,Denmark will have Nicki,Hans,Kenneth,Hougaard,Klindt.....plus GB will have Kennett+Bridger. And i reckon Vodiakov will join Sajfutdinov
  5. Wouldn't it be(maybe) wiser to move the whole thing two weeks later? The scheduling of the German GP caused problems this year forcing the weekend one week earlier and looks like it might do the same next. Holding the World Junior Final in the morning and then the Golden Band in the afternoon could solve a problem. But to hold the Golden Band before the Junior Final might bring howls of protest from riders who are not in the earlier event.Saying others are getting an advantage
  6. Also strange that the German U21 Final is planned for Oct 5th.Surely they must be hoping for one or two qualifiers through to the World Final Jeffster, didn't they run the Team Final, plus the Zlata Stuha on the same day the other year.Maybe they will do the same with the Individual Final?
  7. Thanks.Looks like a certain member of this forum is currently highest bidder. My worry is the seller is absolutely new and would the programme be kosher I thought there are a fair number of fakes in this sort of area.Badges and programmes?
  8. Is there a link to this programme?I have looked through about 10 pages of ebay and found nowt
  9. And i can onyl assume "Davidsson" is some new rider we have yet to hear of? Sweden with 4 riders!!!!You can tell which country Niclas comes from
  10. But i wasn't even trying to come up with what IMG would choose.
  11. Well it is only my opinion and based on meetings in Denmark, but i did see good progress made by Niels this season. And next year i think he will be a World Champ
  12. But Niels has the better average, doesn't he.Plus he managed to get into the GPs without a wildcard Think i would rather have seen Kevin joining a team in a lower league though. His appearances were pretty limited this season.Although he was getting a few junior meetings. But being in a lower league hasn't done Tobi or Christian any harm
  13. Pity about that.I was just asking the other day where are all the German guys trying to get themselves noticed?.We have seen plenty of Danes,Finns and others using the Open meetings.Pity no Germans have been over apart from Kevin Wölbert at Ipswich. And i gather that was through Tobi Kroner putting in a word
  14. Dates are confirmed Not sure what the others think, but i don't bother buying tickets in advance. The attendance seems to have reached its high and there are still plenty of tickets available on the day.The last two years i have got my tickets on the friday while watching practice.Personally i prefer the "Gegengerade"(backstraight)just by the exit from the first/second bend.It certainly is a great place to stand of saturday night with the floodlights on.
  15. Yes thanks from me as well. Although i had seen the confirmed wildcards.I hadn't anywhere seen their surnames spelt out like "HARRIS" <that.Matching the country> GREAT BRITAIN.Great stuff
  16. Well i didn't label him a "no hoper",but i am certainly one of those that was surprised at just how well Tobi went.Throughout the past few years Tobi always done well when i saw him,but never stood out.He would finish 3rd or 4th-ish in the German U21 meetings. For me he was always behind Smoli,Hefe and Matze Schultz at least.Even when i talked to him after the stint with Oxford,he said he wanted to go into the PL.But he proved a lot of people wrong. And one thing you have to say about Tobi is he always seems to have a big smile on his face. It was only a few years back when Smoli started at Coventry there were comments here like "Why sign a German? They have never been any good in Britain!"Well now there are a few making a mark in the EL.And the basis for a decent team in the SWC qualis in the next few years. It will be a real battle again next year for the Gelsenkirchen wild card
  17. And with the U21 Team Final also being in Denmark next year will we see Denmark do the double?
  18. Result from last nights meeting in Dohren Team Germany 37 Team Poland 31(with Matze Schultz!) Team Denmark 21 Team Europe 11 full heat details here Seems to days meeting for the Golden Band in Olching has been cancelled because of Snow! Winter is here
  19. Tend to agree Steve. I must say(and i add i am not a great tv speedway enthusiast)i watched a number of Polish meetings online this year. The large majority were crap. Most,i couldn't make it through till the end.I just turned off.Olsen had nothing to do with the preparation at these meetings. The idea that all Polish speedway meetings are one great heat after another is an urban myth. Things is i feel though.GPs are half a speedway event and half a piss up.Same way as it was when i went to Teterow for the Bergring grasstrack.People are there as much for the whole weekend festival whatever they can get up to on the campsite as the racing.
  20. I get a virus warning when i click on your link Steve Just thought i would say
  21. Well,i am unsure on the Kamensk -Togliatti situation Today it seems there have been suits made up,plus bike covers in Mega-Lada Togliatti colours for "Vitaly" + "Ivan" Here
