  1. And well done Sam Masters. Two impressive results so far
  2. Tongue in cheek of course. But in Germany alone he has been with Güstrow,Parchim/Wolfslake,Teterow and Landshut in the past few years. But there were reasons beyond Christians control for some of those moves Crikey!!!!!!!
  3. Pretty impressive from Sam Masters.I take it he is the same guy who competed in the 80cc World Championship this year and last?Another good youngster making his way up the ladder
  4. I have no doubt. He was very popular at Grudziądz in the few meetings he done for them last year i think
  5. Boy does Christian go through clubs. He doesn't stay in one place too long in England,Germany and Poland
  6. I think you are right on the first point. But only mostly thursday, not exclusively.Same as the Danish League is mainly wednesday, but other days are also used
  7. Think he is saying only one foreign rider per team, per meeting.Command is the translation you end up with from the Russian "team" when i have used online translation stuff

Best not to ask. That normally turns into an opportunity for Grachan to give the link to Egon Müller As much as i like Egon,he can't imo sing for toffee. But he was on the tv recently and started talking about that part of his career and apparently he comes from a singing family. He mentioned his parents and particularly his sister who was supposedly a well known singer.Think he also said he was trained as a singer as well. Then he went on to serenade the woman presenter
  9. Only slightly related. But just came across this guys site.Putting together some info and ariel pics of defunct tracks in Germany.Mainly in the North at the moment.I guess the tracks he remembers visiting.Particularly interesting for me is the track in Hamburg(link no 3).Seems that the coffee firm Tschibo have built on the site. But all the buildings follow the outlines of the track Defunct German tracks
  10. Could try German Speedway fan.If i remember he did go to Saalfelden last time around.Unfortunately because of the weather he didn't see an racing though. But would have had accommodation sorted.
  11. Like you say, does it really matter?Law of averages probably says there should be at least a few Chinese as well
  12. Anyone give me the lowdown on Östermalms?Thinking of maybe going as the flights are pretty cheap with Ryanair. Is it an artificial ice track?Don't want to get there and find the meeting is cancelled because of warm weather
  13. That is what i said last winter. And i think one or two others said the same.Don't believe the hype was really what a few of us were saying. If there are only a couple of teams with big money, why would they need to employ the top riders for every meeting? They wouldn't,because they can beat the poorer teams with their home stars. The only way it would make sense to use Nicki or Hancock for every meeting is if media interest or big crowds were going to be paying out enough to cover it. That is so true
  14. Any results from this yet? All i have seen is that Puszakowski got 7 points.
  15. Well if it is the rider i am thinking of,when i got his autograph he was definitely gay.But only in the sense that he was very happy.Of all the 100s of riders i got autographs of,he is one that has always stayed with me because he was so crazy and friendly.I guess the same with everyone,it all depends on which day or even time of day you meet them.
  16. My guess was right and Berlin will be hosting the German Championship on the thursday. They have finally updated their web-site.Prices now online Berlin Blago is all set to host the opening meeting of the season on the 17th November.A number of foreign riders lined up including Bauer,Svensson,Serenius and Tschatschin.

Donsking is no longer a member here,so it might never be known unless you come across it by accident
  18. Was he one of the riders who were riding abroad during or after the war whilst in the Army?Seem to remember some of the guys were riding in Germany during or just after the war.Was Jimmy one of those?
  19. From a Dons v King's Lynn BL 1966 meeting 1+2 v 1+2 3+4 v 3+4 5+6 v 5+6 2+7 v 2+7 5+6 v 3+4 3+4 v 1+2 1+2 v 5+6 4+7 v 4+7 5+6 v 1+2 3+4 v 5+6 1+2 v 3+4 3+6 v 1+5 1+5 v 3+6 hopefully correct

Here is a classic. The Smiths with Sandie Shaw.Surely you oldies have heard of her Smiths
  21. Mmmmm garf .I don't think you can say that about my list.If you look closely i didn't pick all the riders that had qualified.Plus i picked riders i knew IMG wouldn't choose
  22. It isn't just BSI/IMG though.Look at most of the big competitions and there are riders or in the case of the Junior team comp a team seeded into the final. The U21 World Final the other year for instance in Austria.Fritz Wallner gets eliminated, but still rides as a wildcard in the final.Practically the only competition where the host nation isn't assured of participation in the final is the SWC,i think
  23. But wouldn't the calendar for next year cause problems for the Ekstraliga then? It would mean no meetings on 14th Sept(GP Challenge),21st Sept(U21 Team World Final) and then also 5th Oct.
