We already had a fair bit of snow a couple of weeks back over in the east of Germany!!!!!Just one day.but i saw it on tv and it was fairly heavy

Funny,he was the guy i recognised straight away as well He is the one i always see at the meetings along with another guy who wears a flat 1920s style flat cap and long coat.Looks a bit like a gangster. He was out on the Assen track telling them to sort some things out on the bend,i seem to remember. My guess is that they will all be back at a resurected Kamensk club. The talk of their demise seems premature. The club is back(they have 2 sections up and running.....MotoX or something)but not an Ice Speedway section.Although that is expected to be organised soon-ish

The big news from Russia today is that Nicolai Korneev(56 years old) is making a comeback after 20 years!?!?Now i am not sure on this.I guess this is the Russian rider who rode speedway in the 70s/80s.Can't remember him on ice though. It seems he thinks the riders today are doing things all wrong.Mmmmm not so sure on this
-
I agree with that Steve.I do think there should be more fluidity with the riders.I did say maybe some quali heats before the main event. But i think there should be more movement in/out of riders outside the top few. That would give more chance for the likes of Sajfutdinov,Bjerre,Holder and others to get into the GPs.

If only it was that easy. You say after their performance in one meeting their GP credentials must be in question.OK then.I guess Hans Andersens GP credentials don't need to be qustioned. But on sunday in one of the most important meeting of the year for Wroclaw Hans scored 7+2 from 6 heats.Kenneth Bjerre who didn't manage to qualify for the GPs in the same meeting and for the same team got 15+1(7)!!!!! No-one can maintain super standards throughout the season. Most top riders take on far too many meetings for their own good.Promoters have themselves to blame. How many sportsmen/women have so many high pressure events in so many countries.Puk(only just back from injury)had a very hard meeting in Vojens saturday. Then had another high pressure play-off in Poland sunday and then last night, yet another in Britain. And from that poor performance in such a schedule you question his ability? I was talking about when i have seen him live .Last year in Holsted he was definitely for me not as good as Henrik Moller and Seb Aldén for instance. And on the other few occassions i have seen him live...Oxford,Moorwinkelsdamm and now Vojens i haven't been convinced he is capable enough on unfamiliar tracks.Sure he is probably brilliant at Monmore, but so is David Howe
-
I agree with your assement of Niels. He has impressed me a lot this season.I think he will be better prepared for the GPs next year.Whether he will do enough,i am not sure. Also agree.I would rather have seen Kenneth(and it should have been his day)than Bjarne. And i guess your right about Freddie, but i think he will be another that struggles. So far he hasn't impressed me at all.And i said beforehand that i couldn't see him qualifying from Vojens. And i still haven't seen anything to convince me he will do well

Wasn't there a final with the top 4.That is why Karlsson, who was the top scorer missed out.Seems the FIM have dropped the idea of finals. The FIM Gold Trophy also had no final this year.
-
I guess he got one Although i went from Germany to Sweden, via Denmark without ever having to show any identification.Seems he had a bit of an accident last night show-boating for the fans.Seems his bike got caught up with a cable on the centre green and he had a fall.Didn't continue the rest of the meeting.Hope all is well

Lubos isn't exactly setting Gorzow alight at the mo,either Really weird. One of the guys i was standing with last night was at the U21 final last weekend and said Lubos was shall we say "not very good" then he is almost a world beater and today a poor reserve in the 1.Liga.Funny old game speedway

Put a few photos online GP Challenge,Vojens

Well he seemed happy enough. The Czech fans were on the track and were throwing him in the air as if he won.Wasn't sure about him in the run-off though as he went right across the track on the first bend.Looked like he tried to take Bjarne out to the fence, but maybe he just was a bit wild. But he was really impressive and gave Bjarne a hell of a race. Pity about Kenneth.Think he was very hard done by.Lindgren took him out and he had nowhere to go but into the fence.Should have been all 4 back or Lindgren out imo.The points from that heat would have been enough for Kenneth.
-
Seems at the big meeting earlier today in Ufa,Togliatti were not given permission to enter the league as no-one would relenquish their place.Togliatti were indeed claiming the Ivanov + Khomitsevitch bros in their squad. Not sure what happens now. Ufa conference

Polish Ekstraliga 16th September

Well he might be,Rune Holta like,in the process of changing his nationality Anyway, enough of this Bydgollocks.I'll be hoping Zielona Gora win big time -
My feelings exactly. But i have seen comments.I think Andy valente is one who comes out with that stuff.Of course they are spokespeople for no-one other than themsleves and i don't know where they get it from
-
Practice has been cancelled(again! after the SWC),so that will probably play into the hands of the Danes. I will hope for K.Bjerre Niels Kasprzak But i think despite all the stuff from Poole fans that Bjarne isn't interested in the GPs, that he will knock one of those out of the qualifying positions

Holsteds away win last night at Outrup gave them the title. With Niels being out they made a real coup by bringing in ex-Outrup rider Rune Holta.Alan Marcinowski also managed to get there this time. Not quite sure of the score.Holsted site has it 47-43.Nicolai Klindt has it 47-37. Holsted scores R.Holta 15 P.Hougaard 9+2 A.Marcinkowski 13 H.Møller 7+3 S.Nielsen 3+2 Congratulations to Holsted, but also well done to Slangerup and particularly imo Esbjerg(who tried to keep a constant team apart from injuries)for taking it down to the wire.Hope everyone concerned can look back on a successful season.Attendances were pretty good imo, overall.
-
That is Egon's opinion as well.He was on tv here last week and they showed the clip.He said a couple of centimetres more and he would have been disqualified.

Holsted 40 T.Jedrzejak (F.x,0,1,3,2,3)9 H.Møller (2,2,2,3,2*,2*,ret)13+2 P.Hougaard (3,3,2,1,6,f.x,2)17 T.Pedersen (e.f,f.x)0 S.Nielsen (-,0,0,1,0)1 Esbjerg 47 K.Bjerre (3,1,3,2*,3,3)15+2 B.Lyngsø (1,1,3,0,3,2)10 M.Korneliussen (2,2,1,2,f.inj)7 J.Kikkenborg (1*,1,f.x,0,1)3+1 K.Jakobsen (3,3,2*,1,1,1,1*)12+2 Holsteds chance of winning the title at home went when Marcinowski didn't turn up and they had to give a late call up to Simon Nielsen. The meeting was held up a bit to allow Simon to get there. But then Jedrzejak took a few heats to get going and young Tommy Pedersen was taken to hospital after a fall.Holsted were always going to find it hard and although they battled away,in the end couldn't even get the bonus point.Nasty looking crash on the home straight involving Mads and Patrick Hougaard.Patrick was slowed down suddenly and Mads ran straight into him at the start of the second lap.Mads did walk off the track, but didn't take any further part in the meeting.Hope both are back on track soon. No you got it wrong.I never infered Tomasz could not perform on any other tracks.Just that his performances on other tracks are not good enough to get him into World Championship winning positions. That has been the case for years now .In the past few years how many GPs has he won away from Bydgoszcz? How many times has he been on the rostrum at the end of the GP season in the past 5 or 6 years? That is the thing. No matter how often he wins at Bydgoszcz it doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things as he will more than likely have a GP or 2 where he just can't/won't get it together and score very little. I doubt there are many fans in the world that don't love to see Tomasz in full flow, but your inference that Tomek had somehow got one over on Nicki.....Well i know who was/will be having the last laugh Oh and i agree with Lupus.I thought it should be all 4 back or Jarek excluded, not Hans
-
I repeat what i heard because it was said and is therefore relevant. And do you actually read what is posted or just make it up in your head?Where did i say "Gollob doesn't perform well on tracks other than tonights"?The man is a true entertainer and has all the track craft in the world.Just he will retire without ever being World Champ and Nicki will be a multiple Champ.Unless next year they host about 5 GPs at Bydgoszcz
-
I am not advocating anything.Just repeating what i heard. At least that is what i think i heard. As for "Little Nicki",i think you will find him at the top come the end of the season. You need to be more than the master of one track to be World Champ,ya know
