  1. Here are the averages for this season.Leon is no.39.Not bad really.Near Vissing and Bager who done well in the PL and above Klindt. But hasn't really lived up to that early promise
  2. Yes i noticed I use these.Mostly in a combination if i don't get a reasonable result from one http://translation2.paralink.com/ http://www.worldlingo.com/ http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Sometimes i just translate a block of text.Other times i translate a whole page from the Russian forum.
  3. Yes,i think Roman Akimenko always comes out as Novel Akimenko.Points always come out as glasses. When i saw that at first i wondered why a rider had received 12 glasses!!!!! Some translators are better than other, but you still end up with funny things you have to try and work out yourself. There seem to be limtis on how many word or on web-page translations they sometimes only translate half the page. One translator(Intertran?) doesn't want to translate riders names at all
  4. You always get Seagulls for Tchajka no matter which web-site you use.Same with a couple of other riders.Plus i think it is Wiatskie Polany that comes out as Green Glades or something strange
  5. You are forgetting Conkers that Baraboshkin seems to do very well in this meeting, then goes downhill from here. Not sure why.If it is down to the track or his fitness.Once the others get race fit, perhaps he gets left behind Good to see Bauer and Tschatschin doing ok. And looking at the heats something must have happened to Krasnikov as he finished behind D.Ivanov and M.Krekau plus the other rider was Laguta who didn't start Edit:Have just seen that Krasnikov was excluded for crossing inside the line
  6. But the question is for who will the Laguta brothers ride for?Russia or Latvia? I hope Russia make the U21 Team Final next year so i can see Sajfutdinov,Wodiakow and Artiom Laguta in Denmark
  7. I don't think the question was for you,but for toonarmy084.Spanner,meaning mechanic i.e helping out in the pits with the bikes.
  8. That is why i go up to Denmark so much It looks very much like the line-up for last years meeting. But i guess two things happen.First the promoter uses his own riders.Schultz,Haupt,Busch,Kowalski and Hougaard are all Stralsund riders.Sekula is sponsored by some of the people over there as well.Plus you get a group of riders who you can trust will turn up and put on a good show. There is nothing worse than seeing riders in the line-up and when you get to the meeting they are not there. It is the same with though with the Sievers family and how often they have Tero Aarnio in their meetings And of course Güstrow have a friendship with Holsted while Brokstedt have the same sort of thing with Outrup. So you will often get their riders at meetings.Gjedde,Bager and now Klindt at Brokstedt for instance. But like you say,a lot of fans ask "why always the same riders?"At least next season we will have a few FIM/UEM meetings where we will see different riders
  9. Line up so far for the last speedway meeting of the year other than indoor meetings. The Nikolauspokal at Stralsund 01.12 Mathias Schultz (Germany) Jernej Kolenko (Slovenia) Tobas Busch (Germany) Rafal Kowalski (Poland) Roberto Haupt (Germany) Manuel Hauzinger (Austria) Danny Knakowski (Germany) Jesper Kristiansen (Denmark) Marcin Sekula (Poland) Patrick Hougaard (Denmark) And on the 8th is the Night of Speedway at Neustadt/Dosse Line-up
  10. According to the MC Güstrow site the teams for the Euro U19 meeting at Güstrow 22.03 are Germany,Denmark,Croatia and France
  11. That news won't go down well with the Bydgoszcz vultures circling round
  12. You might be right.Just in the list a certain Jimmy Gooch was the winner in 1949.As it happens on Britishpathe web-site there is film of Jimmy Gooch winning at Hanover.Wonder if that is the meeting listed?
  13. Thanks for that.Sounds like an interesting book.I thought the Army speedway guys were former or future professionals.
  14. Very good young rider.Looked impressive when i saw him at Güstrow
  15. Thanks Ghostwalker.ast time i heard about Bosse,he was a taxi driver in Eskilstuna.Good that he is still involved in speedway as well
  16. What is the news with former Wimbledon rider Bosse Jansson? One of a number of Blacksmiths that rode for Wimbledon
  17. Where they went? Crash Callaghan Wielka Brytania - 11 Bas Shepard Wielka Brytania - 10 Skid Fookes Wielka Brytania - 9 Dennis McDermott Wielka Brytania - 9 Smud Smith Wielka Brytania - 9 Ace King Wielka Brytania - ? Jimmy Ireland Wielka Brytania - 6 Warren Leather Wielka Brytania - 6 Flyer Jones Wielka Brytania - 5 Buck Thompsett Wielka Brytania - 5 Olly Elliot Wielka Brytania - 4 Dave Thompson Wielka Brytania - 4 Splash Fountain Wielka Brytania - 3 Nobby Clark Wielka Brytania - 3 George Boughton Wielka Brytania - 2 Zip Zammitt This is the result of the/a German Championship in 1950.Where these guys went?Who are they Results
  18. Thanks for the info And this was the web-site i was thinking of. Very good World Speedway
  19. It is the same thing all over with speedway.I know one club wanted to run the end of season medal giving meeting in Denmark. The DMU gave it to another club.A while later the other club said they didn't want to run the meeting. Then the DMU came back and asked the first club, who said yes,as long as you give us the Danish Final as well What is the best meeting/track to go to in the Netherland.Hopefully near the German border Yes.I asked a couple of years back why Matej Zagar was never in any of the open meetings in North Germany. That fixed sum was the problem so i was told
  20. No.A suggestion My SS collection is a very long way from being complete There was a Polish guy who was here and had a web-site with lots of results.Lists of all Danish,Polish Swedish league and individual champs.Anyone have a link?
  21. But have you lost Blijham? What is happening there?
  22. Denmark has a joint U21/U19 championship.Plus Speed Club run their own competition for seniors,U21 and an 80cc version. Not sure how easy it will be to find previous winners. If you remember it was hard enough finding the results of the Anniversary meeting this summer There used to be a big open meeting the Gold Bar.You might have to get someone to go through all their old speedway stars to find all the results Was talk a couple of years back of holding a Danish Open Championship, but that needed tv involvement to get off the ground and didn't happen
  23. I think most countries have their own U21 championship, not just Sweden In Germany the qualifiers are split into a North and a South group. And there are a number of open events.Maybe not as big as the Czech Golden Helmet. The most significant attendance wise here in the north is the Auerhahnpokal at Teterow. It attracts a crowd of 6-8,000.Mainly because it is held the same weeknd as the Bergring grasstrack event at Teterow. But Brokstedt are celebrating their 25th anniversary on the 22.06.2008 so hopefully that will be a decent meeting
  24. Thanks for the info. A snippit from the Peter Morrish book on the Speedway leagues 46-64 one Sverre's debut season with the Dons "...Sverre Harrfeldt, the Norwegian champion, revived the flagging spirits and at the same time upset some opponents with his forceful efforts"
  25. I don't have any stories or stats on Sverre.I do have a photo though,to put a face to the name S.Harrfeldt
