  1. Germany have made the shock(to me anyway) announcement that 23 year old Pfaffenhofen rider René Schäfer will be the new German team manager for both senior and junior sides!Follows on from ex World Longtrack Champ Robert Barth who didn't see eye to eye with the DMSB by all accounts
  2. Just read that Tobias Johansson has retired.Anyone have confirmed info.Seems he might become team manager of Lejonen
  3. Is this "small Extra league"only for Polish juniors or all juniors at the club?.Erik Pudel and Kevin Wölbert rode in a junior competition last year. Will Kevin be allowed in this?
  4. Hasn't Jeleniewski had a bit of trouble with Rybnik?I thought he had agreed terms with them and then pulled out at the last minute. And they want to take the matter to the authorities?
  5. For you maybe and on a Polish track, but in Denmark i would much rather see Nicki or NKI But i will say he should be a good replacement if both are unavailable.Which hopefully won't happen now
  6. Yaaaaaaaay!I can make it to Gnistorna from here I have been there before and as long as they haven't changed the bus route i might be able to make a meeting next year
  7. Reading the recent interview on WWoS with Davey Watt he said the Australian Championship was the qualification for the GP quali's.So given that the likes of Ryan and Rory are not in the Oz Championship does that mean they won't be going for GP qualification next year? Pity for the fans down under. When you look at that line-up compared to the Polish or Danish Championship there is a distinct lack of top riders
  8. Thanks Norbold.That was a close one.
  9. A few British winners Auatralian Championship
  10. Norbold,if you have all the other details from that season, could you maybe give the heat details for the St.Austell meeting on 04.06.1963.I have the programme but it isn't filled in and i don't have the relevant SS
  11. Yes,sorry norbold.Reg was in the programme at no.6.He was replaced by Eddie and Eddie swapped with Terry Stone. So Stone rode at 6 and Eddie at 7.Or Stone replaced Reg and Eddie moved into the no7 spot
  12. Any idea how many meetings he will be doing then?He could be a good signing at that grade
  13. So who has signed for Outrup may i ask?
  14. Looks very professional, even got their own workshops.Reminicent of the British teams from the 1930s.I guess this is where Togliatti are holding Ice Racing as well.Having got the Khomitsevitch and Ivanov brothers from Kamensk-Uralski.They couldn't get a place in the top Russian league,so are competing in the 2nd league and the junior championships. As i posted and f-s-p also there have been strong rumours for more than a year about them hosting the GPs in this stadium. Very impressive
  15. As i posted a while ago,it seems more than just a rumour that Svens sister Jordine will be doing some racing.Whether it is anything more than a training camp remains to be seen. This was reported in the Bahnsport-Aktuell with quotes from their father. So it would seem fact rather than rumour
  16. In my programme it is Eddie, who has replaced the printed Reg and moved from no.6 into the no.7 spot.
  17. Yes,i think Holsted will be very strong again. The trouble is the success of their riders could cause problems with availability. If Hougaard,Møller,Raun are all in the Premier League they might be unavailable for Holsted.Henrik and Patrick are very important to the side.Especially Henrik who is really an A grade rider at Holsted for instance.Obviously they lose the advantage of Simon Nielsen and Tommy Pedersen at D grade. That will be the important spot.I think Michael Vissing might be in there.Lubos Tomicek is in the squad but he might be unavailable on wednsdays as well,as i think Czech meetings are on then.Damian Balinski is also in,but would much rather see Nicki or Niels as no.1 Just to add that the availability of riders for all teams will be very important though. Not just for Holsted
  18. In my programme the result is 35-43.Not sure where it has gone wrong. And adding up the individual scores it also comes to 35-43
  19. I have a programme with different heat results.Though i wasn't there and didn't fill it out 1.Squibb,Adams,Hockaday,J.Dugard 3-3 2.Pratt,B.Dugard,Stevens,Bodie(e.f) 3-3(6-6) 3.Jarman,Penniket,Harris,Stone 2-4(8-10) 4.J.Dugard,Adams,Sharp,Reeves 3-3(11-13) 5.Pratt,Penniket,Sharp,Stone 2-4(13-17) 6.Adams,Stevens,B.Dugard,Hockaday 3-3(16-20) 7.Squibb,Jarman,Harris,J.Dugard 3-3(19-23) 8.Stevens,Sharp,Bodie,Reeves 3-3(22-26) 9.Adams,Penniket,Hockaday,Stone 2-4(24-30) 10.Jarman,B.Dugard,Stevens,Harris 3-3(27-33) 11.Pratt,Squibb,J.Dugard,Bodie 3-3(30-36) 12.B.Dugard,Sharp,Penniket,Hockaday 4-2(34-38) 13Pratt,,Jarman,Squibb,Penniket(e.f) 1-5(35-43) And even the Late Night Final is different Jarman Squibb Pratt Adams So,i hope whoever filled in the programme wasn't making it up or looked at the wrong meeting
  20. Fjelsted A-grade Hans Andersen Sebastian Ulamek B-grade Claus Vissing Klaus Jakobsen Manuel Hauzinger Maciej Piaszczynski C-grade Casper Wortmann Peter Kildemand Rene Bach D-grade Nicki Barrett Thomas Irming taken from speedwayzone.dk Not much change here and i can't see much improvement from Fjelsted next season.Ulamek for Jedrzejak is a better move, but they will still be weak when Hans isn't there.Piaszczynski looks a good young rider, but how will he do on the Danish tracks? Wortmann is one of the best C grade riders(hard to believe he has been moved down) and young René Bach moving up from D grade is one to watch.2004 80cc World Champ Nicki Barrett will do ok at D grade again, but isn't improving at all from what i have seen. Can't see them challenging for the top spots
  21. Todays meeting at Stralsund was cancelled due to bad weather.Lucky i chose to heed the weather forecasts and not travel Track photos
  22. It seems that all the teams will be back again next year to compete in the Danish Speedway League.Even getting squads sorted out early. The one problem as Peter S pointed out on another thread is the grading system.Seems Henrik Vedel has made the decision to retire as he was moved up from grade C into the grade B category. And as Nicolai Klindt pointed out in his interview on here the system can force riders to sit it out on the sidelines as the team can only use a certain amount of riders from each grade. Two squads have been announced so far, plus Holsted have their Danish riders signed up plus a couple of Polish riders. Esbjerg A-grade Kenneth Bjerre Adam Skornicki Norbert Kosciuch B-grade Mads Korneliussen Brian Lyngsø Tobias Busch C-Kører: Krister Jacobsen Johannes Kikkenborg D-grade Bjarne Nilsson Karsten Højhus Michael Palm Toft(2006 80cc World Champ) Good strong squad all the way through.Obviously relying on KB to do most meetings as i can't see Skornicki or Kosciuch being good replacements. But Brian Lyngsø was one of the riders of the season for me and alongside Mads are a very strong B grade pairing. And both Krister Jacobsen and Johannes Kikkenborg impressed.Remains to be seen what M.P.Toft can do as i hardly heard about him this year Slangerup A-grade Jesper B Jensen Grzegorz Walasek B-grade Kenneth Hansen Morten Risager Ricky Kling Jernej Kolenko C-grade Dannie Søderholm Carsten Hansen Matej Kus D-grade Jesper Kristiansen Michael Melchiorsen Another strong squad and a title challenging one at that.Lot of strength in depth here.Jesper was 4th in this seasons averages(can't count Ulamek's one appearance really). And looking at their grade B riders it is obvious why Henrik was forced out.He wouldn't be able to compete for a team place against Kenneth or Morten.Couple of good replacements if the others are unavailable.Søderholm will be a good C-grade signing from Holsted, plus what looks to be a coup in getting exciting young Czech rider Kus in on a C-grade.The other Jesper Kristiansen and young ex-Vojens title winning 80cc rider Michael Melchiorsen should do well at D-grade.I wonder if Peter S is happy with that squad? I see the Grindsted squad has also been announced from speedwayzone Grindsted A-grade Rune Holta Kaj Laukkanen B-grade Kyle Legault Freddie Eriksson Henning Bager Jesper Kristiansen C-grade Anders Andersen Peter Juul Larsen Sönke Petersen D-grade Kalle Greve Paw Mikkelsen A much improved squad on last year with Rune and Kyle Legault as well as Kaj Also have some very good Danish youngsters in the C-grade(i imagine) in Anders Andersen and Peter Juul Larsen.Sönke is good back-up for the two,on his day.The D grade riders might be weak though. The question is,can Grindsted improve on their 7th place this season?
  23. Think you are right.I have a Hackney photo with a rider in green, but don't know who it is.Schofield,Galvin and Whittaker are in the same photo There are a few riders who wear green here in Germany.Kevin Wölbert for one and i think Okoniewski also wears green.Might be to do with the Boll sponsorship
  24. Seen a few pics of Ole Olsen with early sponsorship. He had an Ole Olsen-Duckhams body colour on in one of Briggos books taken in the early 70s(70 or 71 i think).Plus i have a couple of pics of not only him but Finn Thomsen with Jawa on their leathers.Maybe Finn was wearing an old pair of Ole's.They are from 73-74.Also i have a pics of Garry Middleton in 73 with Lewis(i imagine Lewis Leathers)on both arms and just underneath is what looks to be the Shell emblem. Not so sure when Sparshott was wearing white leathers but there were quite a number with white leathers i think.Maybe not mayn with green leathers but Ray Morton had green leathers in his Wimbledon days.Seem to remember Peter Collins having very colourful leathers(often changed)during that 73-76-ish.Maybe my memory is not so good but i thought he had some with green in there as well.Sort of multi-coloured thick bands
