  1. Well i did say "no injuries" and apparently what with the mild weather,Bauer felt the track wasn't at it's best. One or two others pulled out as well Someone put a couple of heats from friday on
  2. Yes well done Mark I said it looked a very even and competetive field.Glad to see him going well.Something must have happened to Heinz Göldi though.Didn't he win this a few years back? Günther to win tonight. But main thing, get through without any injuries!Hoping to see a good performance from Dmitri Tschatschin as well
  3. No Hungarian riders so far?I guess Magosi and Tabaka etc will also sign.Pity if these teams just end up using mainly foreign riders and not homegrown. One or two top riders i can understand.
  4. A Dutch programme on Ice Racing from Assen and the Roleof Thijs Cup from last year by the looks of it. Assen
  5. I thought he might, and could expect Puodzuks to be there as well. I see on Patrick Hougaards site that he has also signed for Diedenbergen
  6. Polish rider Marcin Nowaczyk has signed for Pfaffenhofen.Looked pretty good last year in Germany.Had a couple of good meetings for Neuenknick and went well at Moorwinkelsdamm.Seemed to struggle in Poland riding for Poznan though.Maybe the Bundesliga is more his level or maybe a move back to Rawicz will help Talk also that Matze Schultz will move to Wolfslake.Back to the team he won the Bundesliga with back in 2004 when they were the joint Parchim/Wolfslake team
  7. Be interesting what he thinks promoters should do in a wet track dispute.Common knowledge i think that Ole thinks meetings should go ahead unless the track is totally un-rideable.But what is un-rideable?He is obviously one of the best riders ever,so has more ability than most.Plus in Denmark they ride in conditions that probably wouldn't be considered in Britain. At least at junior level. But the thing to ponder is why training for international meetings is often cancelled at Vojens?
  8. Well Grigorij Laguta, who was the Latvian GP wildcard rider, plus they have just got Kjastas Puodzuks back and also signed Lagutas younger brother Artiom.Plus Piotr Swist.A few Latvians and a few Russians. Not a bad side, but not outstanding.Laguta did look good in the Latvian GP though.
  9. What do you want to know? You could try a pm to Stomat, who is from Daugavpils. If you are after detailed info
  10. I was thinking exactly the same thing.Just thought both songs shared the same music It was only that i decided to inspect the site further that i saw a link to "Marching along together".Didn't get to hear the tune though as it never seemed to buffer up or whatever it is these things do
  11. Just the rain hitting your windows. The other day my windows were rocked by a bomb blast!!!!!! Workmen dug up a WW2 bomb. The bomb disposal experts took it onto an island in the Elbe and set it off and it was heard all over the west of Hamburg.Wondered what the hell it was.Went in and asked my girlfriend if she heard it and typical woman, she heard nothing If i open a pack of sweets though she is straight in
  12. Must say that the Hackney Kestrels side was a great side to watch.Paul Whittaker was one of my favourite riders at the time, when he could regularly get double figures from the reserve spot. You definetely missed some great speedway
  13. I agree with Parsloes Same when the Dons moved to Eastbourne. It wasn't the same.It certainly wasn't my club, just because they were called the Dons and had Wimbledon riders in the team.By the time i went to Eastbourne they were called the Eagles again.Which is what they were in the first place imo
  14. Any idea what happened.I guess arson as there is a telephone number Didn't you see the second day online f-s-p.That was a cracking meeting with at least 4 fantastic heats plus an amazing bit of skill from Bulankin. If day one was as good then it really must have been a super weekend. There was a preview on bashinform.ru that said it was just about the hardest meeting of the season. No easy heats or opponents. And the way the weather is going this side of the continent and the professionalism that Togliatti seem to be bringing to both speedway and iceracing it could be tougher in future for western riders to compete with the Russians.I guess the only hope is that more money and clubs follow Togliatti and maybe, just maybe a few western riders could get a team place somewhere in Russia
  15. Done the trip myself on the train and i am almost 100% sure it took about half that time.Get the train to the airport and Malmo is about 2 stops after that.Maybe an hour from Copenhagen City Centre to the track. I guess the morning of the GP might attract a few coming over from Sweden.Although i doubt a meeting of that level will attract many. The other year they held a 80cc test match between Denmark and Sweden then at the track in Copenhagen.
  16. Yes.Didn't you read my interview with Martin Smolinski? Last year there were a number of injuries.Matten Kröger being the worst. He was out for about 4 months.I met him at a petrol station on my way to Denmark in about May and he was still hobbling fairly badly.Tobi Kroner also broke a couple of toes and a couple of other riders had to have treatment. That is why i asked Smoli about the meeting and if he knew what the surface would be.I am fairly sure(although it was a long way back now) that one of the riders told me during the proper season that they were totally unprepared for that surface and didn't have tyres to suit it! Smolinski interviewScroll down to the bottom
  17. Thanks guys and thanks to Mark for agreeing to it and for the great answers Even i am a bit stunned at how long it takes to do a back tyre See the heat details from Saalfelden.Franky had a big crash in his first heat. Then won his other 4 heats plus the run-off on his reserve bike!
  18. Tschatschin qualified for Inzell in just his second meeting back in 2005.Although then there were quali's before the semi's.Plus i don't think Max Niedermaier had much more than that(if any more)when he qualified for the GPs last year
  19. You're just trying to add posts to lower my average!
  20. Not a lot happening as far as i can tell.A few signings been made The rider who surprised a lot of people in the Polish Final last year,Jeleniewski has signed for Diedenbergen.Plus it has been announced that Manuel hauzinger has signed for Olching. But one of the agents here and the guy who worked with Manuel at Wolfslake announced Manuel has signed for Pfaffenhofen. So who do we believe?I know there was a bit of this happening last year. With Wolfslake announcing they had signed Pawel Hlib and then Teterow doing the same. Big rumour is that Stralsund will not participate in the Bundesliga, but they haven't updated their web-site for about a month since announcing it was "no end of chaos in the Bundesliga" so we await confirmation of that If they don't participate Matze Schultz is expected to be back at Diedenbergen
  21. Well i did get the 6 right.Just not in the right order That is a big improvement for me. Well done Dmitri Tschatschin! And i see Germany have announced their team for Krasnogorsk G.Bauer D.Tschatschin M.Niedermaier Surprised no Stefan Pletschacher after this weekends performance, but there you go.Bring the youngsters on
  22. It is ok in theory, but i doubt Denmark would want 2 GPs and Norway was a bit of a flop and Finland well I don't know why they keep going at Lonigo.Maybe they get some good sponsorship or the local promoters pay well. But i do think the series will expand elsewhere in the near future with Russia and probably Malaysia or one of the other Asian countries Ivan Mauger said he has had interest from hosting one or two. Then unless Sweden and Poland are paying good money they will probably be down to one GP.Unless Mr.Know knows better
  23. I thought Krasnikov is riding in Inzell? My tip providing Krasnikov isn't there 1.Franky 2.P.Tschajka 3.D.Ivanov 4.H.Simon 5.G.Laguta(if he rides) ................... 6.D.Tschatschin
  24. Best bet is to run it on British tracks. Australia footie team have played a few games in England haven't they because it is easier to get the team together
  25. It is great to see Posa still able to compete with the Russians at 59! And that was an important win for Klabo over Pletschacher in the last heat
