  1. Well if their immunity has already dropped then they do. But the immune response has been reported as varied but you have to winder at reports of 9 months to a few years. Let’s just hope it is enough to get out of this chaos once and for all
  2. Not seen those Phil. Must admit I was surprised at 3 months, but never really thought about how long a vaccine works.......I do agree with that last bit. We all need some good news and I was looking forward to the 2020 season. Now try to focus on 2021
  3. No. That is why I said 'supposed'. But estimations are for something like that time period.
  4. It must surely be a worry though that immunity from the vaccine is only supposed to be around 3 months. So anyone getting the vaccine this month might not have immunity by the start of the season.....? Just a thought
  5. Yes. I put the Buffalo Stadium clip on here a few years back now Just thought i'd look yesterday to see how the film got on and found the whole film was available and wondered if I had missed it before
  6. Watched the film online. Was it always there ? But quite interesting, with some info that was unknown to me about his time in the US at least. Sadly no new film of him in action, and did wonder what the old stock film of board racing was doing in there. Nice to see one of the last pics of him looking well. As ever, always seems sad looking back that nobody had a thorough interview with him in the 70s.....and hope he finally gets into the Portland hall of fame
  7. For me the sport is very good when run well. That generally means Russia. They have the equipment, the know how and the riders to make a great meeting. Normally the Russian Final(s) are the highlights. But when you see the group of tractors out on the track they do a super job and the riders are fairly even through the card, give or take. The Euro meeting is always a bit hit and miss because of the difference in class. Yesterday the riders were strung out after the first bend and very few had the ability to make up much ground. I did make the mistake probably of watching a Russian stream of the meeting, with a monotone talk over by some Russian guy, and when away from my laptop I couldn't tell if a race had started or not......and so I kept looking back and it was still track prep !!! I thought at Longtrack in particular they had extra long breaks to get as much money from food and drinks, but there was no real excuse yesterday. Not sure what the polish tv company thought about it all
  8. Must admit I gave up after 8 heats. Only saw one interesting heat and the track prep seemed to take forever.....was it just rustiness, but Zorn looked well off his top form and Bauer looks as if he hasn't really improved much at all....
  9. Yes, Funk, Pilotto and Bossner are names that come to mind
  10. I suppose you are also eagerly waiting to get your plans drawn up for next season ? Or do we know them already .... let me guess. Stay at home and put the sport down, yet again ? Am I warm ?
  11. I know some of the north german speedway riders have been out on the lakes when they have been frozen enough. Not in the last few years though
  12. Do you manage to get it in Penge, after all you are such a vital supporter of modern speedway, not having attended a meeting for about 15 years and no intention of doing so in the future. Sure all the tracks in 2021 will thank you for your support, as will the Speedway Star
  13. And in your day, some English bloke being promoted as a Russian called Baranov wasn't mickey mouse or others riding under aliases ?
  14. Surely that is wrong. You are maybe confusing the BSF with Facebook ? You can read the BSF if you are a non member. Most of it anyway
  15. The return of the guy from the Red Herring fleet, Baranov racing against a cheetah
  16. Maybe be better if the person who started the thread can re-title it something like 'Bollix about Facebook' and start a new thread about Coventry......
  17. Yes. I forgot to add.....if possible start a new thread on the oval car forum and not here
  18. A very interesting story is developing here. But surely to use your own logic, shouldn't you start a new thread, as I don't see the relevance to 'Coventry stadium revisited ' with this
  19. Maybe they see John as a car crash waiting to happen. More bangers than stocks, although I can imagine one or two groups would like to put him in the stocks
  20. I am just wondering out loud really here, but someone who hasn't been to a speedway meeting for 15 years, who has no intention of ever going again, who even stated his association with speedway was a bit of a waste of time, and repeatedly stated his dislike for this forum and many times announced his departure, added to his repeated preference for oval car racing.....surely the solution would be to join an oval car forum and you can better get your questions answered.......seems simple enough to me,but
  21. I thought you was a big wig in a number of groups on Facebook ? I don’t understand the current situation. Can you clarify what has happened to you and the groups, as you were forever extolling their virtues over the BSF. But you now seem to be here frequently, so I can only guess there has been a parting of the ways
  22. Looks interesting, an outdoor track, free for spectators, with varying classes. Looks more like a Flat track on ice, rather than the normal indoor ice speedway series that is held in the US https://www.highvoltage414.com/icerace
