  1. No-one from Denmark answered your question f-s-p. Anyway,Denmark are doing another couple of days training/bonding in Britain.03.03,Coventry and 04.03 at Stoke. Plus the 80cc elite squad looks like this, with some super talent there Mikkel B Jensen Mikkel Michelsen Lasse Bjerre Niklas Porsing Simon Fischer Kasper Lykke Nielsen Marc Randrup Michael Jepsen Jensen Rasmus Jensen Nikolaj Jakobsen
  2. And a good tv piece on Posa Serenius Posa
  3. It did surprise me as well.Maybe they are the only riders who wanted to go to Poland for this???????? Both in the Ufa junior team. But i would have thought Baltachev would be a better choice.Maybe someone else knows?Weter?
  4. And other nominations have been made for the Russian riders Team Championship,Krasnogorsk 16/17.02 V.Khomitsevich S.Arkhipov N.Krasnikov Euro Semi,Sanok26.01 I.Kononov R.Akimenko Euro Final,Sanok27.01 N.Ryabokon N.Alekseyev
  5. Great fotos weter.I see it is hard to get N.Krasnikov to smile even at his home track Does he talk much?He seems very quiet.Do you know how many people were there?
  6. Think you're right Conkers.Only one of my riders even qualified Pity about Bulankin as he was involved in some good heats and what a fantastic bit of skill to get back on the bike when all looked lost Some great heats there.Really is a tough meeting with so many good riders
  7. Bryn involved in the blue mag trade? Think about my journey home on my pushbike all the way back to Tooting Still it was closer than Rye House or Arena. And i did cycle to and from eastbourne a few times when the weather was good
  8. Well in his first heat it seems he was delaying at the start and just as he moved back the tapes went up,leaving him stuck there. But the opinion is he didn't want to make the start as his Ufa team colleagues(Baltachev & Bulankin)needed points desperately from the heat.So maybe Krasnikov decided to let them go In the second heat he clashed with Arkhipov and was excluded Then in the last heat clash with the Khomitsevich brothers.Dmitri made the start and pushed Nikolai out allowing Vitali to pass him
  9. 10. Plus they always seemed to have a "proper" end of season meeting with mechanics heats and plenty of frolics involving Uncle Len.At Plough Lane it was much more sober with Maido in charge
  11. So no chance of league speedway there in the near future! Surely though there is enough interest in Latvia for 2 league tracks?.How much interest from tv and newspapers/magazine is there in Latvia? And i hear Laguta will have his case for Latvian citizenship heard at the end of this month? Is there a problem because he doesn't know the language?
  12. Remember going in the 80s on my bicycle.Used to work near Covent Garden and pedal up.They always let me take my bike.Luckily because no way would i leave it outside that place! Used to sit on the back straight and there was an old bloke with a beard who sat in front of me.Always remember him coz he had to shine a torch on his programme to fill it in.20 years on and my eyes are getting a bit like that now Plus the other character there was the big guy who sold the Speedway Mail.Always chirpy. Was his name Arthur?
  13. Result from Sankt Johann im Pongau taken from inspeed.de 1. Zorn 15 2. Svensson 10 3. A.Klatovsky 12 4. Stellingwerf 11 5. Skabraut 10 6. Simon 9 7. Bruckner 7 8. Holstein 6 9. 14. Have you any info on the new track in Viski,Stomat.What are the plans there?
  15. And again it only takes a matter of weeks for Baraboshkins form to dip dramatically Hope Dmitri gets going tomorrow. Never saw Cribby in tears, but i did start a thread about him and his Ice racing exploits a few years ago.Is there anyone better than Bruce to give as an example of a great speedway rider?Never a top liner but the guy was one of those that any sport needs. Can't imagine him in tears tbh
  16. Just looked now you said that.On the main page there is no programme planned for 21:50!. But looked on the sport programme and there is "21:50 the Conduct- sport" on for 15 minutes tomorrow.Maybe that is the programme.I hope it comes up on the link provided And latest from Ufa and Ivan Ivanov has 2 last places so far!

  18. Not doubt about Krasnikov other than injury stopping him 2.D.Bulankin 3.I.Kononov Looks like there will be something from the Ufa Final on Bashkortistan tv on the 6th 6 January (Ufa time (19.50 msk)) http://www.tv-rb.ru/modules.php?name=tv temp -30/-32°C
  19. Well if you type these into Google maps you should find the tracks easily enough Guestrow, plauer chaussee Stralsund,Barther Strasse Teterow Bergring Brokstedt Holsted,Ribevej Outrup,Hennevej Vojens, vojumvej Skaerbaek-speedway + car tracks Korskrovej(Esbjerg)-great pic of the 3 tracks, plus the old longtrack+motox I did look for Costa Mesa a while back. But it was a very built up area.Never found it Sterlitamak-looks like the track by the P-314 road Balakovo-if you zoom in and go a bit to the left by the river, that looks like the track Just wonder what that stadium is if you type in Ufa,and go to the east.A very large looking track by the river. Is it the Ice racing track?Looks too big but there are two tracks one inside the other if i am right Gillman(wilkins road) in Australia is also easy to find. One track inside the other. If i found the right one
  20. Thanks arnieg.Think Kornev has also made a comeback on ice this year.
  21. Doesn't really belong here, but this is where the Russian/Soviet experts look,so.... Can anyone put names to faces in this photo from 1990 tour?. USSR
  22. But how does compare to the last big period for attendances in the 70s and 80s?Is there a big difference in how much bread or how many beer's you can buy?
  23. Glad you done that conkers.I had a bit of trouble working it all out today,as i couldn't access www.russpeedway.ru for some reason.Kononov is looking like he might be a challenger for one of the World Championship spots
  24. Seems to be the way these meetings go.Same thing in Germany. They have a great line-up to get the thing started and then gradually it gets poorer each year.Look at the Night of Speedway in Neustadt/Dosse!
